Dimash is much more than just a range! He is masterful of singing with technique and skill set. Any registers he sings, you will feel like he belongs to that registers like his "home" voice. His phrasing is awesome being super fluidly and connected, for an great breath control. Bass, baritone, tenor to female soprano. He kills it. Also, the amount of physical strength to sing like that??? OMG, and he did many concerts like 2-3 hour long, belting full volume, AND I MEAN FULL VOLUME!!!.... running on stage, dancing, flying with cable on waist while producing insane voices for 2-3 hour long concerts??! that's crazy! However, the emotions he put in every song and make it like an art performance with good stage presence, such a good performer! people can be vocalist, can be idol, can be performer, but Dimash has it all. Insane range with super trained technique and many voices to make songs sound like something extraordinary.

He practices 3 hours a day… since he was 5. All he ever wanted was to be a performer. He has never considered anything else. He is very devout and he believes Allah gave him this gift to bring people together. I feel blessed to have found him before my husband’s second bought with cancer. He has helped get me through.

Hello friends and family! Peace, love and good health! If you a singer, i warn you DONT FEEL BAD/depressed because DIMASH was born this way. Born with Perfect pitch. Both parents are well renouned singers. As a boy in music school teachers would ask him to sing the soprano notes but somehow he trained his body to RETAIN his upper register even after puberty. He is not an alien he works really hard and he cant sing english that well which proves his also human. Lota people say he has a voice of an Angel this is true because his soul is pure. No offense to those who do but He doesnt smoke drugs, alcohol, tattooes, women and has no bad reputation which reflects in his voice. He travels with his family, very respectful in his character and even in his dress and the way he conduct himself. He reminds us of the spiderman movie where uncle ben said "with great power comes great responsibility". Yes Dimash has great power but he is very responsible, humbe and has alot of discipiline in mannirism, in physical health he loves to swim and do kung fu fighting and he doesnt eat whatever he wants he RECOGNIZE his whole body is an instrument not just his voice. He turned down an offer from an OPERA house because as he stats "i want to introduce a new gendre of music to the world namely POPERA=(Pop+opera) neuclassical style of music. He comes from a Muslim culture which is why you have not heard of him until now but the world is slowly recognizing and appreciating his talent and instead of envy we should just enjoy this ONE IN A LIFETIME experience to be able to witness this great GEM. What I most deeply love about Dimash is that each note is in service of the song and the performance, not his ego. Once in a very great while he shows off, typically in a happy, buoyant (watch THIS!) sort of way, never arrogant and self promoting. His artistic choices for the song always have priority over simply displaying his talents, and that MATTERS.

On the show where he stepped down, it was more than just giving up on the glory. They had lied to him, leading him to believe that he would not be competing with children. Because they perform separately, he didn't become aware of the subterfuge until the semifinals. He was the odds on favorite to win the $1million first prize, but when he discovered that he not only was competing against kids, one was a 13 year old girl from his native country, he chose to step down to give the kids a chance. He just didn't feel right about depriving them of that opportunity, and that is an act of principle and generosity. He is much deserving of respect.

Jacqueline, NO thatis not his Mother. React to the video Marigolds to see his mother in the audience as he sings to her. It is an Ukranian folk song sung at a concert in the Ukraine so at one point the audience only sings it since they all know it. If you react to his performance of Opera 2 during Singer 2017 you can see his father during and especially after the song as he was there to surprise & support Dimash but kept hidden so as to not make him nervous. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Another great reaction. Dimash is truly amazing. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my KZread recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him. From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto, and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

Dimas was enrolled in music college when he was 5 years old. He has master's degrees in many forms of music. He is a master performer who can sing in many languages and plays many instruments. Hello Jacqueline! Not only does Dimash have mastered his vocal control, but he seems to COMMAND himself to perform with perfection. On top of that, at least 30% of this Dimash performance of S.O.S is his dynamic stage presence especially as he sings into his blossoming hand (which has given me goosebumps more than 200 times!) That said, I am sure everyone is glad to see another reaction to what I have said is as powerful as Michael Jackson's Motown performance of "Billie Jean" or Prince' Super Bowl performance in the rain. This production, camera work and music is flawless (Those violins!!!).
