*mentions religious trauma, vague details* I'm glad that you pointed out Kim Kim's experience as "extremely unhealthy Christianity" instead of just Christianity in general. I identify as Christian and have experienced what Christianity looks like in both normal, healthy practice and in abnormal, extreme practice (that caused a lot of trauma in my life and led me to seek counseling). The past few years have caused me to work out what my spiritual practice is: what I believe, not what I think I should believe, what my family believes, or what I've been taught (both healthy and unhealthy). Despite the heavy involvement of religion in my personal trauma, my faith in God is what got me through it and allowed me to get back to a safe place. God never left me even though people hurt me while using Him as the reason or excuse. God allowed me to find a Christian counselor who was understanding and very sensitive to my story and my needs. She knew that at that point, if she started quoting Bible verses and praying over me that I would run out of her office and drive away as fast as I could. Instead, she listened to my story and reminded me that what they did in the name of Christianity went totally against its core principles. She said that if that was how Christians were supposed to act, that she would abandon the faith that day. She was the first person to truly validate my experience; she told me that I had experienced trauma and that the symptoms I was seeking help for (flashbacks, nightmares, out of place emotions, sleep issues, work issues, anxiety, hypervigilance) were natural reactions to trauma. I'm still not where I want to be spiritually, but I am clinging to my faith because I know that God will pull me through in the end and that He has a purpose for my life, that I'm here for a reason.

Likewise ... My own therapist has shared with me a tiny portion of her travels; we are both Christian, but she went through the ardious procress of being ordained in Old Catholic Church of Canada. She never excatly told me what happened (save her arguments with her bishops ...), but by the God's grace, she is a ordained priest in the Anglican commune, serving a small ministry amongst the First Peoples somewhere in the north ... Whilst you and mine journeys were, and are different (mine is based on family abuse, including paternal incest ...), she was the one that stood by me when the church I used to belong to, themselves accused me of harrasement, (although their grounds were pretty weak ...), all because they were/are deeply evangelical, and perhaps neo-Baptist. She, too, shared her experience of when she was still married, a very similar church (which, ironically was litterally three streets away from where mine was, and with whom they had ties with ...), accused her if having a lesbian relationship with another married woman ... it seems we have been both unfairly, and harshly treated by those whom profess faith, in maybe the letter of the law, but certainly not its spirit ... So whilst I may not, and never, exactly know, what you have been through, I hear you and your pain. And although it is not my place to apologize, in this season, I am sorry ... and hope you may have begun to heal. God, in His mercy, has been merciful towards you. Ironically, it is a reason why reading Job is a comfort to me; whilst he may have felt abandoned by God, God never abandoned him. And, listening to your story, I feel the same towards you. Your journey into your own faith may be difficult, but I believe that God will be there, in the much the same way as 'Footprints' ... Hence I will encourage you to keep going ... you will get there ...

I'm in a similar position. I haven't even actually experienced any active religious abuse like others, but being LGBTQ+ in a Catholic upbringing automatically does a lot of damage. I've been finding my own spiritual footing and it turns out that some of my beliefs are changing to being polar opposite what I was raised to believe. There is a lot of bad within Christianity but there is also good, and the good outweighs the bad imo.

V hard to have a religious practice be so ingrained w so many atrocities and it be healthy Christianity was a tool for colonization & to take many people rights away that may not be the beliefs fault but it’s institutional at this point

In my spring quarter if my first year of college my friend group consisted of a Jehovah's Witness, a pagen, a non-denominational Christian, a Catholic, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. We all got along just fine and had educated conversations about religion and our differences in viewing the world. It was great.

Sounds like Lito is still very influenced by his fictional counterpart when it comes to religion because as far as i know that is a very hispanic/latinx thing to do; however, i wonder if his lack of faith in any higher power also stems from your hinted at background of toxic christianity. Tbh you and your whole system are so interesting and i love that by this point you are talking about everyone like they are physically here-like to think that about this time last year you didn’t have any idea that they existed is so wild. You guys have come such a long way and i know the pride of a stranger doesn’t mean much but honestly i am so proud of how far you’ve come!

So myself, Jack, Sloan, Perry, and Jaime are Jewish. We go to synagogue, keep kosher, follow the commandments. All of us have always been Jewish, so it’s just part of who we are. W is highly interested in Wicca, but is still just in the learning phase of things. Honestly, the biggest issue we have is finding that balance of the Jewish alters wanting to keep kosher and all that, and the non Jewish alters simply forgetting, because there are a lot of rules. It’s a discussion we have with our rabbi and Jewish friends - mostly in a Jewish theological debate sense, not in a serious sense - of are we breaking kosher rules if it’s not a Jewish identity putting food into the body? Or if we have amnesia from switching and are unaware that the alter before us just ate meat and we drink milk to soon, is that breaking a commandment? It’s all theoretical and in good spirits (as most Jewish debates are). Jewish people are specifically not allowed to try to convert anyone, so we just apply that in system - we can’t make any other alter keep kosher cause it falls under that rule, so kosher mistakes are just let go. Like you said, it’s about respect. We appreciate the non-Jewish alters who keep kosher and/or keep the commandments, but we don’t force anyone to or get mad if they don’t or forget because it’s a lot for anyone who didn’t grow up in the culture.

