Please don't dismiss Dimash as just "an opera singer". Dimash has no genre and you never know what he'll do next or what language he'll sing in. He reinvents music, taking it away from a genre based from of entertainment and remaking it as an art form. He'll surprise you every time with something new and innovative.

@@johnojvind7641 so you're not aware that Dimash has a degree in opera vocals and was offered a permanent position with the Astana Opera House then? The Astana Opera is extremely well regarded with their soloists appearing on stages around the world. They do not offer positions to just anyone, especially not young men straight out of university.

Barouque Opera is suited for small voices like Dimash has and classes are open for any student that are interested also for pop singers.

@@johnojvind7641 you might want to try watching the interview with his teachers and mentors which also included a segment with the director of the Opera House specifically stating that he had offered him a position but Dimash had turned it down because he wanted to move more into contemporary music. It's all there in the documentaries on his channel, I'm not doing your research for you. And you might want to check your facts again as Dimash has never done a Baroque master class, the only master class he has done is a Broadway Musical one. I'm afraid your vitriolic envy has blinded you to the basic facts.

Even Queen lead singer Adam Lambert pulls Nessun Dorma off in his concert, not with a true opera voice but more belting, but anyway. So then Adam Lambert over shines Dimash. dam fans says Adam is the best singer in the world and they are just laughing at Dimash concerts where Dimash sings playback 😀. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. His debut album released in China went platinum in 37 seconds. He has fan clubs in 180 countries. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Ave Maria". Each performance will leave you stunned.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is 28 years old. Is fluent in Kazakh, Russian and pretty good in english. His fans all over the world (called Dears) love his accent and call it Dinglish 🤣 He can sing in multiple languages, but mostly uses english, russian, kazakh, chinese, italian.... He started his musical education at the age of five. He has a perfect pitch and his vocal range is 7 octaves. He is also a multi-instrumentalist.... He has a serious musical and vocal education. Can sing anything from opera to rap and everything in between 😊 This was a chinese competition called "The Singer". It is a competition for well known, established chinese singers. Back in 2017 he was invited to join this show as "an experiment" as he says himself 🤭🤭 he was 22 back then, the youngest ever invited and also the first non-chinese. He came out second, because at that time the rules did not allow a forigner to win the show. But the next day after this performance had over 800 mil views and he was given bodyguards 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Next I would recommend Stranger (New Wave version), Olimpico (Arnau version with Igor Krutoy), Sinful passion (New Wave Sochi version) or Adagio ( The Singer version) 😁 enjoy your ride 😉😉

He's incredibly intelligent, wise beyond his years, he's also funny with a self deprecating humour and a tendency to poke fun at himself. He's extremely kind and generous with his Dears and loves to chat and interact with them. He also gives huge amounts of money and time to charity. He respects the elderly and loves children. At any large family event Dimash will be the guy in the corner with someone's baby in his arms. In 2019 Dimash did a sold out concert in New York for 19,000 people. At the end of it he evaded security and jumped down from the stage to mingle with the audience. The Dears respect him so much that he went from one end to the other and the worst treatment he got was a kiss on the cheek. Dimash's concerts are nothing like you would expect them to be. They're raucous, wild and a lot of fun. If you want to see a completely different side to him then I would suggest the KZread video of Screaming from the New York Arnau concert. It will also show you how much respect and admiration he has for his musicians and production team.

