Wanted to throw together a Phantom Blood suite for Dio for awhile now. He has a few Leitmotifs, the most recognizable being the one used in Himeru Omoi (Hidden Feelings) but also one that I noticed forever ago when I was working work the soundtrack. It's present in multiple tracks and a good portion of what I extracted from "Persistence".
Some of these tracks are also attributed to the Stone Mask, which goes hand in hand with Dio and others include battle themes with Dio Brando. I may not have included every single track when he's on screen but I got the primary ones. Let me know if there's something I missed and I'll throw it into a future JoJo Main Villain Suite.

I love how every color is technically Canon
Dio has some of the best themes in the entire series.

I wish they had composed new ones for his Stone Ocean appearance. It’s just Dark Rebirth again (which is what played in Part 4 and maybe Part 5 at some point…don’t quote me on that lol). There IS a new song with the Dark Rebirth leitmotif but I think it’s Johngalli A’s theme? It plays during the battle with him and maybe elsewhere in the part but not too sure.

@@TVthePunisher I think it's not over used at all. I actually love it everytime I hear it because A) it's extremely good music and B) it gives me goosbumbs everytime I hear it because I think of DIO.

@@5uperM oh for sure it’s not overused and perfectly in sync with his appearances. I just wanted a new one is all 😅 since he’s mostly just talking there’s really no room for another theme.

@@TVthePunisher DIO Brando themes were used in part 1 and 2 . DIO theme is used in every other part when DIO is mentioned. Dark rebirth fits so well with DIO but His old themes were also really great.

@@adamnoobmaster7490 Yeah I know, there’s a bit more to it than that though. The music for part 1 was done by Hayato Matsuo and part 2 was done by Taku Iwasaki. Everything from Part 3 to Part 6 is Yugo Kanno which is why we hear themes recurring throughout these parts (Dark Rebirth being just one of them - I’ve heard Part 3-5 tracks in Part 6 alone). Far as I’ve seen none of the Part 1 and 2 music has appeared in later parts but it makes sense given the differences between Dio Brando and DIO as well as the absence of any other characters save for Joseph and Susie Q. I just would have liked a new song or two for Part 6 DIO is all.

indeed, such sweet sorrow in this part, as it sets up a battle that torments two bloodlines for hundreds of years...
For some reason I love how the mix ends with Jonathan's theme.
A suite I’ve wanted to do for awhile. Dio Brando in Part 1 has a few particular themes assigned to him that I’ve done some extensions for but not all of them. He has at least a couple leitmotifs you can notice in these tracks, including one in Conviction (which I previously considered a “Straizo Theme” but in reality it’s probably playing due to Dio and his minions during that sequence). The leitmotif I’m referring to there is present right at the beginning of Chained Power and in the snippet of Persistence that I extracted for this suite (which btw is a hard track to upload due to the algorithm). Honestly the leitmotif is in most of the tracks, you’ll recognize it pretty easily listening to this as a whole. It ends on Jonathan’s theme, which well…they are pretty tied together (literally after Part 1…)…there was like 1 or 2 additional tracks I could have used featuring music attributed to both but they really weren’t all that menacing. Plus one of them I can confirm KZread algorithm does not like (it’s the music playing during the football match)…so best to just let that be. I hope you all enjoy this one! I know there’s one several are waiting on…from a man just wanting to enjoy a quiet life. Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten just bouncing around project to project and my personal life hasn’t been at its best (health issues).
