One of the things I love about Dimash is that he does change how he sings a song from performance to performance ensuring it is never boring, as if it would be boring with no changes. Great reaction. Cheers.

He did this at home on the day of his 26th birthday - in fact, he worked really hard for his Dears that day, as he also spent about two hours on Facebook and Instagram, doing a Q&A for the first time, in three languages (he had an interpreter to help!). I think he was a bit overwhelmed with the response - you could see his eyes flickering as he tried in vain to read the tons of questions and comments from all over the world! During lockdown he also produced three different videos for ‘We Are One’, another called ‘Aliya’, the soundtrack for Creators - The Movie ‘Across Endless Dimensions’, and finished his Master’s degree, defending his thesis with a mark of 100%. He’s currently in the throes of recording a new album of Kazakh songs, with a video for one of them coming “soon”. (He’s been quite busy really lol!) P.S. When you paused and said he looked in despair, he was singing “Why do I cry?”

Замира, не согласен. Не с Singer 2017, а со Славянского базара - там звук и подача круче. Хотя Димаш импровизирует, но сама подача все таки круче в "Славянском", чем на "Сингере" (как музыкант - человеку). Сравните.

I have known this song from way back when Daniel Balavoine sang it all those years ago. I've always loved it but when I heard Dimash's version, well what can I say, I fell in love with his voice! Dimash has been singing it for years and his french has improved a lot and in all his versions he muddles up his words but WHO CARES! I know cos I'm French but no one else would notice and to be honest the talent, the beauty, the artistry, and I could go on and on, makes it that in the end the exact words don't really matter! This is masterful! At one point you said I don't know what he's saying but look at him, he's feeling it. Well it is quite deep really. At that moment he sang : Why do I live? Why do I die? Why do I laugh? Why do I cry? And like you, my favourite is Samal Tau. So emotional! Brrrrr...shivers! Take care!

These videos from Dimash's studio are one of my favorites ❤ Nice to see your appreciation to this amazing artist! There's also another very beautiful version of SOS from Arnau Concert in Kazakhstan in 2019 - the song was dedicated to his friend Denis Ten (Olimpic medalist in skating) who was killed in 2018 🙁 Denis also did skating performance to SOS...

After Denis Ten, Dimash's friend, got killed Dimash started singing this song differently. When he was singing SOS in Japan right after the tragedy, he skipped some lyrics of the song, because his throat got stiff. Some people said Dimash had a cold or something.

This might be one of the best performances of SOS by Dimash. The Slavic Bazaar one is pretty good too. Great rendition of this song by Dimash. Greetings from Amsterdam.
