All videos are available on Dimash's official channel. On February 16, Dimash's world tour in Russia and Europe began. I was at his concert in Krasnodar (Russia). And I can say that Dimash is truly a miracle. I waited so long to hear and see him live, and it was worth it. The emotions are incredible. It's been a few days, and I'm still impressed. The concert was amazing and Dimash's voice touched to the core. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. His voice, upbringing and behavior on stage is something incredible. I advise you to go to his concert some day to see for yourself. It was at a concert in Krasnodar that Dimash performed "War and peace" and "Restart my love" for the first time in a long time. В студии они может и пели живьем, а здесь в лучшем случае, даблтрек, а так это фонограмма. Тем более речь идет о телесъёмке и исполнении на стадионе. Не будьте идиотками!

@@1061611 те, кто не были на концертах, пишут про фонограмму, а те, кому посчастливилось побывать на них - уверены, что всё по-настоящему. Думаю, что есть смысл доверять свидетелям, а не просто рассуждающим. Была, видела, слышала - восхитительно.

МОЛОДЕЦ. Самый радостный здесь Игорь Крутой, собрал кого хотел и представили как хотел.

Я сама видела их репетицию. Днём они репетировали, а в 19- 00 начался уже концерт. Вам действительно нужно посмотреть в Ютюбе фрагменты их репетиций на канале у блогера Crazy Maks. Чтобы не было сомнений.

Yes there are lots of fancams of this one. Its beautiful. A special Ice dance and opera score all for Igors tribute tv special for Russia. it looks totally spectacular. Di got his dream to sing with Lara. His idol. He said this in a touching afterparty. where he says it was his dream. and Lara is lovely ,says they will do it again. He gives her a sweet hug. Very lovely.

It sounds like they've messed with the levels pretty heavily from the fan cam to this. So much so that I feel kind of detached from the TV version, on the fan cam version Dimash especially is much fuller and louder and in the TV version sounds oddly hollow I feel and almost drowned out. Same for Ulisse. The fan cam I watched for a month and a bit before it came out and it was amazing then saw tv version and it just kind of fell flat. Weird!

This concert was at the VTB Ice Arena in Moscow on November 3, 2019. It was not televised on Channel One Russia until January 2. That song was written by the same songwriting team that wrote Olimpico (Ogni Pietra). Igor Krutoy wrote the music and Lilia Vinogradova wrote the lyrics. This song was written at least ten years ago. The male part was was originally sung by Dmitri Hvorostovsky, who died of a brain tumor two years before this concert. Earlier in the concert, however, Lara does a duet with a quasi-holographic image of Dmitri, who appears to be standing on a platform above the orchestra. The video and audio quality on the Channel One Russia broadcast (as released on KZread in January) was not as good as the video and audio quality on the subsequent KZread videos (released shortly after the January television broadcast) by Dimash and by Igor Krutoy.

Igor Krutoy's KZread video of the complete 2 hour concert is at kzread.info/dash/bejne/fKx6q6uniNTHd84.html The Lara/Dmitri duet starts at 51 minutes into the concert. That duet also features an ice skater who is not there, but who still casts shadows from each of the 4 spotlights shining on him. I believe that this is supposed to be a tribute to Dimash's late friend, ice skater Denis Ten.

Dear Caleb, this was the edition of Igor's 65th birthday celebration in Moscow. Dimash sang solo at least Ogni Pietra and Passione and a duet with Aida to Ulisse and Andrea Bocelli was also there. By the way, there is a new reactor to Dimash named Tina from Rise Academy Of Music from Sydney who after watching SOS said she would like to hear an English version so I told her to use yours. I was amazed at the coincidence.

Esta Canción fue interpretada por Lara Fabián, la Soprano Aída Garífulina y Dimitri Hvorostovsky (Barítono). Es en honor a éste último....(fallecido el 22/11/17) que hacen esta canción. Por eso Dimash mantiene en todo el repertorio su voz de Barítono!!

That was sublime. Best singers, best orchestration, flawless production. Those Russians have still got it.

