Animals from the dinosaur era that have basically not changed are crocodiles and alligators. There is even a reptile (which is technically not a lizard) call the tuatara that is still very much how it was ~200 million years ago... which means the tuatara lineage technically evolved _before_ dinosaurs did, which I think is pretty neat.

My favorite thing about the whole Jurassic Park accuracy debate is that even when Jurassic World stuck with the inaccurate ones in the film itself is called out "you didn't want accuracy you wanted more teeth" which means yeah in the Jurassic Park/World setting dinosaurs are inaccurate for the spectacle
@galaxyoutrage4528

Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops were already pretty popular before that film or the books came out. They pop up in a lot of early paleo-art.
Everyone grows up with dinosaurs. But eventually most people grow out of them. The ones that don’t become palaeontologists.
0:59 UR NAILS ARE SO PRETTY EMILY!!!
Wanted to say this earlier, but I love their Muppet sprites. Emily's just makes me audibly chuckle every time I see it.
23:30 A Horseshoe Crab. Fossil evidence has shown they haven't changed for like 445 million years. 23:50 What about the company Colossal, planning to bring back the Memmoth and Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger in the next 10 years? Look into it, it's really cool. A lot of these are in Ark: Survival Evolved/Ark: Survival Ascended and The Isle, actually. The Taco has been in The Isle for several years.

I've been subbed to Beaver for ages and him being friends with you guys is such a trippy thing for me. Wonderful of course.
I used to watch dinosaur train and at the end of every episode there would be paleontologist talking about the new type of dinosaurs in the video and my little self would just sit there so excited about learning them..😅
Can’t wait for different collaborations in the future because I didn’t imagine seeing Daidus and Emily drawing dinosaurs
Fun fact about DINOSAURS - chickens are the DESCENDANTS of dinos- dinosaurs would probably be more accurately portrayed with feathers rather than scales
@alanvang2931
19 күн бұрын

there was a recent finding that the T-Rex which was recently thought to have feathers/fur was debunked in which they found fossilized skin of a T-Rex near it's flank and back of it's neck and it was indeed scaled like a crocodile/alligator meaning it couldn't possibly have fur or feathers. (also in retrospect it wouldn't make sense why something so huge would have those features in an environment so hot)
this was a rather pleasant surprise, it was fun seeing fun Paleoart on the channel also if you are curious about the environment and things living with Dinosaurs, i can HIGHLY recomend the artbook for the game "Saurian" most of it is just environmental details liek the plants and none dinosaurian animals that lived in Hellcreek along side tyrannosaurus & Triceratops
Looking forward to more guest episodes! Love how it ties into the guests' personality and interests.

WOOOH A WHOLE HOUR!! this vid was sooo fun!!! I didn’t expect to learn so much about dinosaurs either, and I thought the dynamic between the three of them was super fun, didn’t expect to be so captured by dinosaurs honestly! I loved seeing the interpretations and then the reveal of the dinosaurs, since I of course didn’t know what they looked like either! The challenge was nicely balanced so it wouldn’t be too easy for anyone, and that definitely made it super entertaining! Love silly vid ideas like this :) on more niche topics!!!

Well birds aren’t just evolved from dinosaurs but are classified as being dinosaurs. All birds are equally related to old dinosaurs so I wouldn’t say there’s a closest. Fun fact: Dinosaurs are part of a group named Archosaurs and the only other surviving member of archosauria is crocodilians so crocodilians and birds are each other’s closest living relatives.
