I think some people are missing the point. This isn't meant to be a full-on writing tool. It partly does that, but it's meant to just inspire people by giving you a glimpse of what your guitar idea might sound like in a full band scenario, and in a set song arrangement. The way I would use this would be to lay down an arrangement, then if it sounds like it has potential I would go away and work on proper drum and bass parts and tweak the arrangement. Writing a song is an evolution - this gadget just provides you with the first few steps. To expect it to be much more is just stupid, especially since you're only talking about a £200 pedal. Personally when I've got a guitar idea, I can't be bothered to program drum and bass parts, because that will then just clog my brain with drum ideas and bass ideas. This pedal can give someone like me a quick way to get my idea down in a full band scenario, and even tweak the style which might even get me to rethink my original idea. In my opinion, this pedal is just the first (or second) in what will be a big influx of "instand band pedals", much like how loopers suddenly got big. Unless Digitech have copyrighted this technology, other companies will be coming out with their own models at some point, and each one will improve, and will probably be more expensive. This pedal is £200, and you're getting a drum machine, a looper, a sequencer, and an instant backing track creator that learns what you play immediately. So if anyone complains that this pedal is overpriced, or doesn't do enough then I'm sorry - but you're a diva lol.

For fucks sake. This is clearly meant as a way gig solo. That's what bloopers do, so stop these shit reviews. Who the fuck is ever gonna use it for jazz. Jazz players love the interaction with other players. Demo it as a writing tool or a covers solo act. How does it cue the player to start, how does the player know which song is up. The fact it can store infinite songs on s.d cards is clue to it's use. Instead all we get are these shit review s showing how many chords you know. Fucking idiots. Over 20 reviews and all I know is it can put bass on a diminished chord. Big fucking deal.

You got more thumbs up on that wall of text than I've ever seen on KZread. Subbed.
I've watched your videos for a long time now, I love how you just roll with the punches, and have fun with everything. I think your personality helps with the videos, and I'll bet you're a riot to hang out with. I love the mistakes you made in this vid, while playing, JUST LIKE WE ALL DO, and you didn't edit it out, you let us all see, that we all mess up. Your humor about it and the faces you made, crack me up. Keep up the good work, and just be yourself and have fun, it shows the rest of us, that we don't always have to be so damn serious about everything.
Awesome vid. I hate google and actually signed up with an account just to tell you thanks and to subscribe to your channel. Had a friends trio to try out and found this. Got diagnosed with a terminal illness and so don't have time to look for people to jam with or deal with all the shedules and hassles of that, so this is perfect for me to enjoy my music while I can, and your vid was excellent. I'll watch it a few more times in the week or so my unit takes to get here so I'll be on top of it out of the box. Thanks so much! Youre sense of humor, mistakes, (we need those to happen cause they happen to us), and the layout of your multiple cams make this by far the best instructional video I've seen yet. Tshuss!

I also like the fact on how thorough you are, you really have dug into this pedal, we all really appreciate the work and study you have done with this Trio + pedal. Bravo buddy!!
This was a fantastic demo. And funny with it. Great editing. I watched the whole 1 hour 11min. Your demo style is unique. You've obviously put a lot of time in particular to demoing this. Well impressed.
one of the best how to "actually use this" videos I've recently seen...
By far the best video for the Trio Plus I have seen. Thank you for the great vid, and geez oh pete, thanks for making me laugh while I watched it.
You have definitely opened my eyes to basically the full operational qualities of the Trio+. I have had one for almost a year and hadn't even scratched the surface of it's capabilities. Thank you so much for your videos and knowledge.
Love this tutorial, had the trio+ for a while now, not sure how to use it, but having watched this video all becomes clear.Love your human mistakes, i have even got my brother watching you channel. Keep up the informative reviews and also keep up the humor that goes with the videos. Bought my 1st Harley Benton SC-450Plus LD Vintage Series guitar because i watched your videos. Keep up the great work.
Hands down, the best and most informative demo of what this Trio Plus does. Thanks, now I'm gonna go jam.
This guys videos are always great. They show you how things work. Not at all boring.
Thank you so much for this review/tutorial. I have just got the trio + and this is by far the most fun and informative video. I'm now a subscriber and have the joy of years of videos to go through to build the perfect pedal board and write songs 🤟
Hey, a big thanks for the truly in depth Trio Plus demo! I have just got mine after a wait of about two months. Just started laying down some songs on it so your tips and tricks have been invaluable. I also like the humour you bring to your videos! Some reviewers are far too serious and up themselves. Thanks again. I'm off to fire up my Trio plus now and drink some cold coffee!
Just got this for Christmas... appreciate your demo man it was very helpful. Pretty cool pedal
Great video love the humor and the faces when you f-ed up a note.. I am convinced I need one of these.
I got one of these just last week. This video really has helped me unlock the possibilities. Thank you!
It's 8 years old now, and still the best demo of this amazing device!
Saw this video and literally rushed out and bought one from the local GC. I haven't been so inspired in years. Playin' like there's no tomorrow. What a great toy. Love the Latin rhythms. I wish there was a reggae mode. Latin gets close. Thanx for taking the time to explain the details. I was up and running in minutes. My setup uses a PODxT Live floorboard into a Behringer mixer. I simply inserted the Trio+ into my guitar input and assigned the mixer output to an open mixer channel. Done.

