I used to get trapjaw ants in my house on a regular basis and one time I hit one with a fly swatter and it's head flew off. But it was still alive and the head kept snapping it's jaws over and over again. So me and my friend decided to place a piece of paper next to the decapitated head and see the damage the jaws could do to it. Well, it certainly bit the paper but it cause the head to go flying so we jumped away and screamed like little girls. Was hilarious. xD

"dinosaur" ants (as they call'em here) are not really huge, these belong to the genus Neoponera and can reach maximum 15-19 mm. The titans in the ant world are Dinoponera, the real dinosaur ants that can reach up to 35 mm! I prefer to call Neoponera ants as "tiger" ants since they are ferocious hunters

There's an audiobook on YT of an old SF story called PLANET OF DREAD by well-known SF author Murray Leinster in which people in a spaceship that has landed (like an airplane/horizontal to the ground) in the midst of a war between giant ant colonies, all based on a pretty accurate depiction of actual warring ants. Seen up-close by the tiny crew (relatively), it is well-done, quite intense, quite gory. I read it as a kid, and always think back on it when I see microscopic footage of ant battles.

I like how they never talk about the dinosaur ants powerful kicks, to me it seems like that was some info that was missed
