I don’t care if I’ve said it before.... this is the absolute best version of mourning palace I’ve ever heard in my life, I’m 36 and I’ve been listening to this song since I was in high school. This performance is amazing, gaulder, what a beast, I don’t know the name of that keyboardist but he’s just as big a beast, especially during the solo/breakdown/bridge, whatever that climax part is called, and you all know what I mean, this performance was just epic

The sound engineer should be awarded beer for life.
Im obsessed with the trombone player, just kind of figured out how to verbalise why ,bear with me, I think his face and his headbanging and everything else is an embodiment of what most of us on this thread feel about music and where it takes us, it's absolute pure joy and it's uninhibited expressions of that joy , he's let the music wash away everything else and he's just seriously rocking out. This is how I want my life to always be. Rip Nolan . My brother passed away in 2019 and was much like this guy, he okayed ,,7 musical instruments and sang . He was insanely animated when he conducted and his voice in the choir would lift to the ceiling and settle down on you and you'd feel the passion for music . Love you nols. Stop telling everyone what to do in the afterlife .

Fucking hell that's what I call a masterpiece of a live! They are incredibly Amazing I can't believe it
What I love most of all about this clip is that even the orchestra is wearing their own version of corpse face paint. Normally you could NEVER make classical musicians agree to something like that but for the might of Dimmu Borgir even they had to buckle. Awesome.

Daylight has finally reached it''s end As evenfall strikes into the sky Far away in the dark glimpsing moonlight Sickening souls cry out in pain Whispering voices summoning screams Waiting for Satan to bless their sins Blackhearted angels fallen from grace Possessed by the search for utter darkness Hear the cries from the Mourning Palace Feel the gloom of restless spirits Hear the screams from the Mouring Palace Feel the doom of haunting chants Eternal is their lives in misery Eternal is their lives in grief Abandoned in a void of nothingness A chain of anger, a fetter of despair In this garden of depraved beings This unsacred place of helpless ones Satan blessed the creatures Inswathed them in endless night Whispering voices, summoning screams Waiting for Satan to bless their sins Blackhearted angels fallen from grace Possessed by the search for utter darkness