I'm Christian which is a bit different so idk if I'm aloud to comment on this but ya sence yall share a brain I would say its probally a "sin"(like for all of u) but not to worry about it becouse God is good and(probally I'm not perfectly sure tho)takes into account mentally different people if that makes sence like you cant control it if another alter is out and he knows that so I wouldent worry about it but, hey that's just my opinion!

I love that you have a rabbi you can talk to about that kind of thing. Judaism does have a lot of rules, and Kosher is no joke (even I’m bad at keeping Kosher and I was raised in a Kosher house). Since your non-Jewish alters are keeping the body fed and therefore protecting your life, I would think that falls under the Kosher exceptions, but I’m no theologian and certainly not a rabbi. So what you are saying. How can one of yours be muslim when. We view this case differently. As we see it as you are one not many. But you can split your self but never have a new person of interest in you. You may construct one upon social reflections. A boy or girl that you saw. Or it could be from a dream. What do you have a religion? We have the aspect of Jinnah and Jinn that will appear with many forms and some are good and some are bad. Some have religion some will not. Did you name your alters? Do their ages change? What form do they have (What shape). Is there allways a good and bad alter? Does one alter threaten one another? Could you answer these for me please. I say you because within your life till end are you one or many?

@@fahadmalik8862 Since nobody answered you yet, I can answer some based on my experience. I am also a muslim and I may have DID. I am the host, the one who believes and worships Allah. For my other alters, they also believe in Allah too but they could care less about religion so I am not very worried. Not all alters are "bad". They are just twisted. Even if they are "bad", they can be lead to the right path if the alters helped one another. Some alters don't have their names like one of mine. So we decided to name him Richard and he likes it so he agreed to be named that way. Some alters are fictives, which means they have the same features as the fictional character. Usually they wont be the SAME as the fictional character after a little while since they are becoming human and not just "fictional". Some are non-human. Some are human. It depends on the trauma and how the brain works, really. Some alters age and some dont. It depends on them sometimes. And yes an alter can threaten one another. They are just like their own person. (if human alters) In the end, I am not so sure if we count as one person or not, as a muslim. If you have any more questions, do ask me but remember, my answers are based on experience. Not all will have the same answer as mine.

I feel like people outside out of the head space should be respectful more! It's not just religion but also sexuality, gender, or anything 'abnormal'. It would make the world a much better place :D Things like communication, friendliness, acceptance in general are all good steps to make any relationship better!

I agree 100%! People need education and exposure to what DID truly is. While I don't have DID myself, I've learned a great deal about symptoms I do have that are shared with DID. This is why I support Entropy System, DissociaDID, a a few others. These people are the kind of people who change. Real change.

Wow! This is a really facinating topic, and as a baby system I'm still trying to figure out this stuff. I've been somewhat confused about how I feel so connected to so many different ways of expressing religion and it wasn't until this video that I had even thought about how that might be related to the fact that I have different people in my head! Has Mistletoe's integration affected Wyn's spiritually at all?

This one is 10/10, definitely will reference it whenever an alter in our system is confused by all sorts of values and beliefs in our system . We’re practicing casual witchcraft daily, we’re absolutely are not religious, however every alter has different spiritual perspectives, many definitely have different opinions and interacting beliefs and values, but we have a big resolution to all work as a whole “coven”, and protect our youth and innocent at all cost. In a coven, every alter has a role, and we respect each other by selecting a host for each spirit driven ritual we do (as casual as it can get, and as formal it can get. Working together but also letting alters do their thing at their time in their view of the ritual- aiming for the same goals.) We’re also are pretty much atheist, since we don’t believe in god, we do believe divine is an energetic concept, which is defined by the alter at front at any given moment. I think some inner alters are jewish inspired, but it is mire so a reflection of our childhood experience and introduction to that than a belief. So interesting.

I try very hard to be respectful of everyone in whatever beliefs they hold. I am a Christian and everywhere I look I see other Christians behaving in a very arrogant and judgemental way. I don't believe that is what my faith should be. I think being respectful of others beliefs is just being kind. I always try to be kind, that is what my faith teaches.

