That is the perfect table for your family!! What a dream having a huge custom farmhouse table!! I love the white oil wax on it & the chippy legs are exactly right.. This is a family heirloom now❤ The gum under the last table made me giggle🤭 This table was worth the wait to do it right!!

Gum under a table, chair, desk, bench, anything really is Jami’s arch nemesis. When I oldest lived at home we had the great gum ban when he was little because he would leave it everywhere 😂😂

How lovely a family heirloom in the making. I was lucky and found a similar table on the curb I really couldn’t believe my eyes it has the same chunky legs and natural wood top. I’m not handy so it was a fantastic gift out of the blue

Absolutely Stunning and oh so Beautiful!

I love that you can even do this! It turned out really nice, I like the color of the oak and the good crackle on the legs. The filler/glue in the seams and the knots would bother me, I’m too OCD. I would find a stain pen and color it up to match. That’s quite a table! I’m sure you’ll put it to good use.

This one is so appropriate for me. My daughter had a farmhouse picnic table made. I don’t know what was used to finish it. But it’s “sticky” no mater what you use to clean it. I suppose mineral spirits might take it (and a lot of the stain off.) I’d like to use oil wax on the top. It looks perfect!

It gets super hard. I was going to use resin but it wasn’t setting up good in the garage
