I’m glad I have the older formula pink. The 2 of the new ones I’m most interested in (the plum and the bright coral/cherry) I think I have similar shade already with my RMS Hanky Panky and Pat McGrath Electric Bloom blushes. They may not be exactly the same, but they are close enough for me and both in formulas I love.

I like Cherry and Rosewood but I have to be honest I will not pick any of these up. I have my old Pink one and I’m happy with that, this new formula doesn’t excite me. It’s a shame Dior is reformulating everything to become clean, it’s so dumb. Ugh. Thank you so much for your review!

The same thing happened to me with the shade Mahogany. When I first applied it I thought it looked patchy and horrible on my fair skin and decided to return it, but after I blended it well and let a few minutes pass I was surprised to see that it somehow turned into a rosy bronze shade, I've no idea how. I also mixed it with Rosewood and honestly I really like that combination for summer. Thanks for your review!

I got mahogany today based off this review. I have very fair skin, like BR12/ B10 in chanel. I love this shade. It can look bruise like pretty quickly but if you’re light handed, it’s actually quite the look and I love it!

I ordered the Rosewood shade! I tend to stay away from pink blushes but Rosewood looks muted and perfect. I have the old coral shade and I agree that the formula isn't my favourite, but it lasts so well! My face tends to eat blush so that's a big win 😂

I used rosewood today with. Zoeva blush brush and wow one dip and sweep! I’m impressed but I didn’t have the old one but I’m sold and actually prefer theses to the hourglass.

Nice format. I actually like all of them on you. The mahogany does look good on your skin.

Hello Sofia, thank you for your review. I was in the shop and I could see these blushes personally. I must say I am in love with the Cherry color, it looks really unique. I love nail polishes of this color, this is my color! I had an impression that the Cherry blush was softer than Rosewood? Is it possible? Of course I swatched them with my finger in the shop and the Rosewood color is hardly noticeable! No pigmentation and hard. And Cherry is more pigmented, of course, but also softer? Don’t you have this impression? Or they are the same, just Rosewood doesn’t show up on my skin (my skin has got really dark in the last weeks because the sun is so strong!), my skin on the face is however not so dark LOL

I think I'll skip out on the dior blushes all together and get some Gucci ones instead haha. Happy I have a good collection of the old dior formulation, so I don't feel like I'm missing out much. Doing god's work as usual!

You know... a few years ago when I started looking at makeup Dior seemed to have an incredible perception around it for quality, especially at the price point (cheaper end of luxury). At that time I'd always have been up for trying a Dior product in stores to see if it was a good option. Over the years there have been items discontinued like the airflash and most other products reformulated. Off the top of my head the best comment I've seen on the reformulations is "well Its about the same" with most making the product at least a little bit worse. I'm curious to see the long term implication this will have on the brand. I'm in no way against "clean" beauty so long as there are proper preservatives especially because I know clean beauty can produce amazing products just like non-clean beauty can. That said, as someone who doesn't care either way, I find myself very detracted from the brand as a whole due to quality issues. The Dior Forever concealer has been my favorite to date, but I only use one every year or two, am just starting on a new bottle (pre-reformulation) after the other got a little too old for my liking and my hope is someone comes out with a competing product in my shade after I saw how much the reformulation oxidized. Now I'd easily walk by the brand in the store assuming it wasn't worth my time and if that's general perception for the market it doesn't bode well for the brand.

Dior was my favorite brand for the eyeshadows and blushes and now the reformulation comes 😢

I’m more impressed with the BK brush than the blush. LOL It blended the Mahogany shade to perfection. I thought it was going to stay patchy.

Actually, the blush itself is pretty easy to blend even though it can look patchy at first. I just bought mahogany, I was surprised I was able to blend it out as well! Amanda Z tested it out in her latest video, you can see how she blended it out and she’s fair skin toned.

I wanted to get this blush now I am not sure because the tones may aren't what I want. Thank you for this video and saving my credit card 😉

Interesting …. I have never seen blush applied like this! I have always been very shy with it, probably because I have pigmentation and redness. The last color “cherry” looks like the Armani #61 - which I got at Nordy’s after a makeover but haven’t used yet. The Dior looks long lasting and I love the embossing! My original has all silver packaging 😉

I picked up the Rosewood shade and I'm really looking forward to the new Gucci shades to drop!

I do understand why Dior would want to remove talc from the ingredients list. Yes, they are jumping on the clean beauty trend. It also alleviates a big headache for them on the materials side. Asbestos free talc is a concern for people. We just presume that big companies are able to find asbestos free talc easily. Now, Dior doesn’t have to worry about it.

Thank you so much :) So the reason people avoid talc (as I understand it) is that asbestos is a naturally occurring ingredient that is sometimes found alongside talc when the ingredient is mined. So if cheap mining practices are used there is a risk. There was an issue with Claire's makeup recently that scared everyone. I am not personally afraid of it in luxury makeup but a lot of people us a "better safe than sorry" approach. I don't think talc itself is harmful

What brushes do you use?

I love the Berry blush but I don't love the price. I'd have to see if I could find it on sale. Also if I'm being honest, I like the finish of Persona Blush better on my skin.

