Diode Testing - A Super Simple way to Test a Diode (2019)
This video is to show you a super simple way on how to test a diode.
How??
By using the most common testing equipment every electronic technician already have.
Before you can fully test a diode, you have to understand how a diode works. If you understand how a diode works, then you will know exactly why we test a diode the way we test it.
Most electronic technician doesn't know to to even do this simple test using the multi-meter. They sometimes don't even know that their multi-meter is capable of doing this test.
Watch this video and learn the super simple way to test a diode and you can test any diode in any circuit.

Hi. Excellent tutorial to demonstrate how to test a diode with easy to understand illustrations and simple text and diagrams. One of the best I have followed. I have zero knowledge of basic electronics. A big thank You.
Thanks for this amazing way of testing a Diode. I really appreciate. I hope to see more of your videos soon. Thanks
Thank you. I bet many of the viewers on these vids are not familiar at all with this field. I'd like to see more as easily explained and shown. Sir, maybe give us a short list of most uses of these components, inside the inner inside of the things we use daily, and their importance to our devices? Just an idea 🙂
Best tutorial ever , congratulations 👍
Keep on pushing God can blessed you
Cool video shot, thanks for sharing it with us, well done :)
great video, very straight forward.
right to the point. Thank you.
Good stuff! Now I know that I have to remove the diodes out of circuit first before I test them.
Really amazing explanation...
Thank you for this.
Excellent explanation,
Wow i have loved the lesson

Excellent, thanks!
THANK YOU
Terrific keep it up Sir, Thank you v much, v informative.
Thank you very much sir, god bless you, you are so talented please provide us further video 👍👍👍❤️❤️
Nice..mudah di mengerti .terima kasih
thanks for the info. how to test a diode in the circuit?
Thank you
Question sir: What if I have a silicone diode that is testing out of circuit at .302? would that be too low a drop and then be a faulty diode?

That's normal if it is a schottky diode
Thanks
I found out the long way Schottky voltages are also lower even than Germanium, all the YT talks about Si and Germanium and so I thought I had a bad diode and finally found out mine was fine at .16 so just something to consider if your also running through YT trying to understand how you could get a bad diode out the package.
thanks too
Can diodes be measured in circuit when they’re used as rectifier? Or do I have to de-solder one end?

They could be diode check in-circuit.
More. pls
Testing the 3 prong diode would have been nice. Thanks anyway.
Can this method be applied for in circuit testing?

It is worth noting that u r using the conventional theory of current flow in this video....e.i flow from positive to negative where in reality it is the opposite.....Thanks for the video anyway.

W .Khairi thanks for the comment. Yes, it is the conventional current flow that I’m teaching and not the electron current flow and you are correct in saying that current flow from negative to positive. From my experience, colleges are still widely teaching the conventional current flow. Thanks!!

@@electronictech785 Im just a basic hobbyist and most of the instruction I follow is in conventional current and the odd times its not I just find confusing.

People still think that lightning strikes start in the clouds and then go towards the ground (negative) without realizing in actuality it’s the other way around.
Hi, I am Kimberly. I browse your video on KZread Channel, what you shared is very clear, interesting, detailed and professional which attracted me a lot. Could you please kindly shoot the video for us? We can send you an item you test first.

ok , already explained in the video.
Anyone know the name of the song
👌🏻
Electricity flows from negative to positive!
Current flows from negative to positive..not the other way.

correct, which is called "electron flow", but what is widely taught is the "conventional flow" which is from positive to negative.
Okay
ok what is the other way ?
What is the crap noise it got up my nose good and proper
I didn’t get the bad sign
Thanks
