I don't know your jurisdiction but in some places if an emergency vehicle is flashing the reds & blues & has an accident they'll be held at fault if they didn't have the siren on because they didn't give "full warning" even if it's 3am in a quiet empty well lit street & they were hit while driving under the speed limit etc.

Protocol. Switch tones a specified distance from the intersection, and then usually again as you enter the intersection. Generally progression is wail-yelp-hyper yelp/horn combo. I also alternate between wail and yelp when approaching cross streets and spam the horn if there is traffic.
I work right outside a busy intersection that a lot of emergency personnel go through daily. I love to hear the different siren patterns as the trucks navigate the intersection. My favorite is the “Gentle Siren” as they try to coax someone, who has stopped in the middle of the intersection in a panic, to move through the intersection so the truck can get passed.
Gotta love a fireman with a brilliant sense of humour 😍❤️

You will never know how many times I was thankful to have a good, calm dispatcher
The late call is something I can imagine a lot of y'all doing CONSTANTLY 😂
I think I hear that gentle bwoop bwoop bwoop nudge the most. But that last panicky sounding siren definitely makes people pull tf over.
an EMT i worked with got fired for telling a car to move out of the way on the loudspeaker 😂
I can tell you from first hand experience this is extremely accurate.
LMFAO THE DJ ONE 😂😂😂 if i ever hear that, I'll know someone is survivin
the DJ Siren is cool😮😊😎
Used them all. I'd add a little rude horn too.
This is hilarious. Best part is the "LATE CALL" hahaha
I deliver mail in a very small town and my favorite custom siren is "Hi, mail lady. Are you drinking enough water today?" LOL
I'm not any emergency service worker, but I felt that 'get out of the way' in a deep part of my soul
Lmfao I'm totally the 6th call after midnight

I was going to give you 118 likes but 117 is perfect
Gentle touch is my Sarcasm siren. I love congratulating people who FINALLY move with it.

Does that mean my fire department always late???😂
😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ my budgies are going as for this. They loved these sirens
It was so cool seeing you at Charlotte airport last week, extremely nice guy!!
what a way to end the paramedic shift, thx for your content, it brings us smile in the station.
“Get out of the way!” should be part of the sirens 😂
i hear all of these every night living in boston 😭
Nice CFA shirt. Want a Queensland Fire and Rescue one?

I thought that he had a cfa shirt
“GET🗣OUT🗣OF🗣THE🗣WAY🗣“ love that one, it reminds me of my friend
I was a volunteer with the Country Fire Authority (CFA) for over twenty years, I love the shirt 👍🇦🇺
The best one is obviously a voice recording of the paramedic going, “nee naw, nee naw” over and over again.
😂This brought back fond memories of when I would ride with my father who was one of the engineers in the station, and we would have so much fun with traffic!!! Especially the drivers that had no clue the ladder engine was right behind them trying to get by.😂
Can confirm, Priority siren is always used when someone in the medic is screaming
We had the "MOVE TO THE OTHER RIGHT" for those directionally challenged driver's 😂
As a mom of a kid with food allergies, I just want to say how much we appreciate everything you do. ❤️
I so love this guy. Growing up were I did I learned all of the different sirens. But where I live now, out of the city, I've don't hear them often anymore. When I do hear one I have to think a minute about which one it is.
