Elmer, Thanx for your wonderful reaction. For several techniques Dimash used here it is the proof that Dimash took the time to write down the breathing for the song. The author of the song did the techniques once and Dimash did it at least 4 times plus look at all the times Dimash kept his mouth open on vowels and even on consonates at the ends of phrases and lines. He had sheet music in front of him. Dimash has never used sheet music for words or Melodie’s yet here we see it. The technique Dimash used pop singers don’t have the lung breath control to do. Bobby Hatfield of the righteous brothers did it in unchained melody once: billy Joel did it once in honestly on the word honestly keeping his mouth open on the end of th word before it and pronouncing honestly as “onestly”. There must be others that have done it but I’ve heard a lot of Dimash songs and he could have done it long before this song with his wonderful breath control. He starts a line of song getting to the end of a line or phrase and does not close his mouth but sings the next word in the next line without taking a breath or closing his mouth till the end of that line. So another words he sings two lines of the song without taking a breath. He does this several time, I don’t know how many. That’s why the song has an ethereal a spiritual feel to it. To do this as beautifically as he does it when he was writing the music he would have written the breaths and where to take a breath. Once he did this it would not have been a difficult thing for an artist like Dimash. I heard your Japanese composer sing Ikanaide once and he does it once. I’m just writing this for you to know that Dimash took the effort to compose this piece or whomever he collabed with for it to turn out so beautiful. I’m not a musician but a long time ago I saw and heard Bobby Hatfield do it in unchained melody that was used in ghost movie.
