I watch this video primarily to find out more about fabric weaving, so that I can express upon the governments of the Caribbean (Jamaica), to introduce it as a means of employment where there is high unemployment and little or no credentials. I think there is a market for this skill as well as the accompanying product. With some training and investments in the machinery require, a number of people in the Caribbean maybe able to get a job to improve a their dire situation.

Yes you are right, country like Bangladesh Vietnam are soloed there underemployment problem through Textile Sector.

It’s all in the the cotton/ yarn/ warping/ slashing… you can have the most advanced/ fastest looms in the world. If the warp beam is bad, the yarn is bad along with a host of other things from humidity to human capital is lacking you’ll have low effficiency AND poor quality…. People think running a textile operation is easy. It’s not. It’s that it’s been perfected over the last 200 years. It’s not easy…. First two industries in the world… prostitution and textiles!

Does the Hercules rapier loom (the geotube manufacturing one) needs a warping machine or how does it function?

I grew up reading pick clocks and running production reports on a 5 story vertically integrated textile plant/ “cotton mill” running 52” wide/ 126 PPM (picks per minute) Draper shuttle looms…Now THATS old school!

Any idea about Terry loom price ??

I've seen ones' like it on Alibaba for 2000-6000 usd... the more you buy the cheaper they get.

It's not so much that as the constant noise. I worked around looms like this for 10+ years - ear protection is essential.
