Dinky Die Cast Star Trek Enterprise and Klingon Battlecruiser Models 358 and 357 Retro Toy Review

The Enterprise I had when I was very small, but this was the first time I'd held the Klingon Battlecruiser. You see a lot of Enterprises in part I suspect because they came out first and were made largely of metal. The Klingon Battlecruiser probably wasn't as recognisable and its plastic nacelles don't do its longevity any favours it has to be said...

I used to have these in the 70s and the Klingon Battlecruiser torpedoes were indeed white. I remember them always reminding me of trebor mints. 🙂

I used to have this and if memory serves, the torpedoes were indeed white. 👍

The torpedoes were changed from yellow in the original issue boxes to white in the later boxes with a clear panel.

Yes the torpedoes were white! As a child I had the klingon ship in the 70s!

Aaaand the first thing I notice on starting to play this back for the first time is that the catalogue shows the Klingon Battlecruiser firing white photon torpedoes, even though they're yellow in the catalogue! So it looks like the original owner must have had a Battlecruiser with their Enterprise and the torpedoes cross pollinated... Well, fine for demonstration purposes I suppose!