He was only 22 years old when he opened and won the very first episode of the I Am Singer Chinese show in 2017 with this performance of SOS - a showcase competition for well known, professional Chinese singers, with a voting audience of 500 people from the music industry. Dimash was the youngest and the first foreigner ever to be invited on the show (as a wildcard) and, as a total unknown in China, he wasn’t expected to last more than half the show. He astonished everyone, came second in the competition, an overnight sensation in China (600 million views of this performance) and a global phenomenon. He turned 28 in May. Dimash is university trained in classical (bel canto) and contemporary music and has been training (voice and piano) since he was 5 years old. He has degrees in voice (classical), contemporary music, completed a Masters in composition and is currently completing a PhD in musicology. He was offered a position with Astana Opera but declined to follow a career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. He sings with his entire mind, body and soul. He literally becomes the the MUSIC. This performance was over five years ago and I’ve been following and listening to him since then, and he just keeps getting better and better as time goes on. He just captivates people. Folk who say they don’t like opera, still take to Dimash cos he integrates many different styles into his songs and has dancers and strobe lights etc to make it all seem current. I am a 77 year old U.K. lady who listens to Dimash every day, whether he’s doing pop, rap, folk or whatever. I can’t get enough. He appeals to all ages. He’s a drug. I’ve been to see two live concerts so far, Latvia and Dubai. They were amazing. Worth the cost and the effort. (Christine).

He failed in his opera dreams in his classical studies and was only offered a place as a student in a Barouque Opera class suited for small voices. Any singer including pop singer can apply for such education. Powerful voices sing concerts in unamplified classical halls. On a pop scene you just turn the amplification up on the microphone and even the smallest Mickey Mouse voice can turn up powerful. Haven=t you noticed even when they whisper into a mouth glued microphone their voices seems to roar 😀. There are plenty of YT/videos that proves Dimash lip syncs some song in his concert, as pop singers often do, but sure close your eyes if you want 😀.

This song was one of the most difficult French songs to sing. It comes from a stage musical called Starmania which is about a man trying to find the reason for his existence and his place in the Universe. The title 'SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse' translates to 'SOS of an Earthling in Distress'. Dimash sang 5 octaves in this performance. It's not opera but a combination of pop, with operatic sounds and rock/metal screams, tied together with his breathy delicate vocals and a powerful rock belt. Dimash is a completely cross-genre artist and has no boundaries in what he sings or how he sings it. He says music is a universal language that anyone can understand. He sings in approx 14 languages, plays 7 instruments (in 5 main categories: piano/keyboards, drums/percussion, bayan/accordion, marimba and strummed or plucked stringed instruments including dombra, ukelele, guitar). He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently and some English and Mandarin, both of which have improved over the last few years as he becomes more familiar with them. The best in the world? Yes. I think he probably is! He's groundbreaking.

@@johnojvind7641 he does actually. The song Ti Amo Cosi is opera, and Passione and Olympico are pretty close. Also he sang with his opera singer buddy Sundet Baigozhin 'Tu vas me detruire' and that is opera too (Probably safer to say that he knows how to sing in the classical operatic style though, and slips into it when necessary!). If anyone wants to hear his real operatic voice, the above songs mentioned are the ones to check out!

@@anniebygrave9300 Lol, you are daydreaming. Tu vas me detruire is not opera. Opera is sung on opera stages without amplification. Dimash never done that. He actually sang in Astana Opera House but he was the only one who was amplified. His voice is so thin and weak he would start coughing after first sentence on a real opera stage. He does not even sing a standard tune like Nessun Dorma into a microphone, a tune that is common also for other pop singers like Adam Lambert.

Plays 7 instruments, lol. If you can play one string instrument then you can play 5 others as well, lol. It´s nothing special, many music students do that. Many artists play skilled piano, act, dances, sings, writes songs, have you ever been to a musical, lol. Sings in 14 languages, sure, very impressive when he need interpreting for simple conversations in the leading world language English, hahahaha..

Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings. His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. Sveta studied classical singing, but she is not an opera singer. Both have long been known and loved by the people of Kazakhstan, are Honored Music Artists of Kazakhstan. @@VenusAway Lol, try another myth, what actually happened is that Dimash failed in his high ambitions in his classical studies and only was offered a student place at a Barouque Opera School. Barouque opera is suited for small voices as Dimash and any singer, including pop singers as Dimash, can apply for such education😀.

