Not a reality show at all, but a Chinese state competition for proffessional well established Chinese singers. Dimash was invited to take part by the organisors who had heard him sing elsewhere. Dimash was the 1st foreigner to be allowed to take part. At this point he had no Chinese or English and was away from home for the 1st time. He came 2nd, I do not believe he cud hve been given 1st place as a foreigner. The Chinese audience and indeed the other professional Chinese competitors loved him. So much so that anyone outside of China became aware of Dimash because the Chinese spread the word of his amazing talent and humble personality. The audience , all involved in the world of music were the judges. They decided who went thru from one round to the next. Dimash was about 21/22 here. This year 2022 he was 28 this may.

This was over five years ago, you should hear him today! He has over 7 octaves, his Base/Baritone registers are just as beautiful as his higher registers. Dimash is THE greatest vocalist/performer of ALL time. He’s great at dancing and acting too! Dimash sings in all genres and in 13 languages, he sings a lot in English.

I'm a fellow South African and I am a Dimash DEAR for 9 months. He is the sweetest dearest giant with the voice of an Angel. This was not even a 10th of what he is capable of. He won't sell his soul to a western label/promoter who will want to control him. Di is very much his own man and wants full control over his work and output. Western labels/promoters are very short sighted, because this man would give them their biggest payday ever if they signed him and let him just do his thing.

He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 14 different languages. Watch everything he has done. Welcome to the World of Dimash

Dimash began his music training when he was 5yrs. old and still does vocal training for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. He was the youngest singer on this show, the others were 12-39 yrs. his senior, and also the first foreigner to be invited in the history of "The Singer." It had been a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only. You haven't heard anything yet. It would be good for the two of you to react to all his performances on this show first. That way you can see how he progressed. At that time he only spoke Russian and Kazak. His first 4 songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, and he had only 1 week to learn each song. The show does have closed captions with English translations. You are gonna love his rendition of Queens'' The Show Must Go On. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Dimash started vocal/music training at the age of 5. He is 22 in this video and is currently 27. Vocal coaches have explained his ability this way: Dimash had a very high voice as a youngster and then hit puberty and his lower range came in. Because he was coached through puberty he was able to maintain his higher registers as well. Add to that the fact that Dimash is still in training and practices a minimum of 3 hours per day. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of his vocals to see what else he is capable of. I've been following him for 5+ years he he simply keeps getting better. Thank you !!

Congratulations 👏 You've discovered our DEARest Dimash ❤️ He really is the greatest vocalist ever to draw breath! This was his 'breakout' performance from 'I Am Singer' 2017. Opera 2 is his next performance in the show, if you follow on from there and watch all his performances chronologically you will see his growth to today. You won't be sorry as he has so many wonderful songs, this is a mere tip of the iceberg, he is so much better than this. Subbed for more Dimash 💞🦌

Dimash has so far sung in 15 languages, including English. If you want to know the lyrics, before you react to the song, add "Eng sub" to the search box. There's usually a version that will subtitle those. Dimash was only 22 here. He recently turned 28 and keeps getting better. Hard to believe, but true. Please keep reacting to him.