TrekSwag I love that mindset, as another Christian who 1) has very abnormal beliefs and 2) finds a lot of Christians arrogant and selfish I often find myself ashamed to say I’m Christian because other Christians say I’m fake or a bad Christian because I have weird beliefs and other people assume I’m arrogant and aggressive about my beliefs. I love learning about other religions and find areas I like and adapt them into my own practices (for example Sikhism where all gods are the same one under different names Ive adapted it into God shows himself in different ways to different cultures). I love hearing about other people’s beliefs because it tells you a lot about them as a person.

@TrekSwag I'm a Christian too (technically Episcopalian), but having gone through being a Jehovah's Witnesses and, for want of a better term, a deeply evangelical, neo-baptist, church, I know the kind of anger of which you speak. Heck, I was once on my way to doing my weekly shop, when a Charismatic Penticostalist stopped me in the street. For the next 15 minutes I tried to calmly explain to him that being a Christian need not involve knowingly being baptised in the Holy Sprit, but rather simply knowing it exists; of course he thought otherwise, leading to my natural good humour to rapidly wear thin. Heck, even quoting scripture back at him did nothing to dissuade him from saying that I 'wasn't a true Christian', since I hadn't been baptised in the Holy Spirit; even asking whether the thief, who was cruicified along with Christ, whom asked Him for forgivness, was a Christian, went down badly ... So, sadly, I hear ya ... heck, being center-left, means I am fighting against the way being left leaning has been lumped in with the 4th wave, radical feminists/SJWs. Yes, I am for gender equality (although equity is nigh on impossible, without skewing absolutely everything ...), and, as my fiancé is a FtM transman, I am also equally for trans and gay rights (he actually has a tattoo of the St. Peter's Cross, on his right shoulder ...); but at times it feels like I am fighting a losing battle ... Ironically, most of the KZreadrs I subb to are either agnostic and/or atheists, but not aggressivly so, mostly a) I like them, and most (abet not absolutely everything) of the message they convey, and because b) they not radical, and get overheated at the mere suggestion of religion ... heck, some say, rightly, that the 'socal justice' of that certain kind of feminism/SJW is borderline being a cult ... and having 'survived' the JWs, I can see why ... If you may indulge me to further vent: rather like the unfortunate split between Left and Right, Conservatives vs Liberals (abet Lincoln was, by our standards, a Liberal, and a Progressive ...), my hope is that within Christianity, that those on the equivalent of the center-left and center-right, come together in some sort of convocation; I don't expect a big campfire, where everyone holds hands, and sings Kumbaya (although much healing is to be had ...); but if the next pope continues the progress that Pope Francis has made, and the next Archbishop of Canterbury faces the reality that the Anglican commune will fall apart, sooner or later, with the more conservative elements breaking off from perhaps both, I hope that, as present, the friendship between both pope and primate deepens. Indeed, from my personal perspective, the Nicene Creed is the nail my faith is firmly afixed to ... But anyway, tomorrow being Christmas, I wish you, and your beloved, a blessed day. I'm Christian but often find myself rebuking those "Christians " who feel it is their job to share God's wrath with the world. Not only is this not their job, as we are told to love others and even our enemies, but it makes people look at Christianity wrongly, as a hateful and hypocritical thing. This could not be further from the truth. It makes me ashamed to see how so-called Christians abuse others because of the evil and pride in their own hearts. There is so much more to it than this!

I went to a baptist school in central Texas (UMHB-really close to Killeen! A lot of people in Ft Hood took classes there!) and at the time I was a progressive Christian. I think currently the best way I can describe myself now is agnostic, as having belief was getting harder and harder the more I pushed it and I started being at peace with not having answers to questions of faith. In the past two years I have reconnected with one of my college friends who married a baptist minister, and I was afraid to show too much of myself to her because I feared judgement. What I find instead is incredible love, acceptance, and validation every single time. It is one of the most refreshing interactions. She doesn’t pressure me and I don’t her. It’s absolutely wonderful. I’m so glad that we have reconnected and we can have differences but still build each other up.

Thanks for sharing this with us! It takes tremendous strength to be compassionate and understanding of others, especially when we create so many opposing groups among humans and then they feel the need to attack each other. If we are going to ever live in any sort of a peaceful world, we don't need to be disrespectful to other groups of people.

"How do we manage ; we respect each other" That's like, enough said for this video. But I like Daniel the more I get to know him

One of my closest friends who is evangelical was there for me while I was trying to force myself back into that mindset (I was raised Lutheran). Throughout my transition from that to atheist to more of believing and trusting in the universe, she’s been supportive tho not necessarily understanding which is okay. Because of that, I don’t discuss my use of crystals or that I frequently draw sigils and use color magic. Other friends wise, I have a mix of atheists and fellow people who believe more in spirits or magick like myself. I’m fortunate enough to have a group of friends overall that regardless respect one another. Especially with the first pal mentioned, we’ve always talked about appreciating that spirituality and religion can be good and well as long as that person, at their core, is striving to be good and well. Because of that, people can have what they have, and it’s beautiful.