I have been watching and listening to you for the past year ever since you attempted to sing SOS as Dimash did. You were the best of the several singers that sang SOS and have an excellent voice with great range. I am an 86 year year old classically trained singer and am also impressed with your knowledge of the mechanics of singing. I also have noted you are taken with Dimash as everyone is including me. He has the best range of any male singer that, I have ever heard. However, I have also noted that no one has the courage to critique him for any weaknesses he has. I first heard Dimash two years ago when he sang SOS and I was blown away. However, in my opinion his artistry is often lacking because of his great range. SOS was written in 1978 by Michael Berger as a eulogy to his young friend that died too early and had a great singing voice with great range. It was deliberately written with enough range that the average singer could not sing it. It was a perfect vehicle to show case the voice of Dimash. However, he sings many songs that do not have such a range and that is the problem. In an attempt to show case his range he will often sing these songs three times once in his lower register, once in his middle register and lastly in his upper register. He does not understand that, high notes loose their wonder if they are all in the upper register. The value of a high note is the comparison with the middle range! This is my opinion and I would love to know yours. Jim Kelly

I believe they were singing live. My reasoning is that at the end the three kept going at that last note and even the choir conductor reacted to it, Igor even raised his eyebrow as "keep the melody on".

This is an extravaganza! I wish Igor would come over to the States and show them how it’s done! This is so beautiful in every way! Lara was I’ll and refused to do anything but live!

Потому что профессионалам , знающим как трудно такого достичь, сложно поверить в такое. Но он категорически ничего не говорил, просто ему сложно представить что так гармонично и идеально можно петь, и он знает, что на подобных шоу есть разные варианты исполнения. Тем интереснее наблюдать, когда профессионал понимает, что это исполнение -вживую.

@Chernobyl was Nothing not only in Russia. Half of the performances in the past The American Music Awards was performed to a prerecord. In Chinese TV shows, a prerecord is often used. Some of the world's pop-stars generally perform under the prerecord at their own concerts completely. For Example, Madonna. So this is a common practice all over the world. And in Russia sometimes use playback, but not always. For example, at the last music awards "Victoria" (similar to the American Grammy), all the singers performed their songs live, including Dimash. I didn't expect this. Or in the TV show "Evening Urgant", singers often sing live. So it happens in different ways.

На эстраде, увы не всегда поют вживую, а некоторые певцы по собственной инициативе часто используют фонограмму. Надеюсь с приходом Димаша на эстраду эта ситуация измениться в лучшую сторону. Также некоторые не могут поверить, что так хорошо можно петь без искусственной обработки. Хотя, если честно, то и с искусственной обработкой никто до Димаша так петь не мог, и сейчас не может. Что касается самого Димаша, то для него хорошо вживую петь не проблема, а удовольствие. В интервью он говорил что любит петь, а не съемки, клипы. Учитель Димаша сказал, что обладая хорошей техникой можно петь долгие годы совершенствуя вокал, сохранив голос.

Красивая песня, она услаждает душу, браво!!!!

Dimash never said that, I don't know where people are taking this information from, and he has to use prerecord sometimes, especially in Russia. No need to make a big deal out of it, that's how such events are organized.

This is very silly, he is a great live performer, he doesn't need this kind of defense. People create unrealistic expectations and then are disappointed and angry when they are not met. Dimash doesn't deserve this kind of attitude.

