Of course,I agree. I'm quite proud of myself because I didn't swear lol,but my blood pressure was reaching dangerous heights as I saw the negative comments. Us fears are very protective of dimash, because hes such a genuine kind person and he doesn't think hes amazing, which he is,but hes always pushing himself to sound "better ". He comes from a musical family, his mother is a well known opera singer in his country his father is a singer and I think he manages dimash, hes very close protected so the music industry can't turn him into another of their performing puppets. Dimash isn't interested in the fame or money hes had that since he began his singing journey at 5,when he was already accepted into a music academy at such a young age. Hes unique and a blessing to the ears and the soul, theres so many songs to watch and official videos, may I suggest the following at some point...

Btw I love watching you react to nightwish and floor, shes the queen, you are so genuine unlike some reactors that suddenly become an amazing expert and thinking they can be critical to a professional!! Anyway I'm creeping back into the shadows now to continue to observe lol. Great work Charlie.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help to be distracted by the people commenting during the live feed. What are these people talking about? Dimash can't emote? His body language is fake? What the actual f*ck? Can't they think of anything more stupid to say? The guy is insanely talented and his technique is near perfection. All these lame "critics" sound like an overeach halfassed attempted to trash talk Dimash when they can't find anything real to criticize. Shameful!

They should all remember he's young, and can already hold his place and steal everybody's attention with both voice and presence. Really don't understand why😐😐

After reading, listening and watching... I just wanted to comment one thing. It is important to remember that not just individuals, but different cultures emote in different way. Some are more dramatic, some more active and some more introverted and so on.. Thus whether you as audience are able to connect to the emotions or not is based on many things, such as your personality, the performances you have consumed as well as your cultural background. In other words some of it is also about if you're used to it or not. When I first heard Dimash I was blown away by the mastery in vocal technique and the changes of tones, but slightly uncomfortable with his stage manner. It felt too dramatic somehow.. After thinking about the reasons why tho, I realized it was not Dimash's performance itself but the fact that my culture prefers more introverted and calm way of emoting. His performance wasn't superficial, but I who "read" it was using a different language to connect to it. So of course it felt mismatching. (It was for the same reason that when I studied vocals I always had harder time with matching the emotions to Italian pieces that tended to be more dramatic than to my native ones that had more inwards emotions.) After checking myself and how I view performances in general, I learned a lot tbh..... It is fine to like or dislike something, but if you feel the need to negate someones work into tricks or "superficial" based on just your taste...well it should be done only after you can fully understand why you are feeling certain way, if at all. It is enough to state that something doesn't connect with you without continuing to add negativity~~ (But this is just my opinion, and everyone has their rights to have their own. )

I’ve been thinking the same thing. What kind of music or artist you like is subjective just like food and art, people connect differently depending on so many different things- culture, language, age, gender etc. people have different taste and you can’t force anyone to dislike/love what you dislike/love. what’s sad is that some people just feel the need to be rude and give critique because they are “entitled to”. Everybody’s entitled to have an opinion but is it necessary to be rude or disrespectful? Life’s short...

Cultural differences aside, I think also that people who find Dimash overdramatic on stage, may not be very familiar with opera. His first and main formation is classical bel canto, and in opera, a singer does not just sings, he plays a role, embodies a character, and tells a story. This is what Dimash does in all his performances. I mean, as an Argentinian with Italian descent, I appreciate very much that he brings drama again to the music; but I've seen other opera lovers of more introverted cultures, liking and appreciating this "drama" element too.

@@MsLucy4ever I find it strange that some who complain about Dimash being too dramatic turns out to love metal. As if the performances in heavy metal isn't the definition of dramatic. 😅 (But some metal fans do kind of wish Dimash would try to sing a song in that genre, as most of them recognize how awsome he would be at it.)

