Dimmu Borgir's "Puritania" track from their album "Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia" has been one of those special tracks that has played a major role on the way I make music. I first discovered it in 2007 and I was 17 at the time. I would sometimes walk home from high school with it blasting in my ears playing on my psp and I remember the sheer rage and overwhelming dread I would feel (back then wasn't a good time for me since I was dealing with an extreme rage fueled, bipolar, woman beating, bigot, christian zealot of a step-father that made me feel like I was walking on egg shells 24/7, so Puritania was like therapy). Back then I used to listen to so much dark, heavy, and industrial shit as well as symphonic bands, not so much black metal, but other stuff such as the Deathstars, Tristania, Dope Stars Inc (I collaborated with their singer Victor Love a few years ago actually), Psyclon Nine, Acylum, Nightwish, Deadstar Assembly, I could go on and on. I completely re-created Puritania by ear as well as did my own vocals over it. I created literally everything including the little "We'll do away with your kind" in the beginning with my own voice. Only thing I didn't do was the obvious radio samples in the very beginning and end of the song that comes directly from the original track. I created Puritania in my own way but didn't stray too far from the original, because the original by itself already sounds like a 200 feet tall industrial death machine ready to slaughter any and everything. Anyways, not trying to type a bible here, I hope all of you appreciate this remix/cover as I stayed up all night and day to work on this.

Like Enigma who put a fresh spin on various music genres, today is a day to embrace the new and venture out into the great unknown. The past is remembered, but we also look toward the future. Che'z posted more than 300 diverse dark electronic tracks on KZread from 2011 to 2020/start of 2021...he has not been heard from since. He is also known for his original Saiyan Enigma DBZ inspired tracks in 2015 and collab with DBZ producer Scott Morgan. Putting his soul and intense emotions into everything he makes, his music not only has an immersive sci-fi feel to it, but also sends a prominent message about religious extremism, racial and class inequality. His music is its own genre, as his fans from around the world can attest to. (I've been a fan since 2014). Enigma loves cats, music, gaming and changing the world (Fame need not apply). This is one of my favorite songs by Dimmu Borgir... so this is probably the best thing you composed! It's pretty damn fantastic!

Really nice! This is one of my favorite tracks of theirs, certainly one of the most unique off that album, and you did an excellent job recreating this, staying true to the original. This song came out in 2001, which was also the year of the 9/11 attacks, and although that year started rather out bouncy and happy, the mood quickly changed after those attacks to a more bleak and pissed off / fearful state of mine, and this song seemed to go very well with that tumultuous point in history. Thanks for giving the back-story on your own experience with it and explaining when you first heard it, music like this can be a good way to get through hard times.

Interesting! Puritania is one of my all time favourite songs, so this is cool. And that's one of my favourite Dimmu pics in the thumbnail, good choice. When he counts down, it's "0 ,3, 2, 1". Actually I just googled, and some sites say "4" and some say "zero". The lyrics in the CD booklet don't say.
