Not sure if his brother's there. He said I Love You in Chinese and Kazakh. This is such a haunting cover of a classic song. It's a shame he's not allowed to sing it any more, due to complications with Lionel Richie's copyright issues. Of course, Dimash made it his own, and it's absolutely phenomenal! Wonderful. What a beautiful cover. He even makes the covers he sings his own and brings his own elements to the song that you would never expect. He is so awesome. I grew up with Hello by Lionel Richie. I loved this song. But to be honest, I like Dimash’s version much better. Sorry Lionel. The melismas give me goosebumps without end. At the end he says “I love you” in Mandarin and then in Kazakh. This performance took place in 2018 in the same competition where he appeared in 2017. In 2018 he was a guest. The people in the background were singers and the audience (they are the jury-members). The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show in 2017. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. But he didn't win the competition because he was no Chinese. The following year they changed the rules and Jessie J. won it. Unfortunately, Lionel Richie banned Dimash from singing the song again and I dont know if that’s still the case today. The flute is called Sygyzgy and is mainly pTheayed in the Kyrgyz and Kazakh regions. According to Wikepedia it is traditionally played by shepherd horse herders. A wonderful sound. The participants can be seen in the background. The one you mean is the Chinese Rock singer Hua Chenyu. Love from Germany👋❤️

That is not his brother Mansur but instead a very talented chinese Rock vocalist and song writer named Hua Chenyu sitting with the contestants. He came in second place this year but won The Singer in 2019. My favorite song of Hua Chenyu is "Great Deer". Hua is 4 years older than Dimash. Dimash is here only as a guest vocalist with "Hello" in 2018. Those final words were I love you. Great reaction👍 Thank you❤ 🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

After the "I love you" in Mandarin he said "I love you" in Kazakh and then "thank you" in Mandarin.

I never liked this song until Dimash did it. No, that is not Dimash's brother. Dimash was a guest on this year of I Am Singer, 2018, & that fellow was one of the competitors. Dimash competed there in 2017.

That’s Hua Chenyu in the audience. He started out as a very highly rated rapper and now is extremely popular in China doing straight singing. His lyrics have meaning about freedom, beauty, and happiness, and the people love him.

👉 The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-7 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds and was used by storytellers. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music (Kui). There are many legends and traditions associated with sybyzgy. In these legends the instrument is called a "living reed", because this strong, hollow stem, makes amazingly deep sounds. The whole life of Kazakhs is imbued with music, it sounds in ceremonies and rituals, in everyday life and at holidays. Listening to the sounds of dombra, kobyz or sybyzgy, one can understand the history and culture of the Kazakh people. It was easy and fast to make a sybyzgy, but it was very difficult to play it. Sybyzgy kuis (Kui: sung stories) were most two-voice melodies: the first voice came from the instrument and the second voice was the throat singing of the musician-performer.(www)

Oh wow, I’ve never heard of that instrument before it sounds beautiful. I like the idea of using it as a storytelling device. I like it when cultures are known to use instruments as they tell stories to show how powerful music can be in showing the emotion of the, part of the story that they’re at. Like I’ve said before the first time I heard him sing diva dance I fell in love with him and his singing. Then he sang the Power Rangers Theme song for China’s release. There was no turning back. ❤️✨❤️

Great reaction to the best singer/performer on the planet. Another fantastic young singer from the UK you should definitely react to is 20 year old Lucy Thomas. She's just released a brand new video of the classic song "Unchained Melody." Many reactors seem to think she's the best young female singer currently, I'd like to know what you think.

We don’t know that Lionel forbade anything. I heard he LOVED Dimash’s performance. We don’t know what happened because there are no documents, interviews, or videos about it - that I can find, anyway, and I searched for three weeks. Perhaps they had a private verbal agreement.

In other words I'd love you to react to Confessa and diva dance. Thanks for all the reactions you have done to Dimash. Iv just subscribed

I don't know what from the singer show you have seen, so I don't know if you have heard him sing other songs from the show but two of my favourites that he sings one straight after the other are " Dever dance and Confessa." Please have the subtitles on as usual because the song "Confessa" which he sings first has VERY POWERFUL words, which I think you will appreciate. Considering he was only 21 yrs old, and I mean NO disrespect at all, before going to China to sings in the singer competition this was the first time he had been out of Kazakhstan without his family and I think it's fair to say with regards to the rest of the world (outside of Kazakhstan the world )is a Very different place and the families live differently. Dimash family is Very close and usually do things together. So Considering all of that I think the way he sings Confessa is amazingly mature for a man who is quite immature with regards to romantic relationships

Diva dance is the reason that I actually got back into modern music and saw Dimash for the first time. I remember watching the fifth elements the film as a child’s when I was really really sick and that song came on in the movie and I loved it. Then later in my life, I find out that the composers of that song created it to be physically impossible for a human to perform without some sort of sound effects to adjust for the drastic change in pitch and range. And since then I’ve seen maybe one or two people actually perform it until I saw Dimash perform for the first time and he nailed it and it just got me right into his music. I did do a reaction to diva dance and another song. It’s on my Dimash I’ll have to go back and see if it’s Confessa but it was amazing. Go check it out if you want to see that reaction. @Thetazord In Dimash's song "Ömır" LIVE, you can see Mansur nowadays (17) playing the guitar while Dimash plays the piano. "Ömır" was written, music and lyrics, by Dimash himself to celebrate our seven years together as his Dears.
