i was torn about the charge. i considered doing it but ultimately decided i didn't want to. i think you should consider having advertisers for those who 'need' or want the free content and keep the paid for those that are financially able. your channel has helped me so much, which lead to my dx last year but i feel there is so much more unaddressed i want to delve into. i've actually developed quite an interest in psychology as well. i hope you'll consider that those of us most in need are unable to support ourselves. pls make this content available!.

My 90 year old, bodybuilding Dad went to the gym every day and studied healthy eating since the 70's. He fell, broke his hip, had surgery and has never remembered his kids since. It was a Medically Induced Dementia. There is no talk about this from Doctors. I would like to hear more about this.

Thank you! I was glad to hear you confirm that other conditions can mimic dementia, like UTIs, drugs, etc. I'd like to add instances of a head cold and constipation, the latter becoming much worse when given Dulcalax(!) to help alleviate the symptoms of constipation. For my loved one, I asked the doctor to use glycerin suppositories (non-medicated) instead of Dulcalax and she rebounded to her usual self much faster!

We are going through this right now…🥺 Dementia already diagnosed, but all of sudden this passed July GP called to go over mri. Yes, some shrinkage and clogged arteries was shown. Same day parent starts hallucinating children and speaking in third person. Parent was able to shower/self care, yes sight memory issues, but knew exact times to take meds-monitor diabetes, blood pressure, prepare food for self and others, birthdays, the date/holidays. Claims they are unable/remember where or how to use bathroom. Same house 57yrs, started eating toilet paper and paper towels, stuffing pockets with trash and flushing/clogging toilets over and over again. Refuses to/“I don’t know how” to give sample for UTI test. It is infuriating and then so so so very sad and heartbreaking watching it play out. Dr can’t give or supply assistance on how we can talk/cheer on parent just to supply a sample to be tested. “Oh, i forgot how to hold the cup” yet doesn’t forget to get off the couch/bed before soiling themself…4-8 times daily. Argggggg I’m going crazier🤪😬🙄🥴😢😢😆🫥😡😢😧🙏🏼 🤣😂🤣send help, please!!! Hahahahahaha

I’m suffering from severe anxiety/ panic disorder for the past several months.. I’ve noticed a cognitive decline but also was told by many people who have recovered that it’s an offset of anxiety. Once the anxiety is gone so will the debilitating brainfog.. I don’t know tho.. anxiety is a sneaky little bastard

Focus, engage in hobbies, activities to distract you, in another word, trick yourself. Do swimming, the real swimming: all the styles. You won't have chance, time to think about the bad things, you colapse in bed to sleep, rest after swimming. When you go to bed, if thoughts are bothering you, think this way: "I think about that tomorrow, now I have to sleep, and tomorrow I think about it". Trick yourself. Stay away from bad environment, bad people, abuser, users, jerks, etc. You have to remove the bad environment around you people and things, Do crochet, knitting, sewing, play guitar. Stay away from licit and illicit drugs. If it's difficult for you to start the resolution. do baby steps, 5 minutes and increase gradually, and you will see the improvement. Get a psycologist. Stay away from psychiatrist that only drugs you, he get rich and you get injured.

What iff the elderly person already has a diagnosis of adhd and other mental health conditions? Can this impact the risk of diagnosis and can this result in getting a false diagnosis? I'm only 27 but I do worry about getting older. I already have aspergers, depression, anxiety, ocd and adhd. I suppose I worry about people being pigeon holed for either a diagnosis they don't have or receiving a diagnosis of dementia but having the rest of their issues ignored because of their age and how people tend to stereotype. What's interesting is that people who are elderly now, are probably less likely to have those diagnoses I mentioned because of how the view on that sort of thing has been viewed differently throughout time. So I wonder what the impact of diagnosing dementia will be in the future, when it will probably be far more common for elderly people to have additional diagnoses. :) What do you think?

I'm really curious as to why a lot of videos have been deleted on this channel. I've noticed it happen twice, once before with the really old videos which I completely understand because the quality wasn't as up to par as they are now but a lot of the series videos are gone. I checked the MedCircle website and they're still there but now they're for paid members. So what's the deal?

Good luck getting anyone to listen to you if you are elderly, or if your loved one is elderly. You will be met by professionals that assume dementia and would never consider that their own treatment or lack of more effective treatment is producing changes in cognition. My advice? Try not to get old, grow a pair so that you can stand up for what you need, and accept that you are likely to be harmed by traditional care.

My grandfather has it, the cause might be genetic, but thankfully were are not blood-related, he's been drinking and gambling most of his life, but that is what happens when fate is a bitch and your born into a country after the fall of communism, At times I wish the Auschwitz Medical Institute was not shut down by the American back around the last century, he could have benefited from from therapy there, as well 98 % percent of the other old people who still think its 1978 and the thee governing parties are still in charge,
