Lets be honest, Melissa and Kathy DID set out to hurt Teresa on RHONJ and for 3 years it worked. How can they try and lecture Dina about family values and the things that are going on in her life when it has nothing to do with them?

I feel BRAVO is exploitive of family/friend issues..Snipping and cutting scenes is equivalent to misquoting a person. I used to be a fan of this programming line up, but no more. It is wonderful that the shows can be used to raise awareness of issues such as autism and cancer, but at what cost?

I have been living that hell too. I haven't spoken to my brother in almost 3 yrs. Last time I saw my nephew he was 6 months old. How my brother lets his baby's mama hurt his family is beyond me. I wish you the best. Prayers to you and your family.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I am at a point in my life and have been for a while where I have let go of worrying about what people think of me or say about me or any of that. It is such a waste of time, because you can't change people or their opinions. So I just don't even worry about it anymore. My focus is on my children and their well being and taking care of them. I am too busy to worry about other people when I have 3 young children counting on me everyday. So I completely understand wanting to keep the negative out of your life.

I applaud you for this! It makes total sense and I agree that deep issues shouldn't be the storyline. Some might disagree for "it makes good tv" or "you're on a reality show" but I side with you in that it's your choice to not take part in that. It's hurtful at the end of the day.

Nicholas knows what's going on. Dont underestimate because hes struggling verbally he knows!! As a mother of three and two with autism. Family is most important inlife. You can pick and choose your friends but at the end of the day your family will always be there!

Exactly. It is sad that Dina allowed the show to come between her and having a relationship with her nephew.

I just don't understand how you can be so "zen" and hate drama but you continue to hold on to the drama between your family for over five years. I just don't understand why you can't forgive whatever Jacqueline did and move on for your parent's, nieces, nephews, and your sibling's sake!

This problem has to be fixed, Dina. Not for us, but for your family. It is looking like you are being pushed into a position where you are being called upon to fix it, rightly or wrongly. Bravo has the power of the media behind them, and the are going to continue to exploit your family for every ratings share they can, but remember something: many of us have fallen in love with your family and we care. Let the hurting begin, because no one will heal until the floodgates open. You can't protect your parents, they already have agonized over this, watching their children fighting. This same situation happened amongst my father and his five sisters. He was in the wrong and for years, we were sort of marginalized from the family. After my grandmother died, they all found a place to be at a truce, which was brilliant. The only great sadness is that my grandma never got to feel the joy of seeing all of her adult children in one room. Give your elderly parents that gift. Whatever ugliness is underlying this, let it out. Risk it, Dina. Your family deserves having you back with them. Your light shines so beautifully, don't hide it from the ones that need it the most, your loved ones. I wish nothing but the highest and best and thank you for sharing your life with us.

Originally I was an Dina Manzo fan. However, if you are soooooooooooooooooo zen and always try to help people and bring peace then you would start at home. I find it very weird that your entire family is saying that you are being immature and selfish; but you claim this is your truth. Since you are soooooooooooo real fix the problem. Never involve the children in your drama. Ignoring your nephew is petty. He’s your blood and he’s innocent no matter what goes on between you and your brother. That’s what you don’t get. I don’t care how you feel about your siblings.

I really like this video, I liked that you kept your calm during the whole show. Its frustrating watching Teresa because I remember the person she was on season 1. I wish she was a more honest person. But other that that you seem like a good friend.

I can not comprehend what this woman is saying, I mean c'mon Dina really. Your actions has shown how you feel about your own family. That's not only sad but sick, how can you not acknowledge your brother Chris just causes he's married to a woman you obviously hate, that's a strong word but it's true. Even to the extend, that you will not even cast your eyes upon your nephew, because he is Chris AND Jacqueline son. So when you say you do not see sadness but joy when you look at Nicholas is balantly an out right lie.. and you lie well, give this lady an Oscar award touche!! Numerous times your own nephews and nieces have made subtle comments along the lines of cold heartless fish, that's you their referring too. Open and shut case, Caroline your older and wiser sister, tells it as it is, you walked straight pass Nicholas which was so hurtful for your brother Chris to witness. He now knows you have no heart, blood is thicker then water you have water in your veins.

I'm a little late to find this. So glad since some progress had be made, but understand you fall out with the sister in law it makes it tough. I get it.

