    Hi you need to make a long probe rod back in the day when I was bottle digging it save a lot of time because some tips were double capt I found several tips that were so called dug out

    Yeh we found double capping in this tip, but it's not usually so deep on the bit were digging. Maybe a foot ,I dug two feet and still clay. But yeh your right a probe rod would be a good useful tool just need to find a decent welder to make me one haha

    Yeh it was a stream with small tributaries running off. They filled the stream first and then the banks.
