Ty for this tour I grew up on the bay in parry sound lived on the magnetwan river for about 15 years and presently live on 12 mile bay closer to midland but I've boated all of the same water you guys were on and enjoyed watching your adventure😊

I always chuckle when I see you wearing what we Canadian’s would consider “winter coats”.

I couldn’t stop smiling! It was so much fun watching you three having a great time 😊.

This is on my bucket list. Tinny camping for a month in this area with a canoe in tow. Setting up camp for a week at a time and getting to know the hidden channels and bays. It is so nice to catch fish when your pan is already set up.

So happy you went over to the Mag Channel & found Devil’s Door. You are right behind my family’s island & cottage.

Polarized sunglasses are really helpful in places like this. The water disappears and all you see are the rocks. Also terrifying for some. The pink rock is Canadian Shield granite. It comes in red and black versions, and there's a lot of it from there to the Arctic Ocean.

Great videos! Took us over 40 years on the same lake in upstate NY to find “that rock”. Bent rudder post and assorted prop dings + $2k repairs. Expensive lesson learned.

We spent one night in the Bustard Islands 40 years ago. We arrived in the afternoon in mid July. We did a med tied up to an island in the middle with a beautiful view of a b ay between the islands to the West of us. My wife did not seem at ease with staying there. The following morning she had us leave first thing the following morning. We had a friend with us and he found her her explanation of needing to leave just as odd as I did. She kept saying something horrible happened there. We were alone except for one small sailboat anchor far from us to the West. We left and once cleared of the Islands and back up in the North east corner of the Georgian Bay she was back to herself. Several months later our friend, being a history buff, told us he researched the Islands history and it turned out this was the site of a massacre of an Indian tribe camped there by some Iroquois raiders in the night and stole their pelts.

Changing rock color is due to the addition of granite. You will see more as you explore the Benjamin Islands area past Little Current.

Hi again. My fav loopers. Again didn't let me down. Our first tender with the 37' was an old sears 12' aluminum and a 15 evinrude. We never babied our stuff. If stuff didn't put up with abuse, we fixed or replaced it. I think we went through 15 props on the 15. There wasn't a spot on the 12' that didn't have a dent. Always had sikaflex and aluminum tape in the tool box lol. You guys far from home, can't play like that, but you did good. But also you can see where I'm coming from. Especially in our rock garden lol. You guys know how to enjoy life and the beauty you see. Although you have done more than most, you don't brag about it but make good stories about it. Keep it up, I can see your viewer numbers climbing more and more. My wife us to say the pink rocks were girl rocks.

Those rocks are probably hard on Olies teeth. I recommend a soft frisbee or squeaky toy. 🙂

I’ve recommend them to princess Ollie too… but she’s pretty set on Rocks! Fortunately we aren’t always in Georgian Bay so nothing too bad over time 😊

The Bustards and the whole French River delta area is a great place to hang out. Fishing is good too.

I *think* the seaweed/seagrass you showed at 10:23 is Eurasian watermilfoil, an invasive species that is all over the great lakes and Michigan's inland lakes. The lake we live on has been battling it for some time.

Did a lot of canoeing in Ontario,those aren’t rapids there a bump in the water

Grey rocks are Limestone and pink rocks are Granite

As long as you are careful you’ll be fine, we didn’t have any close calls. If that does happen you just get a tow to the nearest haul out, probably in Little Current if I had to guess 💪

Is there enough pressure on your anchor wash?

Where does the rocky bottom of Georgian Bay change to the sandy bottom of Lake Huron?

Doesn’t the coast guard broadcast the weather on channel 1 or 2? Or are you out of range?

That's a good idea! We didn't think of that 😅 We weren't able to access some of the Canadian stations because our VHF was set up for US channels, so I think after we tried to listen to a few broadcasts we just moved on. We learned later there's some internationalization setting on some VHF to allow you to listen to Canadian channels so next time we'll explore that

@@SchoandJo it’s pretty basic info but you do get wind speed and direction, wave height and storm warnings. The cell service is pretty patchy. My brother sometimes hoists is cell phone up the mast to get reception.

Sorry to be nit picky but this is something I hear you say frequently as well as many other "boaters". I frequently hear the main part of the boat referred to as the HOLE, it is actually the HULL, pronounced as it is spelled. I can't say how much I enjoy watching your adventures and the way you interact with each other and the people you encounter. You spread happiness..

You are going to ruin poor Ollie's teeth throwing rocks for her. Why not throw sticks which won't ruin her teeth and will float in the water, just like normal dog owners do.

Don't you think we would've tried sticks before going to rocks? She likes rocks, and her vet looked at her teeth post Loop, and they were just fine. Please keep your opinions on what "normal dog owners do" to yourself.
