@@edgaeta2001 If I'm not mistaken.....you're the extremely gifted, skilled and talented Ed that we never wanted to accept a gig unless we knew that you were available and agreeable to run sound! Now-a-days referred to as "Front of House"! Are you THAT Ed? I believe you were there helping us sound believable at Patrick Henry in the open amphitheater that day with one of my other bands that played there that day? Randy was the wonderful man who introduced us to you.....and we ALL went nuts wanting only you to run sound! If I'm not mistaken....you were there helping us as Foolish Pleasure at a gig where after the very first song....I broke a string and had to drive home to get a spare string and the audience actually waited! I think I used a bong for a slide for the first solo in "What is and what Should Never Be"? Right?

Craig Goldy is definitely the best Dio guitarist. I love his riffs in Ruff Cut & Dio...

I love the Magica album. One of my favorite Dio albums. Makes for great listening on a road trip..

What a persona Ronnie was...he is still with us. Artists like him cannot just die. Dio is immortal!

@@debbieathy5204 He played for a band called Guiffria but I think for only one or two albums. I think he also had an instructional video but I've never seen it. Yes he is definitely an amazing player.

I saw this tour when they appeared at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC. Awesome show. Doro opened, Yngwie was next, then Dio headlined. Awesome night.

Man those 1221 Yamaha superstrats are soo amazing! Still a dream guitar for me , But being lefty is cruel sometimes!

This is such a great album and no body knows about it......It's the forgotten Dio album if you don't have it pick it up....it is unbelievable and after listening to it I found a new respect for Goldy....he's great on this

That's funny you say that, listening to Craig one can hear an absolute, irrefutable DIRECT influence of Blackmore. Wearing the influences on the sleeve. Great guitar players both of em.

@Lavietto I love those too. I don't know anyone else who knows about them. I got two cheep versions when they came out (and i love them) but then i saw some nicer ones in the stores & i love them even more,.. next best thing to a Strat imo.

Ah that's an early nineties Yamaha Pacifica...always wanted 8ne of those back in the day..

this guy is very good. people talk just about vivian but all other dio guitarist have same level. the guy on the album look of the wolf make a couple of amazing song (born under the sun, hey angel) and the first album with Tracy G (strange highway) is maybe the best album of dio. all these guys are underrated and are very very good. Dio, you choose very well your guitarist and you make amazing album. metal master R.I.P.

Very well put Jeffrey!! All the Dio guitarists did amazing things!! I'm grateful for being able to have brought a "Blackmore-ish" approach to my time in Dio! The one thing that differentiates me from the others is mostly because being in Dio was not a gig or a job....it was a real Dream come True! Ronnie was and still is my favorite singer and I'm a fan that got into the band!!

J that's such a subjective answer. Rowan was great no doubt but Lock up the Wolves wasn't as solid as the first two albums or even Magica and Killing the Dragon for that matter.

Lol...I'm 59 and played guitar since 1974. This is an embarrassment of crap!! Dio was awesome in the 80s into the early 90s. This is total crap
