Differential Equations: Lecture 7.1 Definition of the Laplace Transform
This is a real classroom lecture on Differential Equations. I covered section 7.1 which is on the Definition of the Laplace Transform. I hope this video is helpful to someone. These lectures follow the book A First Course in Differential Equations by Dennis Zill. This is a great book for learning differential equations. Here is the book amzn.to/4ajOMyW (affiliate link).

Ahhh. So this is what happens when you max out both Charisma and Intelligence. Thanks for such amazing lectures!!
Ngl i skipped 90%of my diff eq class when i had it and only watched your videos... i passed with a 95% so thank you. Now I'm back reviewing for one of my engineering classes and everything came back immediately so thanks again!
I love the idea of cursive s! My “s” and “5’s” were driving me crazy! Thank you for sharing your lectures with us, they are so much fun!

@@TheMathSorcerer Yes! Before I saw your videos, I was having such a hard time confusing my ”5’s” with ”s” and vise verse, I tried using another variable for s, but it just made everything so complicated. When I saw you introduce the cursive ”s,” I was like, 🤯🤯 ”that’s genius! Duh!”... Long story short, thank you and if student’s give you a hard time maybe just let them know that it saves tons of headaches from later on mistaking a 5 and and a in future problems or possibly on a test.

Very helpful and informative lecture! i was having a difficult time understanding Laplace transforms till I saw this vid.
1:02:34 Asides like these are why your lectures are enjoyable. You create a casual environment to learn new material, as opposed to the banal nature of most lectures.

You are still a survivor. Here in Ireland, all schools and colleges have closed on account of coronavirus. When you begin to feel a little funny inside, something like a tick, that is precisely the time when you SHOULD start buying vitamin C and D and please take them in advance.

Signal Processing is used in Audio Engineering.
i've heard it connected to the power series, converting the x^t with e^ln(x^t) where -s=ln(x). is that a correct interpretation?
Hello!!Can you please upload lectures on Fourier series and Fourier transform?
Note 18:00, i'm bookmarking this to review later

Hey, thanks for the videos went from getting a C on the first test to an 88 on the next test. Are you gonna bring back the moving camera? I found that it was easier to stare at the video when there was more movement. Either way much love!

Yes. You cannot get through EE without learning Laplace.
I'm not even taking dif eq anymore. I just miss the in-person energy or a real lecture instead of zoom.
Math sourcer if I join and show support can i occasionally email you about math stuff? Im not a student but I still want to learn. I think your videos are great
man that guy is cool
Whenever you say f(x) has to be piece wise continuous isn't that implied by the integral sign since a integral has to have a finite number of discontinuities and is therefore a piece wise continuous function? Oh rafel is so cool, and he did a beta the nice way lol. This is used in survival analysis, since its an analysis that is based around time to event data. Now ill actually understand what i was reading hopefully :P Last edit lol, kernels are used in data science a lot to represent the transformation (just like this is as well) from one dimention of data to another. IE with SVM you can transform the data into higher dimentions with the kernel! haha funny.
I wish I'd found your channel before