Thank you for this video. We have been struggling with different religions within our system. We are still working on communication and acceptance.

religion has been interesting for us. as you know, some of us are wiccan! but our path to this point has been a winding road and different ones have stopped at different points of that road and made home. for a long time I was in a Christian group that was also unhealthy. during much of that time I was unaware of having alters. I found out later that Cassidy had maintained interest in Paganism throughout that time and THAT is one of the big reasons I was often conflicted about the group I was in (aside from the unhealthy stuff). once I left that group, Cassidy felt free to outwardly pursue her beliefs and ultimately myself and others in the system felt comfortable with that path, which became Wiccan. now several of us identify as Wiccan or pagan and we have different paths within that group of beliefs. and of course there is much acceptance in the pagan religions for other pagans and wiccans (and non pagans/wiccans) to follow their own path. and so my system is sort of a microcosm of that. there are still some who prefer Christianity (I think mostly Lutheranism as that was our first experience of church) but no one can figure out who this one or these ones are. probably because of the huge shift to Wicca, I think they worry about not being accepted by us since some of us have a strong opposition now to anything Christian). Sometimes I find myself wanting to return to Lutheranism even though I know very well it's not for me. I think that desire comes from someone else who has not yet been identified. most of our littles don't believe or practice anything. we were raised with no religion whatsoever and I think this is why it's not a part of their lives. and it doesn't have to be! overall, we present as Wiccan to outsiders who are unaware of our multiplicity, because most of our common fronters are such. but no one in the system who is not Wiccan has to pretend to be while fronting. but those who are clinging to Lutheranism do not express this outwardly due to the conflict that would create due to people in our life knowing I am Wiccan. we keep a Wiccan altar out here for those of us who want to use it. sometimes we create smaller individual altars to be more personalized for each part.

Merry Meet, you all! "I" (the current front person and some others) are Pagans who honor a wide variety of entities (including deities) and practice Magick. Some of us are Neo-Pagans (akin to Wiccans), some have evolved their own unique brand of spirituality, some are from ancient cultures with those sets of beliefs, and some are non-human spirits/entities in their own right. Many of us don't give a fig, one way or another. There is one of us who embraces a fundamentalist belief system and who is gravely concerned about the spiritual fate of the rest of us. This has caused her (and us) a considerable amount of anxiety and rancor in the past, but things are getting better. Thank you for creating this video and for giving many of us subscribers an opportunity to share our own experiences along these lines.

I’m Christian and I don’t really care what religion you’re apart of as long as it’s healthy and not harmful. A lot of my friends however are Jewish and atheists and tend to make fun of me because of my beliefs. It never goes beyond one remark or two and I typically don’t react to it, but my one friend is always down my throat about how much she hates Christianity and God. I don’t ever bring up religion around her, but she brings it up to me and goes on about how stupid it all is and idk what to do about it...

@Joshua Darragh As a fairly liberal Christian myself, I understand the problem you are in ... My question is, her arguments against Christianity aside, what kind of friend is she to you, and what kind of friend she regards you as ... if you are close, then part of you may well have to exercise forbearance ... If every conversation you have with her, though, always ends up in her arguing with you about not just Christianity, not about your faith, and the way you perceive your own faith, but how all of that colours the way she sees you, then you may have to think about what kind of friend she actually is. Christ Himself, when upon this Earth, was indeed a man of compassion, empathy, sympathy, and magnanimity. But He, iirc, also said that if you enter a village/town that takes a disliking to you, upon your leaving of it, at its limits, brush the dust from it off of your feet, before continuing your journey. If I were in your postion, me being me, would ask God, that, in His mercy, He be mercyful towards her, for she doesn't not know what she is doing. I do not advocate getting angry at her, nor lashing back, due to the pain she causes ( in my life experience fear causes anger, anger causes hate, hate causes suffering, is pretty damn true ... ). If you need to withdraw your friendship, do so with lovingkindness, and not out of anger, and certainly not hate, but rather sorrow ...

That's not a friend. A real friend respects your beliefs even if they don't agree. Take them aside and ask them not to talk about religion around you since you don't bring up with her. If they argue with you or agree but don't follow through, then you should free to interupt them when they rant to say "we agreed not to talk about religion" and start taking about something else. If they still don't get it, you can stop spending time with them.