yup, I'm convinced! I not only want one, but need one of these to fill my pedal board. thanks for the fun and informative tutorial.
I had already decided on this as my next pedal. This excellent review simply solidified my decision. Thanks!!
You're kind of scattered in a funny sort of way! Great video and super informative. Really really helpful for thudheaded Gearheads like myself that struggle with tutorials and manuals and the like. After watching your demo video I went ahead and picked one of these up and I absolutely love it. Your video is much better than any of the information that came with the unit! Good job dude
I have the pedal and have watched a ton of vids on it. You are hands down the best reviewer of this product.
Such a great review. I just picked one up and I'm loving it. This video helped me understand the real potential of the Trio+!!! Thank you! Wish you were my teacher.
Just purchased a Trio+ online from Amazon minutes before watching your in depth demo, I took ages to choose which drum machine to go but after watching demo I am over the moon with my decision, by the way, I have also just bought a Les Paul Tribute and a Blackstar 10 watt amp as it is 35 years since I last picked a guitar up an cant wait for my Trio+ to arrive now, thank you for such an in depth review and also your sense of humour, I will be looking out for more of your posts on KZread.
Love the wisdom, Best explanation of functions, uses, creative ideas, I never turned your tutorial off, Thank you, will buy one.
This is a great overview and review of the Digitech Trio Plus. I just ordered one and look forward to it. Thanks for the excellent videos.
love your sense of humor while covering the tech stuff, great job!
I have no problem giving you positive cudos. I've been enjoying your KZread videos for years now. They are always informative and often entertaining. Being from Texas and living in South Carolina gives me a different slant on your humor. Thanks for the smiles.
Speechless! Great educ-entertaining video. I got a TRIO+ couple months ago and still discovering its fun and creative functionalities. Still don't know how it will react via my MAudio sound card, can't wait to try now! Thanks for all the hints you provided in this video. Great humour, keep doing what you do!
Danke for creating a comprehensive video that delves into the basic applications and set-ups for use, as well as explaining the options and reasons for the signal chain. Far more practical and useful than a uninspired pamphlet with typical engineering writing that only confuses the user. Love your music cave and your most personable presentation. Now following your submissions for future reference. Can not wait to get my hands on this puppy. Keep rocking', bro!
I just got one! Fumbled around not understanding what was happening. Just watched your whole video....think your crazy honest presentation style is mesmerising....and you’ve told me everything I need to know! I’ve plugged Bass & Lead guitars and a Microphone through a mixer into the input, so I can layer vocal harmonies as well. Going to have fun with this toy. Thanks for a great, in depth tutorial.
Dude! This is the best tutorial i have ever seen by far!. Thanks for taking the time.

