    This video was produced by Dimash's Father. There are a lot of video's out there with young Dimash. You can determine his age approx. by the length of his hair. The younger he is, the longer his hair is. He played around with the whistle note a LOT when he was young.

    I'm glad you took a look at this one! Dimash composed the music and his father wrote the lyrics; his father's team helped make the video, I believe. It's very catchy and he sang it when I saw him live (although I don't think he sings it in concert much now lol!)

    @@BelleNewman Now in his solo concerts he performs My Star instead. It's also poppy, catchy and much easier than most other songs he performs. He must have such songs, it's impossible to be vocally and emotionally intense through an entire concert without breaks.

    Melody That’s true - it wouldn’t be realistic (or fair) to expect him to reach the giddy heights in every single song throughout a 2-and-a--half hours+ long concert. ‘Give Me Your Love’ is another, less vocally demanding song (although I’m sure it’s still demanding physically!)

    Dimash's current style has nothing to do with Krutoy. He only started working with Krutoy in 2018. He always had his unique style and this song is an exception to the rule. Here he obviously wanted to have fun - he has a few songs like that to this day, like My Star, intended for a vocal and emotional break in his solo concerts. Watch his other videos from before meeting Krutoy and even before Singer and you will see for yourselves.

  • @Kasou01

    @Kasou01

    I agree with that. Even before Krutoy he's already up there. Krutoy didn't really change D's style in terms of classical/operatic genre. He just shaped it even better.

    @@Kasou01 Krutoy told himself in interviews that he was looking for somebody to work with, who could make his songs famous, and Dimash just fit the bill. Krutoy always worked with opera singers, and he said that it was hard for him to find someone new who is suitable until he met Dimash .

    Krutoy has a lot of hits before Dimash appear and was quite famous over the world.. no need to say he needs someone to make his songs famous , it’s not fair ... if so, where and when he said that, please give the link ... Krutoy said he waited for someone who will inspire him to compose a new songs and this is Dimash , who dreamed to work with Krutoy since childhood as well. They found each other. Great collaboration indeed.

    @@S_Charmingly_S I only repeat things he said himself in his interviews. All his significant projects before Dimash were from years ago and he was looking for someone new that will be talented enough for his songs. After all, Hvorostovsky died and he didn't have any others of his caliber for a long time. Personally, I hope Dimash moves on soon.

  • @Chabtung

    @Chabtung

    @@S_Charmingly_S Besides, please show me who outside of the ex Soviet states knew about such songs as LILAD or LOTS. These songs existed for tens of years, were preformed by famous singers in Russia, and yet nobody heard about them in the rest of the world until Dimash started performing them. As for Krutoy being unable to find someone new to perform his songs - look for the program he was in on TV where his mother also participated, he says there it was very difficult for him to find someone new to work with. Also, there are interviews on the net where he says that Dimash enables him deliver his songs to audiences around the world. I didn't save the links to these interviews as I never thought they would be needed, but i am sure that if you Google Krutoy's interviews about Dimash in Russian, you can find them. And where did you see me say that Dimash isn't happy to work with Krutoy. Of course he wants to work with him and Krutoy composes beautiful songs for him and they both profit from this cooperation (despite the fact that there are problematic issues about it too). But it doesn't mean that his repertoire before Krutoy was just some kind of simple pop and that Krutoy made him into who he is today, and that was the entire point. Dimash was never just the average pop singer, with or without Krutoy.

    I could feel a little bit of his own style in this song. I saw a video of him presenting this song to a talent show in his homeland and oh my God the judges were so harsh with him, it was painful to watch, I saw it without the translation and I could feel that very unpleasant comments were being said and then I watch it again with translation, I almost cried. It was like watching a small kid being bullied by older kids. They were telling him to stop singing with a "female" voice and bla bla bla. But Dimash stay polite and showed how resilient he is, he kept to his style and seeing where he is now makes me almost forgive these awful judges. I like this song, it has a nice teenage vibes.

    For sure with Igor he managed to gain experience and has performed his best work such as "Love is Like a Dream", "Know"or Mademoiselle Hyde",which the latter you haven't reacted to yet.😊 However at the time of this song Dimash's knowledge was while- developing and still hasn't studied or obtained his degrees in music /composition. Actually if you react to his two composed songs"War and Peace"and "Okinish - Regret" you are going to find out that even before Krutoy he had developed early on his talent for writing. I get what you say and agree with you but that depends on the material requests fans will send...

  • @Chabtung

    I beg to differ. In my opinion his best or at least equally good work is his Kazakh songs, both the new songs and those old folk songs he renewed. I sure hope he will make an album with these songs because in Russia Krutoy is only interested in promoting his own compositions. Dimash is a Kazakh whose dream is to bring Kazakh songs into the world, and in Russia they will never give him the chance to do that. He only performs some of them in his solo concerts, but they never let him perform them on TV or official shows. Most Russian audiences don't even know they exist. I had never in my life heard a Kazakh song before I heard Dimash, and Chinese songs as well, and now, thanks to him, I adore them. Krutoy is a good composer but the Russian show business is rotten to the core, unfortunately.

  • @nilo5295

    @nilo5295

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@Chabtung Now this is another discussion. As far as I know all his work is in Kazakh! Correct me if I'm wrong.His talent aside from his vocals lies in Composition and when I said he composed "War and Peace"or "Okinish" I was referring to composing and not in which language the lyrics were written in.Even though "Okinish"is in Kazakh and "War and Peace"is in Chinese! Now back to the Russian...I don't want to get into these arguments since fans only focus on one aspect of it.Let's not get into the cultural part of that if we're not familiar with the historical relations between these two nations. A singer like Celine Dion all her hits" in the English speaking countries" were in English, except maybe Canada since she's from Quebek where they speak French there, so this is factual and natural for a singer to accept. Don't forget there are languages that showcases a vocalists more than others and that's where the Opera steps in. Andrea Bocelli is good example. Bocelli can sell albums in Italian language just because it's canon and it's the "language of Romance".Why Opera is more popular when the Opera areas sang in Italian language rather than German, Russian or even French.Nevertheless, Dimash is a great talent and he has to carry a nation on his shoulders which everyone knows and because of him now we're exposed to Kazakh language and culture which they're just as beautiful as they are and not only Kazakh but Russian too.If it wasn't for Dimash I wouldn't know more about Russian songs too. Hopefully, One day when he's popular everywhere he might manage to have a Kazakh hit song but before that he has a long way to go due to his high level artistry which isn't what radio friendly stands for. Most people want catchy and fast or easy and simple. Dimash isn't in that category which make it even more difficult.

  • @Chabtung

    @Chabtung

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@nilo5295 I think he has many Kazakh songs that if introduced properly with the right publicity (which unfortunately he doesn't have at all) could become great hits anywhere, like Give Me Love or My Swan or Unforgettable Days, Okinish or Durdaraz. Also Chinese songs like Battle of Memories, War and Peace, and others. To translate lyrics into English is not a problem at all. By the way, only 2 or 3 of his Krutoy songs are in Russian, others are in English or Italian. I wasn't talking about the language of the lyrics, but rather about the fact that Krutoy as a composer wishes to promote only his own compositions, and not the ones composed by Dimash or other Kazakh or Chinese composers. I know for a fact that most Russians and other people from the former Soviet Union, unless they are true Dears, have no idea that most of Dimash's repertoire is in Kazakh or Chinese, many of them don't even know about the Singer, because they get to hear him perform only Krutoy's songs.
