Ah I thought I had commented on this one already. It's a repost. If you want to see another "movie" MV, go check out "Golden" MV. Great storyline and action sequences. Great MV and the song has absolutely fantastic lyrics. No huge vocal acrobatics but it's a song everyone can sing which was the point along with a deep message. Another "just like a movie" video. All his MVs are great and well worth watching along with great songs. Akkyum, Love of Tired Swans, Know are beautiful, great cinematography, with top notch directors. Qairan Elim was co-directed by Dimash himself during quarantine and is an original song written as a prayer for his people. Beautiful first time directorial debut and gorgeous, sad and heartfelt song. And he can't cook. (LOL)

I read that Dimash quit Taekwondo because he didn't want to get hit in the throat and end his singing which everyone who loves him understands. He would not be the world's best singer. He has not penetrated the US market yet. I'd love to see him become a star here. He needs to speak English better. He's so quick and witty in his native language or Russian. It's too bad the US audience has not had a chance to see that.

He has a red belt with stripes in Tai Kwan Do but quit competition in his late teens because he started to feel it in his gut. I have seen an old vid of him on the street, running and leaping into a side kick with an extension a foot above his head and he's 6'3". Pretty awesome.

He quit because he had to make a decision for himself between music and sports. He found he didn't have time for both. His decision was to pursue music. He did start having health issues too, but his choice was for the music. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nq55kqWEibTcdJM.html

@@maryE05 I lived in Kazakhstan half of my life. I don't think there was any question about that. At 5 years old, he was the youngest student in its history to be accepted in the country's most distinguished music academy, his Father was Eurasia's foremost music producer and a vocalist and his Mother a famous opera singer. The entire family is famous and I doubt martial arts was an acceptable career choice for its scion. He is about to receive his Doctorate in Music, a PhD in Musicology, a major in composition, and until now, all of his performances have been carefully scheduled around his studies. @@maryE05 Mary, I'm the one that lived there, went to school with family and friends, knew them. Vast in area, like a small town. A publicity machine, a good one, controls every minute detail you read or see and a long term strategic plan has crafted his career path with foresight and intelligence. Norhing is spontaneous. He is protected as are all family and friends from intrusion on their privacy and while Kanat runs day to day operations at Dimashali, Dimash is sole head.

I love Hua Hua;). His talent is almost equal to Dimash. I was watching Hua and someone suggested I watch Dimash. Well, Dimash won my heart and soul. Now I watch Dimash 95% and Hua Chenyu 5%. No one else for me.

I live in the UK and I just don't get why he isn't huge here! Dimash’s desire to partake in all genres and bring his talent to the western world inspired him to do this. He helped fund this video and in an interview he was so unbelievably humble as always. He also has a red belt in martial arts.
