Hi Jennifer, this is one of my favourite songs among the ones he sings in the Russian language. I find the lyrics very relatable and beautiful in this version too. Another Russian one I love is, I miss you, the MV version of it. Beautiful song. Igor Krutoy the composer, he wrote it for Dimash during the pandemic, they worked on it remotely and Di recorded it at his studio in Kazakhstan, then it was mixed and finalised in Greece. Hello, you wouldn't be able to watch these songs so easily if you fully understood the Russian language. When you know this language, emotions are multiplied by a thousand. The subtitles do not reflect the correctness of the text at all. The Russian language is just different. In this language, you can say the same phrase in hundreds of ways, and all of them will reflect the theme of the song in different ways. My advice is to start learning Russian.

Lol. I WISH! That is one thing about Dimash, you don't have to know WHAT he is singing, just that his voice is so touching that you can feel the emotion and passion coming from him. Plus- he is a very dramatic storyteller, his facial expression, his movement tells his stories. The English language is dull sounding in comparison, lol. Things sound so much more eloquent in another language! I am way too old to learn a new language- Just give me the music (and feel free to share lyrics in comments anytime) lol. Cheers!

Here are the variants of the literal translation of this phrase - Don’t hang your skates on a nail, Don’t give me oak here, Don’t throw back your hooves, Don’t stretch your legs here, Don’t you dare glue your flippers here, Don’t you dare give up ... And others. Watching this film in the original English is a real bore, but watching different versions of Russian is a real pleasure. There are so many films translated into Russian by certain translators that cost a lot more because of this fact. Best regards.
