AMAZING recovery Eric! Epic challenge with the hill, the sand, the extreme steering failure and the drop off. That's experienced rigging to use the boom line to keep the entire rig from going over the edge. Your efforts get an A+ for the day!

In 79 my first was born. Time had come to pare back on toys. I kept the choppers and the hot rod and let the stump jumper go. A couple of bike wrecks later I thought maybe I should have quit riding instead. But I didn't. Now all these years later I watch what you put yourself through. I'm better off skun up for chrome.

It never ceases to amaze me how many 4x4 owners don't know how to change gears in the xfer case or know how it works. (some are full time, some don't have what's called a "true neutral", etc.) Just had a conversation with a guy on youtube who didn't know how flat towing works. He didn't seem to know you could have a transmission in Park and an Xfer case in Neutral at the same time. (We, on some new trucks you can't).

Axle straps and chain binders Almost all your videos I watch I think why have you not gotten a few to tie up the suspensions on the rigs when in tow Trust me I have been doing recover of off road rigs for a few decades and you will love the easy ability to tow with the suspension tied up Even in this case to hold the flopped out wheel up higher to the frame

I have seen winches that had their own power, like a chainsaw motor that you can take out and find a deadman and winch from there, like pulling orange back up hill. use a strap like a tree protector through the tire rather than around the tire

Dude! This kind of crap is happening to you WAY to often you need to start doing a P.M. on that truck , That's way to good of a truck and YOUR way to good of a mechanic to be letting it go like that, Ya'know this ain't the first time we've had a failure out on the trails,. Now get off the couch turn off the TV. And get under the wrecker with the grease gun and flash light and do it. Working on the truck out in the woods sucks, it's not that bad in the garage so go do it. Love y'all, love the show, one day soon I'm going to take the Hummer up and do some riding with y'all be safe 😁
