You are yet to mature. You just listen something and conclude. . Since 42 years I have been listening hindi film songs songs from 1930 to 2022. . I jave been listening other languages also, from Afghani, Pashthuni, Pakistani Urdu, Bangladesh bongoli, Sri Lankan Sinhala to Tamil, kannada, telugu, mallu, marathi, Punjab, sindhi, marwari, gujju, bhaiyya songs, Bihaadi, odiya, nepali, assami, Naga, Tripuda, Orunonchol prodesho, Chinese, Japanese, manchruian etc. . There have been Many MD who have surpassed MM. MMis a very good MD. But definitely not numero Uno. . So you can rephrase that word"MOST". It definitely is not "MUST" in your sentence. 😉😉😉

Mausam was a gem Movie. No other movie has hit me that hard in my entire life. I have seen uncountable times and by the middle of the movie, I start to weep and it gets seriously uncontrollable. 🤧🤧🤧 . I don't know how to express my words that I love HARIBHAI ZARIWAALA's acting so much. . He alone carried the deepest emotional part though I must admit Sharmila Tagore acted well.😓😓😓

Lata Mangeshkar used Anu Malik tune from 1994 AA GALE LAGJA movie song "Aaj humein maloom hua" And got it tuned with ANAND Bakshi lyrics as "Do pal ka khwaabon ka caravan".😊😊😊

Yet when he was alive, his talent and his genius were acknowledged and appreciated by so few. I remember reading a story shared by his son, about how his friends at boarding school got to know about his father, Madan Mohan, only when it transpired in the papers that the superstar Rajesh Khanna was one among the several pallbearers who brought his remains to the cremation grounds. Which is kind of sad, in a way. Also, filmi lore has it that Raj Kapoor wanted Madan Mohan to compose the songs for a film on inner versus outer beauty very much like his directorial debut, Aag - which would later become Satyam Shivam Sundaram - but ended up with Laxmikant Pyarelal, owing to Madan Mohan's untimely passing. I often wonder how would films like Sangam and Mera Naam Joker have turned out if Raj Kapoor had given Madan Mohan a chance to compose the songs for his home productions rather than stick exclusively with Shankar-Jaikishen during the early and middle phases of his career as filmmaker...

At 3:02 when Gulzar saab explaining the origin of the song someone says 'wah'. Could it be R. D. Burman? Just after that Ashaji hums the word 'fursat' the voice comes back briefly at 3:22 trying to say something about 'Madanji' but interrupted by Gulzar. So I presume it might be Pancham because these three were great friends. Would be great to have the full conversation.

Yes..mate indeed Pancham, Asha Tai & Gulzar Sahab..they did quite a few programmes on radio together those days..amazing trio..this particular vdo is an edit of mutiple tracks on this song.. In fact, the source is mentioned in upload - Album - Legends ((Madan Mohan) by "SA RE GA MA" - Volume 5 - thanks for the amazing upload..cheers..

I heard that Madan Mohan had passed away shortly after composing the music for Mausam. Gulzar saab then requested RD Burman to record the songs, to which he happily agreed. So while the composition is by Madan Mohan, the song does sound a bit like one of RD's, thanks to his orchestration and his style of recording.