I think our first instinct is to run away or villainize the person causing us harm. But instead of being uncomfortable, try listening to her and understand why she feels that way, maybe by seeing that you are willing to listen to her and continue to show her love she will be able to see God's love in you and understand that He is different from her previous experiences with religion. But while showing love and forgiveness in this radical way is Christlike, I believe that it is important we aren't trying to do without first receiving god's love and forgiveness for her. If you try to just sit there, and only feel uncomfortable, it is probably more Christlike to have an honest conversation about how she is making you feel so that you don't damage your relationship further and end up creating resentment on both sides instead of friendship. Maybe talk to your friends/ church family/ God for advice as well, since I'm only a random stranger on the internet... good luck

I was like this in highschool. it's been 5 years since then, though, so I've grown a lot. while being disrespectful is not okay, I think it is important to keep in mind that she probably had a very bad experience with religion. does that make it okay? no. but I know for me, my whole family is and was religious at the time. when I finally decided that I was an atheist, the only people I could discuss it with were friends because I knew anyone in my family would have terrible reactions. I know that because of this I said disrespectful things to my religious friends. I would take it back now if I could, but being able to voice my opinions about this was a new thing and because I felt so wronged by religion I almost had a sort of vendetta against it. let her know that it bothers u, but that u also understand her frustrations.

I’m a Christian, just finding out I’m a system, (I think OSDD-1B) and thinking about it, I always have a re-occurring period of time that I just can’t sit in church, I just can’t. It starts around my daughters birthday,and it lasts a couple of months to almost half a year..My daughters birth and first few months where extremely traumatic to me with her having going trough many surgeries. I think one of my alters formed in that period of time that get’s triggered and is out a lot, (or passive influencing, I don’t know much yet) that isn’t Christian. He still very much respects me being a Christian, but just you know, can’t sit in church...funny that my life finally is starting to make sense like that :)

I’m Jewish and my mom worked at a church for 10 years. I used to volunteer in their vacation church school because I love kids and no one ever treated me badly or shut me out because I wasn’t Presbyterian. As far as I’m concerned, if you are a good, decent person, I don’t care what you believe. I’m often surrounded by people of other faiths, even up here in New York, but I always approach it from a place of genuine interest and kindness. At their heart I believe all religions are about treating others with kindness and respect, and I certainly believe that about my own faith. Thanks for sharing!

Wow I really identify with this. Egyptian, Greek, and Norse gods, were huge as we were growing up. Kim kim definitely sounds similar to at least one of us in the system as well as someone who is Wiccan, someone with some beliefs based from Japan, one with Buddhist beliefs, atheist, agnostic, not caring at all aboit religion, and that same kinda earthy energy power/magic that isnt really wiccan. We are still newer to being aware and trying to introduce ourselves and figure out who and to whom the beliefs belong to. We also agree to what you say about no judgement. In our system, we all agree that everyone has a right to believe in whatever manner of spirituality they so choose.

Hey Wynn i really enjoyed hearing about your different alters beliefs it's awesome the mutual respect that you have. Im a Christian.I definitely respect my loved ones different beliefs but because of my beliefs I worry they will not be with me in heaven. The fact that I struggle with OCD intensifies that. I use to feal the need to witness to every person on KZread or Facebook who said they didnt believe in God. I know some people have been offended by my overzealous witnessing. I still believe in witnessing but I sincerely apologize if I've been too agresive at times.

I understand that struggle. A lot of what everyone says about not wanting to push your beliefs down other people's throats I completely understand. But it gets difficult when your religion believes they wont be with you in heaven, and thats really painful. I think sharing in a loving way with lots of prayer can be helpful, and then respecting boundaries if they straight up tell you no. It can be rough to be a bit misunderstood for it though..

Oh I know how u feel it's scary to think my family wont be with me but good news! I don’t personally have DID, but I am a Christian and have friends of many different beliefs, from Buddhists to Muslims to Atheists, etc. I’m not one of those people who likes shoving theology down people’s throats, especially since the Bible teaches to “love your neighbor as yourself.” If we end up talking about religion I enjoy hearing their perspective and we share mutual respect. I like what you said about Daniel helping you even though you both don’t share the exact same beliefs, I found that to be the case when I was talking to a friend who is Muslim, she was talking about prayer and I could definitely feel her devotion, inspiring me to pray more devotedly in my personal faith, even if it’s not the same. Religion is a very personal thing, and if people would just listen to others they might find they can learn a thing or two. Thanks so much for all of the educational videos, I absolutely love all the new info and awareness I’ve gained on DID over the years. Keep up all the great work! :)

Thank you for addressing this; we have a similar mix, and so far it host hasn't been a topic (let alone an issue), but it's nice to know that it doesn't ever have to be, and I think we can all respect the differences and get along too.

