What I always came up with is that the dancer is a person that is truly good and asks for nothing in return and that nobody recognizes that this person sacrifices their time/energy to keep others afloat. Just the fact that that lyric still has us talking about it 40 years later shows the true mastery that is Ronnie James DIO (RIP) 🤘🤘

Ronnie in many interviews considered this song to be his best song writing works. In regards to Brad wondering what "No One Bleeds for the Dancer" means; RJD stated No One Bleeds for the Dancer was directed at up and coming artists, to encourage them to pursue their dreams and not be deterred by whatever powers that be. In that context , I think of the dancer as perhaps a metaphor for the arts, how nobody advocates for the arts nearly as strongly as say, politics and power. He didn't believe in God or Heaven . He said so many times in his lyrics that we ere evil , we are divine . Wake up people. He's referring to Antichrist and the followers against God . You need to listen more cafe fully to the lyrics. I don't care whst you people think. He always says we are liars we are strong we are evil . He's a freaking liar if you think he's talking about some good . Your fools . Don't get me wrong I like a lot of dios music , but I don't let it get into my head , I know he's trying to make everyone believe his lyrics are not a shot against Jesus and Christian believers, but that's a lie . I like rock n roll and metal , but I'm telling you the truth. There are a lot of songs out there that I like the music but could do without the evil lyrics.

Nothing good in life is free (in spite of what our leaders may say). Every decision has a sacrifice attached. Good or bad (or heaven and hell)

That’s not true. It came from Coven. They came before Black Sabbath, wrote a song called Black Sabbath and had a bass player named Oz Osborne. They’re doing the devil horns on the cover of their first album “Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls”. A few years later, Black Sabbath comes out in England and music critics refer to them as England’s version of Coven.