I have Coral and Pink. Does the new one comes w a mirror now? The old one comes w faux blur mirror. It should have one considering the price🤧

Tell me rosewood suitable for dark skin?

I haven't any of these. But I have the original blushes from dior with the black case. Well, I like so much the rosewood and the cherry shade. However cherry looks very similar to Red Smile blush, so I think I wouldn't buy it. I have a similar shade to rosewood from Estee Lauder which is Rebelious Rose but more darker than this and very blendable. I have a little bit lighter complection than you. I don't like berry so much, I wouldn't try at all the mahongany. Maybe, I will go to check Rosewood but I am not pretty sure that I will buy it. What I like in you is the texture, it looks very uniformed to you and natural. You look stunning with Cherry and Rosewood shades.

I haven't been using beauty products containing talc for years, so now , as these blushes are talc free I am finally ready to give them a go.

Nobody uses fan brushes anymore . I use the fan brush all the time to of lightly apply blush.

I want to ask this: Is Dior a very expensive product in other countries? For example, in our country, an architect's monthly salary is 11,200 TL, i.e. 390$, and dior blush is 1,500 TL, 55$, I wonder if it puts a strain on your budget, too?

I would be interested to see some of these shades compared to similar colours in the Gucci line. They don’t have Gucci in store at my local Sephora 😢

The cherry one colour looks lovely but do wish they leave the formula alone and insted of being clean beauty they become cruelty-free insted

I decided to pick up some of the old formula eye shadows before they disappear. Sephora was almost out but Ulta still had all of them at the time I ordered. Disappointed in the formula change. 😢

Hi Sofia! Do you have any problems with hard pan? I just looked at them in 2 stores and in both they were already hard panned! Sure people do weird things with testers, but all the other blushes in store looked fine, these were terrible.

For my skin tone and skin type I am not impressed with the new formula. I definitely prefer the old formula formulas in terms of color and silkiness. I actually think I’m going to return the new pink and coral after trying them. Maybe in the future I’ll try the rosewood and cherry. Maybe I’ll like them more because I can’t compare those colors to an original one. I’m getting bitter with Dior for reformulating because their concealer was my holy grail and the new one is not as good as the original. Also they discontinued my favorite foundation the one in the spray bottle. I’m not bothered by them wanting to be clean if the formula was equally as good but for me the clean formulas are just not as good. And I know clean formulas can be great because I love Haus Labs foundation and Kosas concealer.

Are the mirrors in your blushes bad quality? I picked up cherry and love the actual blush but the mirror in it is so bad and fuzzy! Makes me bummed especially for the price. I thought there was a plastic film on there and scratched the mirror trying to get it off.. there wasn’t one.

How much “adapting” can a product do when it is not coming in contact with the skin? I apply serum, moisturizer, physical sunscreen, and foundation. Realistically, how much is a product going on after all that going to adapt? That’s a rhetorical question by the way. I know the answer because I had the chance to try the reformulated pink shade. The answer was zero. Perhaps women who don’t do as much skincare prep will get more transformation. Buy them because you like the color and how they translate from pan (densely packed pigment) to skin (blended out), but not because you think the product is going to magically transform into something uniquely you. Most of us simply have too many other products between our skin and the blush to result in much change.

That's a great point. Maybe some of the younger gen z customers who wear barely anything will have more of an effect with the PH and warmth of their skin.But I am wearing like a million layers of sunscreen and also my foundation and bronzer lol

That is a good point there. Kind of like what Chanel did with the No 1 de Chanel line that they launched at Ulta. I think they could have maybe done this with the Backstage line and then kept the regular line the same

Do you find that the pink one looks pink on you in real life? It just looks peachy on in the video. They are going "clean" but it seems the quality is going downhill, doesn't make sense for a luxury brand to not deliver exceptional quality when you're paying for a luxury experience.

Yes it looks pink to me. They have that pH adapting which I think changes the tone ever so slightly

Old reformulation is better from Dior on everything I’ve tried from the old formula vs the new formula

You should try using Mahogany as if it were a contour, so not on the apples of the cheeks but more in the hollows and towards the temples. As for the new shades of pink and coral, there's no way they can work for deeper skin tones now since they have so much white pigment. I honestly sometimes wonder if makeup higher ups think people are stupid, blind or both. Maybe it's just proof that all the people who make these decisions are men (who have been shown to have a harder time seeing differences between shades). In any case, it's also a bad business move. You have an iconic product that people have loved for years. Why the f do you change it? I can understand if you want to change the formula to make it clean, but at least don't change the effing colour, which is the main reason people liked it in the first place.

I have a conspiracy theory about brands going “clean”. It’s just a theory, not researched. There a mega corporations who incentivize companies to promote their social credit score by adhering and aligning themselves with climate/social issues. I think the companies going “clean” are doing so to boost their score and financial incentives.

There is no right or wrong way to apply blush and every one's face is different. When we naturally blush, we blush across the cheeks and nose. I understand that depending on the country and age group there are different trends on how to apply makeup.

@@SofiaSeesBeauty of course in Makeup there is no right or wrong. To my mind I believe keeping a two-finger-distance to both sides of your nose without blush would look much more harmonious on your face. Wayne Goss has videos about this technique.