i believe that there's power in belief itself, as in your religious belief/practices influence your surroundings and yourself. so it's a "everybody is right to a degree" kind of situation sadly, i've been getting forcefully pushed into a particularly toxic type of catholicism since early childhood and man that really sucks. but i only have 2 more years left before i can leave this all behind though so wish me luck! i hope after that i can finally start healing!! my friends are also mostly catholic/atheist but we respect each others' believes. i'm rlly happy about that

Most of us are either religious and/or spiritual. I am Wiccan as well and follow the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. Like your system we respect each other's beliefs and in general as well -Cassada

I respect all religions and believes although i distance myself from the people that use religion to hurt or worse others. I personally am fascinated by religions, but i am to much of a scientist to let myself go and believe in something. I very much respect people that believe though as long as they dont push it onto me or try to convert me to their religion. People should take you guys as an example on how to treat others.

As host, I find that there is a big religious conflict problem in our system. One of our alters, Fiyero, was created from religious abuse, and he is absolutely terrified of anything related to Christianity. I'm not religious but I practice witchcraft and I like to incorporate religious elements into my artwork (which proves difficult to do since Fiyero is usually very close to the front.) Also, he recently told me about another alter (Enjel) that I didn't even know of that is currently harassing him and scaring him because of her religious beliefs....I don't know how to solve this especially since I can't contact Enjel, but we'll figure it out..

Some books that might be helpful for the Egyptian Gods are "The Daily Life of the Egyptian Gods" and "The Book of the Veil" both by Peter Paddon. For Saints & such is the "Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints & Sages: A Guide to Asking for Protection, Wealth, Happiness, and Everything Else" by Judika Illes.

Studying religion and different religious cultures has been one of my special interests for a very long time, since before most of us were around. Im positive that's the reason most of us identify with different religions. I'm an eclectic pagan (celtic & norse primarily). One of our littles works with Anpu/Anubis. We have 3 christians, one catholic and 2 who reject the Gospel and instead believe solely in the Book of Revelation. And 2 others who follow an inner-world religion and Gods. Respect is absolutely key. While some of us can butt heads sometimes, we all respect and recognize why our religions are important to us. I think all people really need to learn that.

I think that believes and Religion is such a simple thing. Believe in whatever you want as long it's makes yourself feel better, and don't hurt others. Stop trying to convince other people and don't think you and only you know the true way to happyness. You think it couldn't be so hard. So i think it's great how you handle it.

Wynn! Is there any way you could show us any ritual you might do or just show us how you practice? It's totally find if you aren't comfortable with that, but I thought I would ask anyway. :)

I had friends who were of a different faith than myself. The weirdest ones were a Pakistani who was a Moslem and a friend who was a White American who was also a Christian Scientist.

I'm a very observant Jew and my husband is not religious at all. But we agreed that we identify as a Jewish family ethnically, and we're raising our children both in the Jewish faith and ethnicity. Basically we practice the Jewish traditions as a family, but I don't expect my husband to l, say, keep kosher, as long as he allows me to keep kosher. It's a lot of navigation, but at the end of the day we're always a team.

My immediate family is all Roman Catholic, except my sister is a practicing Protestant. My fiance is also Catholic, and we go to the same church. The reason I'm best friends with the people I am is because we aren't a part of the same religion but we have very good discussions all the time about our religions and other religions. It's something that all of us respect, even if it is something that not all of us follow. Most of my friends are atheist, but know that if I pray for them that I am trying to give as much peace as possible for them in any given situation. One of my LGBTQ+ best friends was raised Catholic, changed to Mormonism, then became atheist. It's something all of us respect but also know that we are okay practicing around others even when they may not have the same practices.

I’m not a system, but I’m jewish and I have two groups of friends, one is all jewish and one is where Im the only jew. My friends always get along fine and respect each other, my favorite is when we discuss religion and compare and contrast the traditions and beliefs within them

We have a devout Christian and a Norse pagan. Yeah things get interesting from time to time... Currently trying to find a way for everyone to comfortably have their own space outer world.

As a 14 year old with DID I follow my family’s beliefs only finding out about my alters In 2018 we are having trouble establishing balance with religion and beliefs does anyone have any advice for me to talk about with my system

Authentic clarity of it's nature has no impulse to argue religion or prosetlyze atheists, beyond perhaps gently pointing out that clarity is possible for whomever brings sincerity into silence, or love, or service, or whichever facet of the gem of being awake happens to personally resonate as a gate. If someone hasn't yet realized that the time-being is in array, and wants to believe or practice any particular way, or in no way, it's perfectly fine. It's like being unconcerned if a friend is vexed about gravity or doubts that light exists. You aren't worried for light, nor lack the confidence they'll figure out gravity eventually. People protecting their personal possession of faith tend to argue back, particularly when someone with their eyes closed yells at them that light doesn't exist. When clarity has actualized the fundamental point, and light and gravity are just...it is obviously so, there's no need to argue with people, or convert them, or trash their beliefs.