He was the younger contestant ever and was called "the youngest brother" or "the little brother" by the rest of contestants and with that song in his 1st round Dimash showed his credentials as one of the biggest though he was the youngest

As an opera singer, THIS is what classical training gives you. Sure he has the inherent talent, but it is his TRAINING that gives him the ability to properly use the instrument he was given at birth. Many pop singers (and other genres) often think that classical means old and boring - what they all FAIL to understand is that classical training teaches you how to use your instrument (your voice) in the best way possible so you make vocal choices that won't harm your instrument and properly support what you want to do with your voice. Most singers don't know - even with so called "music teachers" who often don't have that sort of training in their own background, and often they over exert their vocal folds (not chords), and properly use the resonance chambers within your body/head to drive that sound properly. Most singers burn their voices out because they don't know how to properly use their voice without damaging it. Dimash's training began at a very early age (at 5) and his voice is trained and worked on at least 3 hours a day to keep it in top form. There are a great many Popera voices out there who can use their proper training to create truly magical works. Think Sarah Brightman, Mario Frangoulis, George Perris, Amici Forever, Opera Babes to name a few. Glad you've become one of the "dears" - what Dimash's fans are called.

You have been Dimashified. I know this is hard to believe but each song he makes your jaw drop and goosebumps appear instantly. And I'm sure you're going to have a lot of good friends and fans after this reaction. We're called "Dears" because Dimash believes every fan of his is a Dear one. I would really recommend you doing a few more of his live performances. Stranger is amazing and one of his more recent ones. Olympico is powerful too. You also will get recommended to react to SOS which blows minds as well. You can't go wrong, so go with your gut or recommendations, we're eager to hear more always. You can see how Dimash is truthfully one of the best singers in the world....and that's just from one song. You have to reaction at least to 2 or 3 more, and believe me, you'll think he's an alien afterwards he's so PERFECT all the time.

He and his Dad went to the hotel and crashed from exhaustion immediately after his appearance, knowing nothing, their elevator doors opened to that early the next morning ! He thought something terrible had happened, grabbed his Dad and yelled Do you think we're safe ? Something has happened.! as hands pulled them thru the mob to a waiting car that sped off as the situation was explained to him. He told the story in a tv interview I saw, 5 years later and laughingly told how he said Stop the car ! You've got the wrong guy ! I'm a kid from Aktobe, I sang one song on a tv show, stop this car ! Congrats on hitting 1,000 and then some since only 2 days after reacting to Dimash. I'm not surprised. He has the most loyal fans (he calls his fans "dears" because they are so dear to him). One of the best vocalists to ever live, and yet one of the most humble singers (I call him the anti-diva). Most of his songs are absolute masterpieces, and each one is so different from so many. It's not surprising as Dimash does not limit himself to one genre, one language, one voice. He has the widest repertoire of most singers. Enjoy the journey. He will amaze you, and inspire you. I am jealous of you for getting to go on this journey to discover what the human voice is capable of, and the kind of emotions it can evoke in us mortals!

Welcome to the world of Dimash! I am also a Reactor and found Dimash a little over a year ago. He has so many wonderful "Dears",(Including myself now) and they will flock by the thousands! This was my first reaction to him as well, but I did the "Slavic Bazaar" version. You have stepped in it now my friend! You have quite the journey ahead of you, if you're open minded and ready. He can do just about any genre and excels at anything he does! Some of my best performing and most liked reactions to Dimash are "Opera 2", (Which is not at all what you;d think) "Be with me" Official MV, "Confessa/Diva Dance" (Diva Dance is from the movie "The 5th Element", The blue alien sang it-it was created in studio by a famous opera singer in different parts, and edited together in a way that no human could hit the notes...until Dimash) For an Angelic shocker "Ave Maria", For something newer "Stranger" (His Michael Jackson influence shows up in this and "Fly Away") A newer one "Okay" is really great, "Ikanaide" "Across Endless Dimensions", The video production in "Golden" is fun and exciting...There's a world untapped yet for you to find!
