I should've written this pinned post when I published the video but oof, I'll do it now. Yes, I know the footage is from Mosnters Resurrected, but I refuse to dishonor it by associating this bloody amazing model with Monsters Resurrected. A good friend of mind, contacted the designer of the model, and apparently it was originally intended for Dinosaur Revolution, but went unused. Monsters Resurrected reuses it but as stock footage, but later on, a re-release of Dinosaur Revolution, termed "Dinotasia" reused it as stock footage as well. Regardless, I will respect it by treating it as what it was originally intended to be for.

@king rexy Just by looking at the model it looks different than the Acrocanthosaurus in other scenes of the "documentary", this clearly isn't meant for Monsters Resurrected and deserves to be in a different and better one.

This is an interesting dinosaur, I'm a little disappointed that there hasn't been enough documentaries about Acrocanthosaurus likely because it was overshadowed by T-Rex and Spinosaurus, I think this theropod needs a little more appreciation. It's kinda strange that the people behind the show "Monsters Resurrected" used an anatomically accurate Acrocanthosaurus atokensis model for the museum scene of the "modern sequence" instead of the bizarre abomination they used through much of the episode. It feels like this model was originally going to be the design for the episode but then writers realized that they were making a "prehistoric monster awesomeness" series and decided to replace it with the final design we throughout.
