I always thought if you could go through the difficult problems first, the simpler ones would be way easier. I am glad this video helped.

I have searched for a example like this. Your channel is the only one who done it. Tqs a lot.

This actually helped a lot, my teacher tends to go fast wit her lessons, and this slower pace made understanding this a bit easier.

Oh god I was working on your first method for like 20 minutes continuously messing up. I'm glad I kept watching the video to learn the second method.

I didn’t understand a bit before but then watches your video and my concepts are clear now

Beautiful explanation. I have a simplifying idea for the last method. Since 1111*1111 can be written as the sum of the 1111s by shifting n-1 for each n digits, we could first sum the first two 1111s which you've found 101101, and then by considering the other two 1111s (1111+11110) sums again to 101101 and shift 2 digits to the right and add them. Just one step less. It may be beneficial. Thanks

thank you. this is clear and understandable, and answered my question entirely. thank you. my philosophical question is: What if you didn't know base ten (decimal)? what if you only knew binary. You wouldn't know that 1+1+1+1 = "four" in decimal. Would you? So there must be an alternate way to explain this. Not that I need or want it. Just forcing people to have the same headache that I have every time my brain enters a rabbit hole.

You don't need a decimal intermediate. Fundamentally, you're just carrying a binary sum to its respective order of magnitude and completing the operation there
