I love how versatile Nathan is, he can play the cleanest leads and then go full techdeath mode.
Not sure it's a Dingwall Slayer but it seems alright with you playing it. I'd want a side by side thorough comparison of the two. I'd also have to compare price.

Agree))) same was with cort multiscale bass) when cort want to sell 500$ instrument twice more expensive because of multiscale ( with many issues) and Nate was the one, who made this bass to sound good) first cort bass that I've almost liked, because of Nate's magic)))

@@Schtorm_BLITZ_UNION doubt it... The only thing I like from Warwick is the Dolphin and Vampyre basses.
I'm always blown away by Charles. his abilities, his composition, this mind boggling techniques, the speed of his fingers etc. But I'd rather be like Nate. Maybe it's a balls thing.
Absolute monster playing, Nate! Regarding the clickbait title, though, I'd prefer to support the relatively humble Canadian company that pioneered these designs.
When Nate plays any Bass it blows my mind just how phenomenal a player he is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤯👌🏽
What I always enjoy about your videos is that you actually play the additional strings on a 5 OR 6 string. Not to mention it sounds very natural when you do so. So many reviewers barely touch the additional strings in their reviews of certain bass guitars. Great job is always. Pretty cool instrument.
What an Amazing display of technique. It's clear you put a lot of work into these videos, and your playing is flawless. The bass... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Its got all the Dingwall specifications, but it sure sounds different. Really cool that there are many multiscale bass choices now-a-days.
Nice quick intro to such a fantastic bass... would really love to see a true comparison between that beautiful instrument and a Dingwall!! Thank you as always for such a superb play on such a short window of time... always look forward to your input on new gear! And as always, you make it sound so wonderful so easily!
Despite the same scale length and pickup arrangement, it's remarkable how dramatically different this sounds to an NG2.
Favorite bass player hands down. Truly inspiring. Hope you're doing good Nate!
that demo was FANTASTIC
Man..that opening, fire! Great playing and bass
Siiiick intro Nate! Wow!
Wide range of tone to choose from. Sounds pretty awesome.

@@NateNavarro Yeah, throw in the Spector NS Dimension and also the Ibanez BTB805MS or BTB806MS if you have one. Stoked Kiesel jumped on board the 37" multiscale train finally. Hope they do a headless version too (Zeus, please?) I will say the tone sounds a bit too dark for my tastes here though. Seems like the pickups are lacking treble (or maybe it's just the way the EQ is set).

I love that low A tuning on that 5 string bass guitar.
Right up there with that Spector NS Dimension I bought because of your demo, great contender and killer sound! Also slick using the H90!
I want to be you when I grow up. Started my build after watching this video. Amazing tone, and incredibly versatile.
that into was amazing
Fantastic player. Fantastic Demo
Goodness that intro was the best
Sounds incredible! But every bass you play sounds great. I always like Carvins. Thanks for the videos, Nate! Keep em coming, please!
Awesome... and the bass is great as well
That opening pick throw!
Nate! We have to see a comparison between all the top multiscales you have available, it’d really be interesting to see what each company offers like the stark contrasts between the Spector Dimension’s Fishman pickups compared to the Dingwall or Kiesel and maybe even the Ibanez BTBs with the 37” scales with those interesting rail style pickups if possible.

I second this. It would be nice to see all of the multi scale heavy hitters (dingwall, Spector, Ibanez, Warwick, LTD and now Kiesel). I’m curious how different they actually sound.

Great DEMO!
That "Bass-Face" at the end is World Class.
That is an excellent bass, my gosh!
Thanks for this great Demo... Great bass! Great playing! GAS ATTACK.
Hey Nate, love your videos and the really cool riffs you pull out in each one of them ! I really appreciate the fact that you use a lot of different tecniques for your demos. I know you did bass lessons for fingerstyle and slap, but are you planning on doing the same for playing with a pick and tapping ? That could be great ! Anyway, thanks a lot for your work, you're a true motivation to play bass.
As long as Kiesel isn't using Hipshot hardware and good pots, these only slay the import Dingwalls, and only if you consider being $200+ more for nearly identical specs having slayed them. If you can ask Kiesel to use Hipshot hardware and Alpha pots, then maybe they can touch Canadian Dingwalls.
@alphaclean3364

