hi brother...did you use a saw to remove the original lens. can i use the lens of a cdrom drive? thanks.

Yes you can use lense of CD rom drive but it’s focal length is to close but it may work. To remove the original lens you have to see it is glued or in thread , if threaded no issue it can be opened but if glued you have to open slowly with thin plastic pen refill and small hammer

@@SDinnovation the issue is going to be the working distance. i was planning of using it for smd electronics work. i already have both cd and dvd lenses. my concern is the working distance. thanks for the reply.