Hi Dina I understand how you are stuck in the middle of a car crash , but let’s face it Bravo has a lot to do with this. They will edit whatever they want to to make a story line and yes we’re all watching. But as of somebody who really does know as I’m going through the same thing, please pick up the phone as one day they may not be here, then it’s too late for what if’s. Caroline saw what was going to happen with Teresa and Joe but she wouldn’t listen and she and Jacqueline would have been there if she had only been up front and honest with them. That’s what friends are for. It’s not about the small stuff in a cook book as you say, but it all just mounted up. Family are forever you may not always get along but as you have just said if anyone has anything to say about your sister then they would have to go through you first. Please be the bigger person and all the Zen will come together love your biggest fan Jules

People took issue with you saying there's nothing you can do for him. There is nothing you can do for a lot of kids, but that does not stop you from doing what you do with your charity. You can be an aunt and be another person who loves him. Had no idea what that comment even meant. You can't define what hurts others and what doesn't. Teresa didn't just make a comment about Caroline's meatballs. She disrespected Caroline and your entire family and your heritage by saying she was only 1/16 Italian. She didn't have to mention Caroline at all, but she did and rather mention her in a flattering way, she chose to make an inaccurate dig. Friends don't do that. If it were some inside joke, perhaps it would have been fine. But it wasn't. So she just felt like making herself "better" than Caroline (and your whole family essentially) by making herself be "more Italian". It was an insult. It was a deliberate dig-an unnecessary one at that. Did you see how she reacted when Jacqueline asked her how she would feel is she were called 1/16 Italian?She got highly insulted. Did you hear her get pompous at that season's reunion by stating in Italian that she was "100% Italian". As if Caroline isn't? She was disrespectful, self-righteous and it hurt Caroline because she did nothing to her to warrant that other than try to be there for her as a friend. If you can't understand this, then it's clear why you and Teresa have remained friends. Her actions would have hurt me too and for you to not classify that as "real" hurt, shows you don't get it.

Hey Dina, Here is a recommendation: You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your family. Never come between a man and his wife....ever. It just doesn't work.

Forgiving and moving on is way easier than staying angry or holding on to any kind of problems forgive and if you dont want to have any other relationship with any of them dont its simple.

Forgiving doesn't mean reconciliation that takes time and it's not for you or I to say only do a can decide that neither decision is wrong it's simply her decision .

I can't even begin to understand your family drama or Theresa's all I know is if my child or parents were being hurt by something I would fix it.

I think Nicholas is a subject in your fall out with Jacqueline for the same reason your daughter is. When family members are unwilling to make an effort to work through conflict & resolve issues, they are effected by it. As you pointed out, it's a struggle to have a child with Autism but that's only because their child does know what is going on but can't communicate their feelings or thoughts as easily if at all. The more support their parents have, the more support they child has too. I'm not in your position. I do not know your reasons for needing to cut Jacqueline, Chris & Caroline out of your life so I cannot judge. I just think that at the end of the day, all of you sincerely do love each other & it's a shame that everyone can't agree to let the past stay in the past so you can all move on together in a positive direction as a whole family again. Your for parents sake, the children's sake & for you guys- I genuinely hope there is a way to come together, forgive and heal. Much love & respect. Thanks for sharing.

it's kinda hard to answer on Dinas situation, no one really knows what is really going on with the divorce, she's still sleeping with her hubby but she's separated. .and looking for spiritual healing, I don't know? but I wish her the best. Maybe her husband should work less..

I have seen famiies who feel sadness looking at a child who is just another victim of whatever shared grief. This is far better. You can really wound the kid irreparably by that. Break them.

I feel bad for your parents in all of this. Having said that, I think your family has been dysfunctional well before your family went on Bravo TV. You lost a nephew quite awhile ago and in his obituary only a scant few of your siblings are mentioned as survivors. Not even your parents, his grandparents. Now Caroline is saying that you have not attended any milestones for many nieces and nephews ( obviously your siblings children and grandchildren ) for 5 years. There is definitely a pattern of dysfunction, alienation, ( whatever one can call it ) going on with you and your siblings. Being on TV was probably not a very good idea for your family. Your Mom looks like a sweetheart…I feel for her.

To be fair, aunts and uncles usually aren't mentioned in the obituary. That's typically reserved for the deceased person's immediate family of spouse, children, grandchildren, parents and siblings. Only if one of my parents died, would I include their siblings in the obituary. However, yes, there is a lot of infighting within the Laurita family that goes back at least two generations.

So from what I can gather this all started with Dina & Jacqueline? The Big C just butted in? Now Dina doesn't speak to any family? She's the youngest of 10!

Truth be told, Jacqueline has been using Nicholas' situation to gain viewer support & try to get her place back on RHONJ. Unfortunately, Jacqueline is back this season, to me, Dina is the victim in all of this cause Dina is the one who has been ostracized by her family, not Jacqueline.

My brother had a gf that was just the worst but if I wanted a relation ship with my brother I just ignored her nastiness and I would tell my brother look can y tell her to just lay off or not give me her opinion bc she's not my friend and I am putting up with her bc I love y more than i can't stand her. They broke up thank god I did tell him if u get back with her I can't be around her anymore she was so mean to me f ir no reason. She was a very ignorant stupid loud mouth person. I said this to him bc they broke up f ir good and she was horrible to him on and off for 15 years . If he went back with her I guess if have to deal but while they are broken up i told him plz don't consider getting vac k with her she dumped him one time bc he had cancer .