As someone who owns neither (yet) I think Dingwall benefits price-wise from doing basically only one thing, and doing it well. Kiesel has so many variables I can imagine it's easy to put a lot of hours into their builds without even reaching the same quality level as Dingwall.
That intro was nasty dawg
You can tell by the voice alone that Nate is not human.
You are incredible on that thing
soooo. I played the video, and I didn't have any sound so I cranked my audio interface. I didn't realize my audio interface wasn't selected on my computer...boy was I surprised when your bass demo blew my hair back! lol! Great stuff!
Very unique double thumb + fingerpicking technique. Guess I'll be in the shed today.
Tell me if I'm wrong here: Swamp Ash body, Royal Ebony fretboard, neck-through, fanned frets (too obvious - ha!) I have 13 Keisel basses from 4 to 6 strings, and they are all awesome!! I did the unthinkable and got a 6-string Icon converted into a 5-course (B-E-A-D-G) 10-string. It plays as well and as easily as before and just sounds incredible beyond description. This new baby, the A2, is going to give Dingwall and the ESP B-1005 some fierce competition for sure. Oh, one more thing - Hipshot hardware?
HOLY HOT DAMN. Time for me to practice!!
Aí é show. Muito talento
Sustain for days!!!
The intro was a jaw dropper! All of the playing absolutely amazing as always. What did you think of the Kiesel compared to NG's and Combustions? On paper they're veeeery similar!
THE TONE !!!!!!!!!!
I laughed hard watching some of those licks, I mean in a really good way. 👍 Good job.
Nate Ur very good with the pick
🤘
4:06 that’s the very tone I was aiming for that bass
Niiicceeee
Omg, that djent style part was ... no words 😅
Looks more like an Afterburner copy to me, especially the three pickups right next to each other are typical Dingwall. Visually I prefer your great Headless-Kiesel
That intro... 😱
❤❤❤
Mine's on the way! My Zeus is still my #1 though lol.
Wow! sounds exactly like a Dingwall! and much more customisable too, for a price very inbetween a Combustion and a custom shop Afterburner :D This is definitely a winner!

I want one.
It's odd that only one mode uses the middle pickup, and not alone. I like all the sounds except the bridge only, i would probably mod mine to have the middle instead of the bridge in that mode, or even more than that.
That neck pickup demo sounded a bit like a variation of the Mario theme... let's-a go!
Chops! 👏👏👏
Nate that was sick! Have you seen/read/heard anything about the Maruszczyk Frog multiscale basses? After strongly considering the Spector multiscale because the bodies are amazing, I am now leaning towards the Maruszczyk after learning they now produce these things - I love Wojtek and I also have Polish/Ukrainian heritage so...
At times it has a very similar sound to the Spector Dimension basses. Sounds incredible though!
The bassist at my church has a custom bass guitar from Carvin guitars which is the same company as Kiesel just they separated the company in 2015 to focus on instruments thus making Kiesel.

Carvin basses also look and sound nices than any Kiesels i've heard.
*destroys the universe* hey guys, I'm Nate
Thank you Nate~ do you know if the string spacing at the bridge is 18mm or 19mm?
that bass is beautiful! what are the specs for the wood? i’m looking at getting one myself
Is that an antique ash body with an ebony fretboard and a 5 piece walnut maple neck? One day I will own one probably an all black out color rn all I have is a squire 2000’s j bass I love it but this one?? Wow it’s amazing! I usually use a fender rumble 15 and a focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen usb interface with basic reaper functions. Do you have any recommendations as far as software goes? I’m a returning bass player. I played in a few gigs back in college. I have a passion for music and I’d love to buy your books some day to further that passion. You’re so inspiring and talented thank you for all of your contributions to the bass community!

Nate - Can we get a collection of the heavy stuff you play in your videos like this vids and the Lizard King video?

Needs a 6 way rotary switch to get all the pickup options
I'm not a metal player but I love the other tones.
Dingwall be like: "LOOK WHAT THEY NEED TO MIMIC A FRACTION OF OUR POWER!" xD
Any idea what the string spacing is or if it's adjustable?

Headstock shape isnt too bad but I'd put another tuner on the bass side to balance it better I hate having a single tuner on one side of a headstock
Took a closer look at these. No neck-thru and the 4-string only goes 35.5", kinda bummed

Can you please make (Here comes the Hotstepper) Thank you.
Great playability lml great skills! I personally didn't like any of the tones and couldn't even afford it anyways xD
First comment! Multi scale bass whoo!!!
I wish if it’s aiming to be the “Dingwall Slayer” that it would at least be cheaper.
When a solo album? :)
Is there anything about this design that Kiesel didn't steal from Dingwall?
This was off the hook!!!😮
Está re loco el chavo este
One of the few times I've seen a Kiesel with it's horizontal logo actually parallel to the strings. It's application often seems to be a wonky afterthought.
Sexy bass brother!! 😎🤘🎸🤘🎸😎, hope all is going well with you, Dave!! Rock on brother!! 🤘🤘
Bummer this bass isn't a neck through! The sculpted heel seems very nice though. I've found so many bolt necks make it a nightmare to play up high.
dude really went 1000x harder than he needed to for this intro.. lemme just pick up my face
Отлично!
I wonder if it'd just be too powerful to run all 3 pickups at once.
That 1 + 4 headstock looks goofy, I would like a 4 string with 34-37 scale
Came here to hate it but just can’t. Very impressed!
What is the string spacing on this?
Awesome playing. Not a Dingwall slayer. I'll stick to my Z. Thanks for the demo !
so they made their own dingwall. why should I buy it if I already have a dingwall?
love the neck pickup. the rest sound plasticy to me
