This is one of my favourite reactions to "Dididau", and I've seen them all. You're right - he took us on a journey through Kazakhstan, and then he took us to heaven. How can so much be so perfectly communicated in a language we don't understand? There really aren't words for such a phenomenon.

This song is very special to Dimash. At his concerts, he gets the dears to sing some of the chorus. We have learned some of the Kazakh words, Dimash almost cries because we respond to the song,It is the story of a man imprisoned for speaking against the government, While he is interred, they tell him his wife has left him, which wasn’t true, There is another performance at a concert, where there are 100 dombra players and he also plays on stage with them, and then he goes on to sing this song. The title of it song is the name of the prisoner’s wife.

The instrument he plays is called a Kobyz. The Kobyz or kylkobyz is an ancient Turkic bowed string instrument, spread among Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. The Kyrgyz variant is called the kyl-kyyak. The qobyz has two strings made of horsehair. The resonating cavity is usually covered with goat leather. There is a much more epic performance of this song at his Bastau concert in 2017. Definitely worth watching and he also did a performance of this in his January 2021 live streamed concert. Adai is the instrumental song he played on the Kobyz and Daididau is the name of the song he sang.

Yes. You got most of the message - without understanding a word. The Kazakh Prince! Introducing the rest of the world to his culture and music. This song is much loved and kind of an informal Anthem in Kazakhstan. As you say; Dimash is also the Master of the anticipatory pause. He shows us that music is not just the notes, but all the spaces in between. He takes us through a rollercoaster of sound and emotion; of tension and release. He holds the audience in the palm of his hand teetering on the edge of the cliff; wondering where he's going to take us next. Everyone holds their breath, you could hear a pin drop... and then he expertly brings us back gently down to earth - riding on a wave of pure beauty - with the realisation that we've just experienced something rare and special. This is the magic of Dimash. Not just the beauty of his voice, his phenomenal skill level, nor crazy range, but how he weaves all that together to take us on a journey with him. 😊

He always sing this song in his concert and has taught his Dears how to sing in Kazakh with him. You need to react to Samaltau, Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020. It’s the story of a young man who was taken by the Russian from his village in Kazakhstan to fight in WWI. This young soldier describes his long on foot journey to the post where he was taken to the front lines. The instrument in Daididau is call Dombra. Dimash has an instrumentation playing Dombra in the song River of Love. You will love to react to these two songs. Take care. ❤️🙏🕊

The instrument that Dimash is playing is called a Dombra. It is an instrument native to Kazakhstan and the people on the stage with him are students he invited from the university he attended in Kazakhstan. this song is very dear to Dimash and he said he fulfilled his dream on this show because he wanted to introduce his music and this song to the world. He loves his country dearly and sings Daididau at just about every concert. The guy you pointed out in the blue is Dimashs' music partner for the show. He is also a singer and a music producer from Kazakhstan. Thanks for the Ravens T-shirt. I am from Baltimore.

The dombyra (домбыра) is a lute-style instrument. It is an ancient and quintessential piece of Kazakh culture and identity. In its most popular form, the dombyra has two-strings strung down a long, skinny neck and a pear-shaped body, flat at the front and rounded on the backside. The dombyra is, in fact, so important to Kazakh national identity that there is a popular saying: “Naǵyz qazaq qazaq emes, naǵyz qazaq - dombyra” (Нағыз қазақ қазақ емес, нағыз қазақ - домбыра), which, translated, means “A real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, a real Kazakh is a dombra.” 💙💛🔝🌹🌹❤️🎤👏👏👏

The instrument he plays is called the Dombra and it has two strings. He has an instrumental piece on his channel where he doesn't sing but just plays the Dombra called River of Love. I love how he's brave enough to leave those moments of silence in his songs, to the extent sometimes when the audience think he's finished and start applauding as in Love Is Like A Dream.

I don't know if it's because I'm from NY I'm a bit biased, but my FAVORITE Dimash concert was New York December, 2019 at the Barclays Center. Here Dimash performed Daididau for the very first time in America and it was VERY emotional - a dream come true for Dimash. I'd love for you to experience this. The instrument he plays is called Dombra. A very important instrument in Kasakhstan. The next episode is Daybreak. Please, please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I highly recommend you to watch the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel and then maybe the one from Bastau (or later). This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It's really, really important to know why he sings the way he sings. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. In the video of Dimash FC Deutschland you can see him holding his throat outside and shaking his head in pain right after the performance. But unfortunately you don’t see there the backstory of Daybreak, which is very important. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. And Dears, why not always recommend both versions? I see more and more so-called marathons for one song. I don’t think the idea is that bad. Hi Claudia, Brigitte from California again. I see we are still loyal to our angel Dimash. I have him in my home, my car and not a day is complete withput his songs. I wish his love for his country was contagious, we could use some of that here. He has become an internationsl hero. But it has become quiet, too quiet, I'm hoping it's because he is working on something new.. Tschues

@@bbaranski8181 Hi Brigitte, I feel the same way. I also listen to Dimash every day. This annoys my husband 😁. Funny, they either become dears too, or they're jealous 🤭. I also think he's working on something new. He doesn't stay out of work that long. Some think he's making a movie with Jackie Chan because he released the teakwondo video . Maybe. But I find it awful to just say something like that without really knowing it. What do you think? Did I miss an info 😇? I hope you are well and have a nice day (it's past noon here, near Munich)

Good morning Claudia. My family doen't get ir either. I'm sure they think I've lost my mind in my old age. How do they not get that spiritual power he has. The way he draws us in with his messages is short of godlly. I also have the feeling, there is a movie coming. I watched one of his news channels, when he was in Dubai, They were saying that the Kazakhstan film industry was talking to India. (are we talking Bollywood?) Aiso at the end of the video.... Be with me..... it sais to be continued. It had that James Bond vibe, At the same time, I miss his beautiful ballads and lovesongs and hope that he and Igor bring us another masterpiece. Love and peace to you from California

@@bbaranski8181 A film with Dimash, that would be something. He's become such a great actor. Back then I already said on Okay that I really wanted to see a movie with him. And indeed, James Bond immediately came to mind with Sinful Passion😅. And I agree with you about the connection with Igor Krutoy. There are so many songs I always hear every day but my absolute favorite song that I listen to all the time is Love Of Tired Swans. Do you also have a favorite song, or can't you decide? Love from Germany

That 2-stringed instrument is called DOMBRA. It is a traditional Kasajo instrument and most Kasajos learn to play it as children. kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6emsdWpgKqcpaQ.html Dimash learned from a very young age. Look at the video.