What a well said and incredibly honest comment. I agree completely with everything that you said. Dimash puts everything in his being into his performance well I don't really like calling them that because it almost hints that their fake I'll say gives his everything in his interpretation of the music pieces that he does that if you grew up in a culture that was more refined reserved it might feel unusual because it's not been your normal. Just as when dining foods from other cultures they will of course seem strange at first because they're unknown to you. I think for me at least the sincerity that comes through in his music makes it feel not like a "dramatic performance" but a bearing of the soul and I have surly grown to appreciate that so so much in Dimash. God bless you my friend 🙏💖

You can always find critique and faults with anyone. No one is perfect. Not even Dimash. I am saying this as a huge fan. Is the critique always justified? No; especially not for the most part from the youtube comment section. But to ignore constructive criticism or to say that there can be no critique of a master like Dimash is just foolish. Over the years I have found several live performances of him where there are some minor "faults"; some objectively wrong (like you can clearly hear he does a mistake) and many subjective where I really don't agree with his artistic choice. The latter is not wrong per se, and there is no obligation from an artist to listen to it, but it is always good for developing oneself to listen to feedback. Finally, nitpicking really becomes a huge thing when it come to Dimash. I criticize him for stuff I would never critique any other artist, because he is that good, which makes any mistakes of his so much more prominent. Blind devotion and fandom wont benefit you as a developing artist in the long run.

Dimash is a unique singer. He is so good that many people like you think he lip sings when in reality he is not. For this reason he is well known for showing he is not lip singing by moving the microphone on and off in really high and unbelievable notes. Dimash is currently 28. He began his classical vocal training and instrumental training at age 5 when he informed grandmother her piano was out of tune. He trained fulltime until age 25 and still visits his vocal coach when he needs to. He has also trained in contemporary vocals and is currently completing his Doctoral Thesis. He is Muslim and you will often hear some Arabic sounds in his vocals though he is from Kazakhstan. Very athletic, humble, LOVES his family. Loves his fans whom he calls "his Dears". He was brought up in a highly moral family and maintains that way of life. His father, Kanat Abievea is his manager. His mother is a classically trained soprano and his father is much more of a pop sound. He is just stunning in his vocal abilities and has a vocal range of well over 7 octaves. Hope you have time to react to more of the young, handsome and as you said, sexy man.

Holy crap. I’m honestly blown away by the amount of snarky comments. “Show pony?” Really? It’s one thing to say that you don’t connect with the emotion of the performance but calling someone a show pony is simply meant to undermine, doesn’t bring any constructive elements to the discussion, and simply comes across jealous and petty. It’s perfectly fine to have an opinion, even if it’s an unpopular one (I have plenty of those), but I guess it’s how you express it is what carries more weight. But in the grand scheme of things singers, composers and producers of world caliber, like Laura Fabian and Andrea Bocelli, find Dimash’s talent, emotion and performance level completely “acceptable” 😜. This is one of my favorite songs. It’s neither happy nor sad, rather it’s emotional and I think Dimash represented this perfectly in his performance. Your reactions are awesome, as always. Very constructive and genuine. Thank you!

@@cbdutchy2269 the word “acceptable” was used with a TON of sarcasm 😄. His talent and ability are way more than acceptable, that’s without a doubt! I really don’t mean to come for anyone, we all have a right to feel the way we want to feel and say what we want to say. As long as we all understand that others also have the same right and the right to express an opinion. I’m glad you love what Dimash brings to our lives.

He trained as a baritone but can sing anything because he trains hard to challenge his voice yes he donates all the flowers to hospitals hospices etc. People are so jealous 😆😀😄

Good song to discover Dimash. However, it doesn't show his full talent, such as the countless different timbres that he can put on one and the same pitch. This is best demonstrated in songs like SOS D'un Terrien En Détresse, Sinful Passion, Love Is Like A Dream. Watch those to dive into his voice.

I enjoyed your reaction. While I appreciate other peoples opinions. I think that some of the remarks border on nasty. I am perhaps being kind with the word border. The disconnect can often come when you do not understand the language being sung. The gentleman at the piano is Maestro Igor Krutoy who composed the song. So Dimash is performing exactly how the composer wishes. I happen to love this song and this performance. Though I also listen to more non-English music then I do American music. Those artists I listen to that would be classified as American have either been singing for many year's or are no longer with us. For example, I was listening to Etta James At Last before this. So, I think some come from the point of popular music. Dimash does some of that as well. Though his preferred style is neoclassical. He also is known to add in Kazakh as well as other types of folk into his music. Truly a man that uses fusion in his art. Thank you for reacting to him. 😊