Потом, мне показалось, что Калеб усомнился, что так звучать совершенно идеально в зале НЕ может. А высказал он вот такое свое мнение (записала с автопереводчика): «Так есть один из двух вариантов. Либо они действительно сильно отредактировали прямую трансляцию. Другими словами, удалили звуки дыхания, фоновые шумы, действительно специфическое сжатие, чтобы получить эти голоса полностью такими. Так что это либо действительно высокое качество пост-редактирования, или они предварительно записали его в студии, и они сейчас исполняют живую версию. Это может быть правдой, но я знаю особенно на таких мероприятиях, где у вас есть оркестр и люди катаются на коньках на стадионе, то там очень трудно контролировать звук. И я знаю, иногда организаторы мероприятия еще много чего на самом деле предусматривают для художника, что, слушай, просто петь минусовку, петь, как вы знаете, просто выступать над треком. Я знаю, что ни один из этих певцов не будет синхронизировать губы на своих собственных концертах, но это специальное мероприятие, поэтому я не уверен, какой это может быть, но что может быть вы не слышите, что это грубый живой звук трех из них, когда они поют, как бы это звучало, если бы они пели вживую. Калеб честно говорит о чем думает. Он профессионал, и ему очень сложно поверить, что можно так идеально петь, ибо он представляет, что такого добиться практически нереально. Порекомендуем Калебу посмотреть фан записи, и все будет ясно. Ломать привычные стереотипы не просто. Димаш делает революцию в мире музыки и показывает что невозможное -возможно.

Dimash, has such a beautiful voice that it captures your eyes, your spirit....I did not feel that with AGT and Marceleto....I thought he was good but only that he had the female/male voice....Dimash is an Olympic STAR with his voice....And again...It floors me that Angelina Jordin did not get voted in, she's so velvety and and soothing....Enough of me.....

Мало кто сейчас уже сомневается в способностях Димаша, но если кто-нибудь всё-таки сомневается, посмотрите конкурс ,,Большая опера,, там Димаш и Сундет Байгожин, исполняют ,, Нотердам Депари,,. Выступления на конкурсах только вживую, нет автотюнов, и.т.д.

Exactly. Our link is an open mic recording. The recording sound we hear here in this video is a closed mic, soundboard version. The technology has been refined over decades. It's not rocket science.

I know where you are coming from, Caleb, but I have listened to the livestream when this was happening back in November and it is definitely live. Dimash sang more songs and he changed some parts (especially when he sang KNOW - ZNAJ) so you could hear it´s not the studio version. Also you could hear Lara´s voice was a bit delicate - she was ill that time.

It is an incredible blend of talent.

I haven't heard this one before, so I can't say that this was live, but "Know" had some unique improvisations and there were some unique details in "Ogni Petra" that I would say that they sang it live. This is the official version of the concert and I am sure that they have cleaned up and edited it for the best result. Direct Russian telecast do use lipsinc as a choice, but this was concert from the start, that is different, in my opinion.

Yeah, I am unsure what they did. It just does sound unusually perfect. But with the calibre of these singers and some great post editing it is possible it is just a really well done live version.

@@CalebColesMusic Yes, you are right. As a sound engineer i can tell you a bit about it in general. keep in mind it could be done in various ways. So one of the times that artists may appear to not be performing live is when they use a performance track, which includes the instruments, backing vocals and hook vocals pre-recorded and playing in the background during a live show. The fact they use in ear monitoring and band is actually playing could most likely state that when they go to perform it, singers have the support of the stacks they recorded. They have the effects on the background vocals. They're singing it on top. It's kind of like karaoke, in a way. When it comes to broadcast shows, like the Grammys and the American Music Awards, and the time schedule is so precise. It's physically not possible to mic an entire band for every segment that comes up. During such performances, the singer's microphone is still on. On the parts they're not confident on or if the performance is physically demanding, the artist will sing quieter, and more of the performance track vocals can be heard. These are some of the examples that can be used. They also maybe times when only some parts are pre recorded. Or completely dubbed and the audience at home is not hearing what the live audience can hear. In the end at broadcast shows I.E. its not the artist choice what will be used or done. And we all know Lara and Dimash are Gods at singing.

Yes, Dimash's Know and Ogni Pietra were definitely live, but I have never been really sure about the others. Fans of Lara say she had a cold that day (and praise her for still singing in this live performance). And she obviously had.. and there's also a video if the day before of Lara, Dimash and Igor chatting in which she says that she'll need stronger medication) Hard to tell... it could be live with a lot of post production, it could e.g. have been pre-recorded due to the setting or due to Lara's sickness (but that would have been spontaneous and they don't even necessarily already had a high-quality studio revording of it if a live performance had been planned... on the other hand, the song is supposed to be on the Igor Krutoy-Dimash collab album anyway hmm so I really hard to tell 🤷‍♀️)

Димаш, как настоящий джентльмен, смог примирить и совместить ,вообще то , очень разные голоса Аиды и Лары. Он не выпятил себя, да и зачем ему это? Он вел их вслед за собой , и привел в одно целое. Настоящий талант и мужчина. А Игорь Крутой, по моему , просто , упивается его голосом и , истинно, мужским поведением.

