    Thank you very much. A viewer sent me a link a while back, I did a little research. It seemed to me that its one of those things that you make very little money until a big break, then you make pretty good money. I just don't have the time to put an honest effort into it. It does sound like fun, but I don't want to put in a half hearted attempt. Maybe some day.

    Hi Mike! Can you speak to the baseboards and rail/header? Looks like maybe a 1/2" thick baseboard, and a 1"x2" rail? Also what did you use for the door casing? Looks like the same as your stiles perhaps? Thanks a lot!!!

    really thorough and professional job, kudos to you, sir. I am a painter - you did an amazing job, and i back you up on your decision to 'hand-cut' your paint-job. taping takes too long to set up and it rarely works 100%. I love the quick-dry 'spackle' (nail-hole-filler) too, but remember if your paint has a 'sheen' or shiny-finish -to prime each nail-filled spot after sanding or they will show through the final finish. thanks for your attention to detail - i really learned a lot

  • @MikeFarrington

    @MikeFarrington

    Thank you very much. Thats been my experience, about every 10 feet the paint seeps under the tape. I have tried all the different tapes, some are better than others. The only thing I haven't tried is to tape put caulking down, then paint, then quickly pull the tape off.

    New to you channel And I've been slowly going through your projects, you are a very skilled craftsman and a teacher as well. The one comment you made about feeling the need to do your own work instead of subbing some out, is a problem that I have suffered from since the day I completed my first project. To me, it's more of a setting up, putting my entire focus on the project, escaping time, and losing the world around me. That's why I love what I do and I can see the same thing in you. Thank you for inspiration my friend. 👍
