didn't know a video was going up and now my day has been mad

I've been in sort of a slump as well but setting a timer has worked for me lately!! I force myself to get to at least page 50, and then if I'm not into the book I put it down until the next day and then try again and set timers to motivate me to read. Because I really enjoy it and want to be doing it, but can't get into anything for some reason

I actually had the same exact problem as you which was that I was over romance books but didn’t know what to read because it’s literally all I read lol. But I actually went out of my comfort zone and read daisy jones and the six and I loved it ! it did have sprinkles of romance but it wasn’t the main plot and it’s literally my new favorite book

Okay girl hear me out. Read One for the Money by Janet Evanovich!! I’m on the 13th book in the series. You don’t have to continue on with the series, and you don’t really have to read them in order. But I always pick them up when I am in a slump and need something quick and funny to read. It’s about a New Jersey bounty hunter and her romances (obsessed with her mans haha). Feel like you would love it! Cozy mystery meets romance.

I too was going thorough a slump and the two books which helped pull me out of it were The Bodyguard by Katherine Center and The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller which is sooooo good I cannot stop thinking about it :) thanks for recommending The Bodyguard! Maybe The Paper Palace pulls you out of your slump, who knows. Xx

I started the secret history and so far it's interesting but I haven't been captivated, I am only 30 pages in, and yeah it's covered a lot so far.....but to be fair I'm trying to read all my summer books before August so I think you'll like it!!!

If you’re tired of romance I highly recommend ACOTAR. It has romance elements but it’s very plot heavy. That’s what got me out of my slump and now my heart is empty without the characters.