Great video. Thanks for taking the time to actually go through most everything. The begining with the setup is beyond me and you may to have that as a separate video in the future.
Truly inspired review of this product. I purchased it based on this review! Can't wait to get it and start experimenting and playing... it's FUN and that's the main reason I like it! Anything to practice more and not do boring stuff! Thanks Henning!
Giving my thumbs up before watching the whole video. I just bought it today and I am learning from you ! Thanks a lot buddy. Love your demos ! Greetings from Brazil
As always, great video. You do such a good job of going in-depth for all products, especially those that require it or have lots of features. The Digitech Trio+ looks like a much improved devices and very tempting to try. Might I also add, your playing is awesome. You can always make something sound so professional and thought out. Great job!
I've had this for well over a year, great tutorial ! I was giving up on this ,but i"m going to give this another try.
Thanks so much for this video! Just got one of them today, and I was boggling over why my Line 6 was distorting the Drum and Bass. Your video has made this device much more fun and easy to use!!
Really excellent tutorial of the Trio Plus. Your videos are really done well. Very informative and entertaining.
I haven't been back here in a while - I forgot how much fun your channel is. I bet you have sold a bunch of these units for them with this video. Excellent demo. I'll probably be buying one now.
Massive thank you from me in UK. Very honest appraisal and good to you work through mistakes etc as this is what we would all do. great stuff. Keep it up Matey!!
Simply perfect information to get me through the door using my Trio, thank you very much Sir!
A really great presentation - thanks! I like your quirky nature - lots of fun watching.
Just awesome. A very thoughtful review, which has saved me months of trial and error. Thank you.
Your tutorial was GREAT! I laughed out loud a dozen times. This is 2020 and I've just discovered the TRIO+ and have ordered mine used from Ireland!! You've very much heightened my anticipation of its arrival! Singer's (that you didn't mention a mic in the guitar input for the loop function ha ha)...who can play a few chords on a guitar, or on the keyboard (1/2 inch in from mono), can have a ball with this!! Thank you for pointing out the different setups in front and behind, to an amp, or mixer and so many of the permutations. AND the portable POWER SOURCE!!THANK YOU!!!

I can already see the future revisions of this pedal having a "Random" button. How would that work? With the single press of a button (which is important for musicians, most of the time I myself prefer playing my acoustic because I don't need to care with wires, power sources etc... by the time I powered everything up, the drive to play is halfway gone already...) with the press of a button it would start playing a Random drum beat, picking automatically out of ALL the options the pedal offers (and not just the one that is currently selected) I believe that would be a major improvement, since you would not need that initial Learning steps for the pedal to start working. It's amazing how a simple drum beat can fire up the brain and help with composition and creativity. This is amazing.
Fantastic review my man. Really useful input re set up . I bought one immediately after seeing this . Set up is Trio + with Effects Loop running through a Pod 2.0 into a Marshall MSG Mini-Stack . Drums & Bass go directly into an AER 40 Acoustic Amp and lead "noodling " comes out of my Fender Blues Deluxe. Amazing ! Other Pedal Manufacturers will be sweating buckets . By the way , I've been playing for 40 years. Never seen anything like it.
Good info, love how you went through it pretty much experimenting with every aspect of the Trio+. Being able to sit through the hour plus of this video is a testament to your ability to engage and teach me something. Only thing Bro, please, less caffeine for future videos. Good stuff!!
Awesome tutorial, he makes what could be a long tiring video very very entertaining & I didn’t feel like fast forwarding once, fabulous 👍
I enjoyed the playing on the Jazz setting and the video was entertaining as always. Keep up the good work.
Just plugged in my new Trio+... kinda lost... went looking and found.... YOU! WOW! great vid. Watching it several times to "understand". THANK YOU! Best one I found.. helpful, instructional, fun, funny (really.. THANK YOU for leaving in errors.. we all make 'em). REALLY helped my understanding of this fantastic pedal. SO glad I got it. Now I just need to use it all the time to get to be a better player! (you are a great player, btw.. hoping maybe your other vids can help me there too!)
Great review and answered a whole lot of my questions and explored many hook-ups I hadn't even thought about yet. Thanks, Dieze !!l

LONG DEMO WORTH IT TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH This is the best demo explanation easy to understand how to video. A real demo without a bunch of over the top studio professional demo artists with fancy crap you will never duplicate in your little room the wife lets you have your guitars and gear. :) Thank you for a real helpful demo.
Seriously insane review / tutorial. Great job ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
Thanks for all the info Henning. Much appreciated. Plus, you're a riot. Keep up the good work.