My family is very Catholic, so I went to Catholic elementary school and religion classes once a week in middle and high school, and I just recently became a confirmed Catholic. The thing is, I feel absolutely no connection to the religion, I maybe did when I was younger, but any pull this faith had over me seems to have been gone for at least 4 years. I don’t feel Catholic, I never wanted to go to religion classes and I really didn’t want to get confirmed, but if I had tried to tell my parents I wasn’t going to go through with confirmation I know it would not go over well at all. I’m just not in a safe enough environment at home to explore what actually feels right for me in terms of religion

We are definitely at the same place regarding this issue. To each their own. Some of us have a Religious affinity, some of us are Spiritual, some of us are Athiest, and a few are agnostic and even a few are just confused and are too young to make their own decisions. Our DID was based in part due to unhealthy religious practices so we too do not push our feelings regarding Faith and Spirituality on anyone. We are co-existing and cohabitating in one headspace and as we are all getting along with the large number of Alters, Religion causes so much discord in Society, why would we cause discord in our own body. TW for KimKim: starting a religious discussion I'm Catholic and I think there's nothing wrong to share your religion with someone and even try to convince them, as long as it's done in a polite and respectful way. And yeah, our religious experiences are personal for each of us, but it doesn't mean it's something we need to hide and avoid talking about it. I personally think that Jesus loves everyone, including all of you. It doesn't mean I will critisize your beliefs or anything, I don't even know you in person and I try to be nice to everyone I meet, it just means that in my opinion, my religion does not work only for me, but refers to everyone. That's why I want as many people as possible to believe in it. Still, we all have free will and we all can choose. Furthermore, all religions have something valuable in them and for me it's totally okay to hang out with a person of different beliefs and to learn about their religious experience, it's simply interesting for me. And as much as I want to know about what are different religions about and why does someone find particularly them right, I want to be free to share my experiences and views and why do I find Catholicism right with the other people.

I'm agnostic, and a few years back I lived with 3 girls who were all Christian. I know a fair bit of the basics of Christianity from school, but don't claim to be an expert. We got on the same way you guys do, just by respecting each other's beliefs and not forcing our own opinions on anyone. They all went to church & Christian Union together, and if they were going to an event they would invite me along but understood if I didn't want to go. They had some more evangelical friends who were a bit harder to deal with, they had a tendency to start preaching or pulling me into debates that I didn't have the scriptural knowledge to fully engage in, but I mostly avoided them and it worked out fine 😂

I, unfortunately, live in the belt buckle of the Bible Belt. I was transferred here ten years ago to work in the retail channel. It is not uncommon for a customer to greet us with, "Hello John, my name is Mike. Which church/pastor do you follow." If you give them a church or pastor they don't approved of, or worse yet saying there is no god (I only did that once and she deserved it!), they ask to work with someone else. This happens at least a couple of times a day. Every day. Thankfully, this area is growing in the tech fields which motivated this a bit. I was able to find like minded friends that are open minded and accepting of people as they are. Actually, this group of friends operates somewhat like your system. We each have our own thoughts, opinions, beliefs, and practices and we let them do their thing and moved on.

I find that I can really identify with your beliefs Wen! I thought I was like the only person on earth who worshipped like that. Luckily it seems there are others as well. I find it quite hard with some people in my family to have different beliefs especially with my uncle who is a really religious Christian. He is a pastor in the Philippines. What I find the most difficult is that he is opposed to gay people and I’m bisexual (I haven’t told him because I don’t see him that often and don’t feel the need to). And I am also not Christian in the way he is. I do however feel like they worship a god, though not the same gods that I worship. Thnx for the video. PS. I’m not a system (as far as I know right now)...

Has anyone ever mentioned the 3rd and 4th Unitarian Universalist principles? They are 3: Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth...; and 4: A free and responsible search for truth and meaning. All of what you mentioned reminds me of these 2 principles. I am a Unitarian Universalist Pagan with Buddhist leanings. 🕸🌍

Our system has different religions involved that coexist peacefully including buddhism, paganism and athiesm.

I’m unsure about religion right now, and though I was raised catholic and my parents would prefer for me to go to church they’ve kind of accepted that it’s not something I want to do, so I’m glad enough for that.

I try to respect my friends religions as much as I personally can. I'm athiest and most of my friends are not. We don't talk about it often. But when we do I try not to push my beliefs. I respect their need to connect to something. But I do know sometimes I do make them uncomfortable with the way I speak about my beliefs.