I am inUSA and agree that in USA today the majority big name singers are mediocre at best and a product of digitalization and marketing to the naive; however, Dimash's fans (of which I am one) should always be polite, classy, no crude language, and just state their appreciation for his talent, hard work and performances and on occasion, correct a misconception...but no big frontal "attack" on any snotty detractors (who are usually just baiting because they're too ignorant to do anything else).. If a vocal coach or teacher has any constructive criticism, so be it. (But they usually don't and are in awe of Dimash's stage prescence and vocal abilities!) Dimash would be the first to tell us that he has received many helpful criticisms BUT from music teachers and those who know what they're talking about not from someone just trying to be tacky, which he will just ignore...and I'm of the opinion that we should, too.

Many commenters have only seen his 3-4 most famous show-off pieces and have no idea of his total absolute relationship with audience, the proof is in the pudding, his fans adore, not for the tricks, but for his relationship with his audience. This piece was 2019, so he's more like 25 in this performance, still a boy in male years :D already his pieces from 2021, 2022 are even more mature.

You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on KZread with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. If you send in that Michael Jackson had some diehard fans, Dimash fans, who call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all. As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed in 2017. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. In this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against established and professional Chinese artists. One of the songs I heard him sing was a popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classic, but he can sing pop songs extremely well. Your choice of original songs and covers is never obvious and always leaves the listener in awe. What shocks me the most is the use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to hit super low notes and jump to highs so perfectly, without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive feature of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I never heard a man use this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but her whistles are incredible. You just need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it is impossible to explain this talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. Its length is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, ranging from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. Another thing that caught my attention, was the perfect pitch always impeccable . He is probably the only singer who has never been challenged on any score, which is why many people have given the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not Dimash's only qualities. We learned about his humanity at the -Best show in the world-, a reality show competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash learned that he needed to compete with the kids, he decided to give up. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition with children when he signed the contract, and such an action would have been against his morale. Incredibly, that explanation was not included in the broadcast episode, which left us perplexed after listening to RuPaul, or I must call it the "Paul Rude" explosion. Dimash's resignation was, in my opinion, an altruistic and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to maintain his integrity, and that is what we saw in this incredible artist. The American show increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer abroad, so much so that one of his songs, in Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always visible in all his performances. Each of his concerts always includes cultural aspects related to his country, such as the use of private instruments for accompaniment or traditional clothing and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in your native language was anything but casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase the popularity and recognition of his country. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. Your last Instagram post just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, mainly thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, I ate Kazakh dishes, I studied with a Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that moves me is my nation and my country! After all, I think we have now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough today. Social media has brought artists closer to their audience, who want to make sure that whoever is following is someone to relate to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason, but also for their humility and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough and, at the same time, so realistic that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where talent and simplicity often go hand in hand, Dimash is a real pleasure for everyone. For these reasons, I became a fan of the artist, not only admiring his art and technique, but also applauding a way he is dealing with his success. Greetings from Portugal

I have a lot of favorite singers on my list I like to hear often; but not daily like Dimash, and I get a certain healing feeling just hearing him sing, I'm addicted but loving it. that's too powerful for us that feel that way; to let others send their hate to us, we don't need it, we are fine the way we are.

@@dalb.790 The reasons you have for liking one artist and not liking another quite as much are perfectly legitimate. Please keep in mind others can have the exact same reasons for liking another artist more than they may like Dimash. I suspect if there are a large number of people who love Floor but don't enjoy Dimash as much, it may be because they are performing in very different styles. They both have very passionate fan bases, and some of the extreme examples from each base will put down any artist that is not their favourite. While I don't agree with bashing one artist in order to make yourself feel better about an artist you enjoy, there should also be room left for evaluation/criticism where applicable. That's kind of the point of this whole reaction video phenomenon.

Nadie como Dimash es el mejor de la historia canta en todos los géneros tiene un rango vocal más amplio que el piano y su interpretación es excelente Quizá no puede ser la música que tú escuchas pero no se puede negar el talento increíble jamás visto de este artista

This was originally performed by Lara Fabian...it would be great to hear a duet between those two on this song. They have performed together, but this song would be perfect for them. You should also see one of his Vocalise performances of this song - the best in my opinion is from his Arnau concert.