There were a series of Igor Krutoy 65th birthday concerts last year in different countries (I attend New York City). He engaged many of the big stars of the Russian pop music scene to participate with this one being the grandest. It was held in the Moscow Ice Palace, featured ice skating throughout and was the only one to include Garifullina and Fabian, Andrea Bocelli and other classical artists. Garifullina won the opera contest founded by Placido Domingo and, fittingly, she is named after Verdi's opera about an Ethiopian princess named Aida (pronounced eye-ee-duh' ).

@@CalebColesMusic Lara caught a cold not long before the performance so that may have been why they went with a recording. Dimash's "Know" from this concert was live and superb.

Aida is a principal soprano with the Vienna Opera House. Other than Dimash and Lara Fabian, the performers for this event were all luminaries of the classical genre. This included Andrea Bocelli, Anna Netrebko, Brio Sonores and violinist Yuri Bashmet They were accompanied by Olympic and world champion ice skaters. The Russian pop stars weren't included in this one, though some did watch from the audience. Lara Fabian performed 5 songs; because of her illness, Igor Krutoy asked her if she would rather lip sync, but she refused.

Well, if I may ... They are extraordinary singers ! I don't know the lady in white, but she sure has a beautiful voice. Dimash has this range of notes I don't think I ever heard in my life. We can feel Lara's heart vibrating in most of her songs (I live in France) . But do we really need the skating and ... ?

Just in case you're interested: Aida (the female singer in thr white dress) is the prima soprano of the Vienense opera and said to be one of the best operatic sopranos in the world

Hi Caleb, concerts in Russia are rather silent and considerate with singers and performers as compared to concerts in the USA where the audience is not only noisy but also easygoing. Post-editing is child's play if silence and stillness prevails in the festival.

@@CalebColesMusic I'm really happy for your EP release. I want to ask you a question. I rewatched both your covers earlier today for Dimash's SOS and Screaming. Is it just me or were you totally relaxed singing Screaming. It looked effortless and sounded fantastic. Towards the end of when the aria part comes in, I swear you had perfect breath control and held the notes fabulously!! Please show your chops on another Dimash cover. You've got IT!!! @@mamatrop Thank you so much :) I did really enjoy doing Screaming, I felt very good vocally with that song and really just went with it when I recorded it. I did find SOS a little more challenging in sections because it has a lot of dynamic changes and the range switches drastically quite quickly. Thanks again, I'd love to do some more Dimash covers in the future :)

Go watch the last note again and see how Igor and the conductor appreciate the singers making them wait for the end. Live singing at it's best, with obviously good technical backup work.

Все просили низкий голос у Димаша, без верхов, вот пожалуйста, хотя мне кажется что он спокойно способен спеть 3 партии, и от этого песня не чуть не потеряла бы, а стало бы космической. Ни в кое случае не приуменшая заслуги ни Лары, ни Аиды. А из за того знаю какой голос у Димаша. Просто без головного голоса Димаша песня на много стала скормнее🤔😁Аида была там великолепная. Yes, in Russia, phonograms are very often used. Let's say I watched the funk cameras of this song, there seems to be a slightly different sound of this trio. So, the TV version was just treated for noise.

Причем, после обработки от шума, звучит хуже, чем до обработки, но телевизионщики все равно это делают. Я заметила еще на сольном концерте Димаша в Кремле. Все фан-видео звучали красивее и естественнее, чем телевизионная версия. Привыкли чистить звуки у тех, у кого голоса не очень хороши, вот и чистят и у тех, кто в этом не нуждается, только портят. Так российское телевидение, это отдельный разговор. Просто смотрите фан-видео.