Love the latin and jazz style progression that you've played ! Great review, got to go to the shop try it by myself!
Thanks friend , I started out in a frenzy of confusion then you shone your light of order and organization. Much obliged.
Absolutely fantastic demo/tutorial, thank you good sir
Thank you... Thank you... Thank you for such an in-depth review! I think I’m sold on this!
Awesome video. Thank you. I have ordered one already, now to figure out how to tell the wife! Your video is making me feel so much better about the purchase. Can't wait until it get here.
VERY impressed you spent over an hour on this (obviously took more after editing). As others have commented this is one of the best 'how to use' Thanks for your time. Great review channel as always your humour adds to it . For anybody who'd prefer you speak slower .... ask them to listen quicker.
I finally start to build the pedalboard I always wanted but couldn't afford. This just to improve my playing is the first pedal I'm about to order. Thank you for this great review, you got a new subscriber!
Great video. I've been toiling over what looper to buy for the last year or more and stumbled across your video here. First of all... You're a madman, nearly as crazy as me. Lol! Great Craic! Secondly, you did a great job of explaining and showing the functionality of this device. I'm not sure I absorbed the entire sequencing part, but I think once I get one, I'll work that detail out on my own. I was impressed with the quality of the "band, bass and drums" feature, and it's general intelligence. You did a terrific job of showing it's capabilities and limitations. I think I might have found the right for for my needs thanks to you. Cheers! Dave
Thanks man. Mine is on the way and I can't wait for it to get here. Pretty cool
This is fantastic, thank you, you inspired me to buy one and I've never had so much fun with a pedal, this has enabled me to become very creative in a way I never thought I could, Also your a funny guy 😁👍
Great review and instruction vid - I agree its an awesome product. It takes a bit of time to learn what it wants to hear when you teach it. I love it when you record in one genre then twist it to another and it sound surprisingly better. My latest one was metal to E-pop!!
Awesome time learning the trio. Many thanks.
An older video but Eytsch you totally nail this. And plenty of good natured nerdball humor to make the entire thing enjoyable and fun. Thanks for plenty of loop tracks that immediately got dumped! Because that's what happens when you really start recording stuff!
Best demo on KZread. Well done.
Amazing review with good detailed explanations.
This is very cool step forward. The Actual Band in a Box program can use real instruments that sound really good. I typically arrange in Midi (quicker processing) then change the instruments over to real instruments. I do have the original Trio for sitting around & playing with ideas. Great times we live in. Great review & makes me want this model as well.
Super video, very informative and entertaining. Getting one and this is a good summary with enough detail to get a full appreciation for what this can do and how to do it. Thanks EytschPi42!
Your review was amazing, I just picked up my trio.
I was on the fence about this, you just sold it for me. Thanks!
Thanks for the great review. Wow. Ordering one tonight as it perfect for prodding my practice times up to a few hours.
Okay. I'm going to the store on saturday to try out this little magic box, and probably get myself one. Danke, really, for this sehr gut review!
This was the best demo everrrrrrrrr!!!!! great work!!!!! Thank!!!!!!
I am in the market for a looper. I have checked many of them. Your video convinced me this is the one. Thank you!!! Greetings from Monterrey, Mexico
REALLY great demo and tutorial. I already decided on one of these asap, and have watched every demo on youtube, but yours is the only one that really went all the way and that helps a lot, thanks.
Awesome review, absolutely packed with info. Cheers
Dude, you do such a good job! I love the German quirckiness, awesome bro! I will subscribe!
Henning: Always been a fan but this review/lesson is really superb. The crisp short HowTos made by others are a bit frustrating when I'm trying to use the pedal to do more than the basics. Your fiddling around - and I mean that in a good way - is really encouraging, and I learnt more from it than from my own noodling. What I like about the Trio+ is that you don;t have to be anally perfect with the ON-OFF to get it to sync. Thanks mate!
you did an amazing job. I absolutely love this product. 👍
I know it is late, but you are the best manual I've seen so far for that gadget. Just one remark, the FS3X is not a waste, it gives you THREE x 3 different options how to handle the Trio+ remotely.
Absolutely great learning tool for guitarists to use at home.
Excellent video. Great, funny and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the full review.
Going to buy one today! Great presentation
Can’t believe I watched the whole thing. Thanks !!!
love the vid, AND the humor. well done!!
Thank you for a very nice demo!
A lot of pedals that you show are about the same price. But, IMO, this is the best value and is perfect for anyone who isn't in a band. Thanks for the great in-depth demo.
You have been of enormous help to me already with the Trio Plus that I purchased recently. Thank you so very much. Now if only I could play lead guitar as well as you do for solo overdubbing! I hope to eventually be able to use this in my solo shows but I understand that the Librarian Manager software for computer isn't even available for download yet since this Plus model is so new. Please keep these coming. "Autumn Leaves" knocked me right out. I'm nearly 69 years old now, my friend, and am finally learning things about my guitar that I hadn't discovered on my own during the past 55 years or so that I've been playing professionally as a solo and in bands. Hope more videos from you will continue to speed up my learning curve. I owe you an adult beverage or two for sure, my friend. Thanks again so much.

Hello Henning..great demo as usual..wow very extensive! Cheers!
I've just bought a TRIO Plus. This has to be the most useful and entertaining video of this type I've yet seen. Most guys can only hold my attention for about 5 minutes before I think - BORING - and turn to something else. But I watched all of this, learned a lot (including that I'm a pretty limited guitarist!), and must try some more of your stuff. BTW - you are crazy, but in a really cool way....
