When it comes to me, Dimash doesn't need to show his vocal skills every time. His beautiful voice, his emotions are enough. Even if he sings a simple Kazakh folk song acapella, or just improvises on the piano behind the scenes, it can be absolutely beautiful. Really. I feel that Dimash puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Maybe that's the reason he is so captivating, and can affect his listeners so deeply. Fundamentally, music is about emotions and meanings. Sometimes songs don't need anything extra but can still be breathtaking, like 'Qairan Elim'. Actually, I find Dimash's subtle mastery in some songs like 'Amanat' and 'Thousand of Miles a Common Dream' even more impressive than his superhuman vocal fireworks. Is it just me? It's a sign of a mature artist, to know when less is more. I feel that Dimash does serves the song - his main goal is to show the essence of the song, not to impress (even if he does; maybe in the contests this can be one goal though). Dimash hasn't revealed his range, he stresses that "it isn't important, nor the techniques. Those are only tools - the main thing is to sing the song beautifully". He has also said that "he wishes his songs can help people to break away from everyday life for a moment". I can say he has succeeded with me, definitely:)

I also love the fact that Dimash chose to sang 'Marigolds' at the last moment, hurried to learn the song (Ukrainian pronunciation too) before the concert to respect the Ukrainian audience. Ukrainian Dears had welcomed him so warmly. And he also dedicated it to his mother Sveta, because she was there. How tenderly he sang, his face was so emotional🙏 No wonder Sveta couldn't but cry... 'Autumn Strong' has always been an emotional song but in those Arnau Concerts like Kiev, it sounded somehow vulnerable. Very touching...

Ребята, Вы абсолютно правы в оценке и восприятии Димаша. Он - в первую очередь музыкант, не только певец. Он меняет исполнение каждый раз, он пишет сам музыку и творит на сцене. Я люблю абсолютно все его песни, в любом стиле и жанре, даже те, которые не стану слушать у других исполнителей. Он настолько креативный, что никогда не знаешь, что тебя ждет. Завораживает все, что и как он делает на сцене. Да и вне сцены тоже...

Your observation is on point - Dimash not only has superior vocal talent, he has an amazing on-stage presence. I always say that listening to Dimash sing is wonderful but watching him sing is an experience. And I loved this version of "Screaming" because he put back into the song a lot of the background vocals and staccato parts in the end that he did in the original music video and took out the rap. THose background vocals are so much more difficult to do and he make it look so easy. He is a true phenomenon.

I appreciate your honest reaction whatever it is. Dimash doesn't have a producer who tells him what to sing, he's independent artist. He also likes pop and rock and he sings in that genre too. Also, if you watch Dimash's concert - he sings live for 2-3 hours, jumps, dances and so on. If every song will be intense it will be hard on his voice and on the audience ears. So he has more "quite" songs too. I love his pop songs - and Golden is one of my favorites. Some likes his lyrical songs more - he has something for everyone!

I like your reactions, do not care for others. On the other side even Dimash cannot keep singing like this for 3 hours in the concert. He needs to relax in between difficult songs, so lets accept he has some "easy" songs, although even those he performs with the best quality. Keep reacting to him. I think you will like Daybreak or Autumn strong.

I have said this several times, he needs that kind of easy songs to rest his voice in between songs in concerts, common sense, even if you have never been on stage, you have no idea how tired it can be, now add the crazy challenging and difficult songs he has.

I understand what you are trying to say.. But actually, he does what he wants.. And he is not always using all his ability.. In fact no song he sang, can shows every bit of his ability because his ability just so much... And thats one of the fun listening to Dimash because we can't never know what kind of song and sound will come out of his mouth. And he needs to sing "easy" song to rest. I'm like you, some songs I don't really like (not many).I think Dimash is making a contribution to every style in order to reach every kind of person on the planet. He is not just a singer, he is an ambassador of peace, bringing people together from all over the world and from every generation. SO FOR GEORGE, "DIMASH" needs to play and sing all his hard songs BECAUSE only he can sing them SO he his obligated to sing them forever. Everybody is at ODDS W/ GEORGE because of his reason and MY REASON is that "DIMASH" would not be physically able to do so at every concert because It would blow his voice out FOREVER. I understand what you mean about some songs are not at his level of singing. When Dimash sings songs that you say are not to his fullest potential, he is giving his voice a break and all the people at the concert a chance to calm down and not die from shock. Can you imagine listing to only his best for over an hour live. I think you would be so tired that you couldn't even walk.

Guys, you are only listening to Dimash's latest speeches, try listening to some of the earlier speeches. I strongly advise you to watch the vocalise for the song "Know". Just find the version from the concert in the city of Kiev. It is on the official page of Dimash. You liked Ave Maria, so you will definitely like this vocalise. This is a great performance. Dimash has done several versions of this song. On the original mv it was a pop song, then he changed it to a more rock-type backing (which I love) for love shows. In some he raps in it too, but I have to say, I love this live version. Really no need to feel bad for having your own opinion 👌 it's absolutely fine. I think Dimash wants to try all genres of music to appeal to a wider audience. As for choice of songs, Dimash does what he wants to do. He was offered a record contract in America & he was not willing to give up his artistic control & I don't blame him. He knows what he's good at & what he wants to do. Tbh I wouldn't trust a western record company anyway as they're more interested in how much they can earn from an artist & treat them like a commodity. Wait- have u guys done Stranger or Fly Away yet? He premiered those when he premiered Ave Maria. I love them both but Fly Away might be too simple for u (I can’t stop playing it). Stranger is a face melter. Can u please put a list in your description of what you’ve already seen to make it easier to suggest? Poor Dimash had to sing this twice here in the The Beijing College Student Film Festival which was founded in 1993 and is the first film festival in China to be held annually on a large scale. Today, it is one of China’s largest film festivals, along with the Shanghai International Film Festival and Changchun Film Festival. The first time he sang, it was absolutely perfect apart from a wardrobe malfunction, he did one of his famous high jumps which caused his belt to fall off. It was hanging by some thread or chain and Dimash skillfully caught it but it had ruined the performance for the TV cameras so this performance you are seeing is Take 2. Both performances were equally amazing but the belt one will always be my favourite ❤ Just to clarify Dimash always chooses the song he will perform and how he will perform it, he answers to no one, he is his own boss and the buck stops with him. He is a totally independent artist with his own production company and he releases his own independent label songs. No one owns him ♥ great reaction, thank you so much ❤️

It's unreasonable to put that kind of pressure on Dimash by asking him to show all his talents in every song, for a few reasons: 1) Not every song can be expressed by all the different techniques (imagine him doing a vocal fry in Ave Maria?), 2) the story and emotion of the song can be conveyed simply (Akkyum, Makhabbat ber Maghan), 3) Dimash will become predictable and without discernment (a skill for artists - know what to put in and what to leave out), 4) Dimash appeals to all ages and loves having people sing along with him so he has simpler songs for the audience to sing along to, 5) it's not good for his health or the preservation of his voice (doing everything will all his might will burn him out and damage vocal cords), and most importantly, 6) because that's what he wants to do and that's good enough for me. He clearly has a great time singing simpler dance, pop, pop/rock songs, so why ask him not to do what he loves? I will always trust his judgement and decision-making whether the outcome turns out well or not. He needs to explore and try to things and we are the recipients of the lessons he learns from his explorations. He is a gift to the world and should not be ruined by unreasonable expectations. He has his own standards for excellence.
