I was born in 1977 and was not able to digest ANYTHING, they told my mother that I had an underdeveloped digestive system. They tried everything, even tried Karo syrup mixed with water, they finally had to feed me with an IV in my head for weeks. I was full term but was born at only 4lbs 3ozs and dropped to 3lbs 5oz. They told my mother that I was so sick that she needed to prepare herself to lose me. When I finally left the hospital I was 5lbs and able to somewhat hold down predigested goats milk protein and then a little later Nutramigen. I grew up always having diarrhea, fatigue, stomach pain a few times a week, and I sleep at least 10 hours a day. My stools are mostly bright yellow and watery. I have had undiagnosed gastric problems my whole life, now I am being told that I have ulcerative colitis, but nothing is making me feel any better, it is only getting worse. Is there something super rare that the doctors might be missing? I have also had growth hormone deficiency my whole life and my family has a lot of immune disorders, like vitiligo and my sister has crohn's disease and one of my brothers has celiac disease, all of which I tested negative for. Any ideas that I can take to my doctor?

Hello Doc, I gave birth to baby boy on Sep 16th 33+5( 1.76kg) maternal choriomniotsis, passed meconium in 24hrs. He is admitted in NICU from Day 1 for feed intolerance and bilious vomiting. They kept him on npo and gave antibiotics slowly he was brought to full feed, applied medicine to pass stool as he did not pass it in last 4days. Again bilious vomiting has started on Day 12, he is on npo without any antibiotics. CRP and other vitals are normal. Upper GI & Lower GI contrast study are also normal. Baby is on self breathing(1.85kg), pediatric surgeon did not find any obstruction, volvulus or hirschsprung disease and advised conservative management. Doctors are not able to diagnose the underlying issue for bilious vomit. Could you please advise.

That’s not normal. Need to investigate that. I would suggest something called a contrast study.

My new born child has got surgery of hole in intestine and surgery was successful but stomach is in large size than usual is it again serious issue or normal..it's been one month completed surgery 17 days baby was in NICU but while discharging doctors said nothing will happen.

You need to consult your doctor there but possible causes for a Baby Vomiting Green Bile could be: Intestinal Blockage The baby can't pass food or fluids through the gut. Immediate medical treatment is a must. Infection Could be a stomach bug or something more severe. Medical evaluation is needed for proper treatment. Severe Jaundice Yellowing of skin and eyes. May lead to green bile in vomit. Medication Side Effects Sometimes medicine can be the culprit. Discuss with your doctor to explore this angle. Feeding Issues Could be formula intolerance or a feeding problem. A change in diet may be necessary. Bottom line, consult a healthcare provider right away if a baby is vomiting green bile. Hi Arnel. Green/ yellow vomit is unusual. Ideally it’s best to check there is no blockage of the intestine downstream. A contrast study is advisable to look for a condition called malrotation of the intestine to make sure there is no risk of twisting of the intestine(volvulus) Do take your child to a hospital to evaluate this. No blockage of intestine downstream.. they do xray with barium..my son is 5 years old doc...he often vomiting...after we went to hospital after couple of days he vomit again..we always watch the food he eat.. is milk cause vomiting.they said acid

My baby got delivered normal all other reports were normal than how why she got this issue no one in my family has this hirshprung disease than how my baby got this issue in the entire 9 month of my pregnancy my all reports were normal i am 29 year's old this was my first baby whome i lost in my entire life never heard of this disease where nerves is not developed in intestine what can be the cause sir
