Ah, thanks, that's great advice. It always felt like a good technique since I feel that it gives me more control, but I really can't build up speed picking like that. I'll try to implement that and practice on it. I'm currently working on speed picking also, so I'll try to connect alternate and sweeping by using economy in the near future :) Thanks again!

Great vid mate - an honest tip for you (hope it helps). At 2:48, you are picking by moving thumb and index finger > you need to change the way you alternate pick scales to the way you pick at 3:48.....a much more efficient way of picking (more accurate and faster). I would also reccommend you study economy picking (it's solid) but I wish I learned it from the start...keep going dude ! 2 years you'll be a monster