I am one more onan open minded Christian side which is kind of radical even too vague for most. its just like you said. I will never force my beliefs onto others but rather respect other people’s belief. I have grown alot over the yrs to get to be at such a point. Forcing one’s beliefs upon others is what caused so many wars geerations ago and even now, its still evident which is really sad

How do you think you'd handle it if one of the alter's beliefs means they had to have a different diet?

Our diet is already pretty strict since we can’t eat gluten. If one of us converted to Judaism, for example, it really wouldn’t be a big step for us to become kosher. I think we could definitely make it work. -Wyn

Also, love this video! Wynn, would you be comfortable talking more about being a Wiccan? I don't have much experience with Wiccans and want to learn more from someone more from an educational standpoint, and not from videos of various rituals in which the explanation of why isn't explained to non-Wiccans.

I have a group of friends and family that have different religous beliefs then I do. I have been leaning more towards agnostic/maybe athiest. We tend to be respectful of each others beliefs but every once in a while we will get in tiny arguements over religion...and politics.

[Rain] Huh I would have expected all that spiritualism to have lead kit to being agnostic tbh, maybe that's because all of us here are Christian including Sophia which is an amateur astrologer.

Viori: Most everyone in our system is athiest or agnostic, though we have a few that differ. Nova is very anti-religion, fae believe that the world would be a better place without religion in it, and fae sometimes try to push religious people into justifying their religion, or reasoning themselves out of contradictions in their religious beliefs, especially in Christianity as that is what fae know best, though fae consider any religion with a tri-omni god to be an easy target. However, fae do not support the removal of religion by force, only by education, in part because fae believe trying to remove religion by force would not actually work, a position I very much agree with. Nova does believe quite strongly in the simulation hypothesis however, though fae insist this is not out of any "faith" but moreso because it seems statistically probable and faer observations of reality are consistent with it. Coco also believes in the simulation hypothesis, but is a bit less strongly anti-religion than Nova. Though she does believe the world would be generally better without religion, she does not often attempt to convince someone to abandon their religion. She believes that, even with a good argument showing a religion to be completely illogical, impossible, and contradictory by its own rules, the faithful will continue to believe regardless. Nova understands this to some extent, but seems unable to shake the need to help them abandon their false beliefs. Viridi is quite literally a goddess of nature, and acknowledges herself as such, yet seemingly paradoxically does not ascribe to any religious beliefs. Pit is much the same; he acknowledges Viridi as a goddess yet does not believe in deities. I, personally, like most others in our system, am agnostic. I do find belief without evidence to be quite foolish, but I've no strong desire to attempt to convert anyone, nor do I fully believe in the simulation hypothesis.

Most of my system is some variation of atheist, although some of us are pretty spiritual. Erika in particular is very very atheist. She’s the furthest you can get from agnostic, honestly. Most of the rest of us are varying levels of agnostic. A couple of us believe in the supernatural tho, like ghosts and ESP and stuff, but that’s not really religious in nature.

You guys need to watch Vir Das new Netflix special. Also, one day can you show us a ritual? Are there rituals? Also, also, I am Christian.....just saying. Not heavily, but it have my own private reasons for that. But, I really love the Hindu religion. I personally don’t subscribe to any one religion I have respect for everybody’s believes including Muslim because everyone deserves that respect in their religion I just don’t like it when people try to shove it down my throat that makes me mad and gets me angry but I do have respect for each person believes I personally believe mostly in the power of the universe the energies around us and inner selves

personally, I consider myself pseudo-atheist, I really more follow the twelve divines from a video game universe (Final Fantasy XIV) but I also believe astrology and tarot actually mean something. my astrological guardian of the Twelve is Thaliak, the Scholar. however I can't remember all twelve names, I can remember a few of them. Thaliak the Scholar, Halone the Fury, and Rhalgr the Destroyer those three are the most mentioned in the video game, so I know more of them. I try to at least remember their twelve aspects, (scholar, destroyer, fury, lover, builder) yet sometimes I just can't bring them to mind and would have to look up all of them to remember.

Personally, I find it to be second nature to a) be open about my faith and b) respect others if they believe something different.

Most of my friends are actually atheist. One of them used to be Christian I think, but spending enough time around us we sort of accidentally converted her over the years to the point where she doesn’t really believe in god anymore. One of my new friends from university is Muslim and we respect that she needs time to pray every day and we just sort of let her do her thing. Live and let live. None of us, except maybe Erika who has watched Religulous quite a few times, have a problem with religion as a concept, and only care when people use it as a weapon.

Atheist... There's a couple exceptions who still aren't really religious in a traditional sense. Like there's no specific religion anyone identities with but a couple have more spiritual beliefs than the rest of us. Micheal and David are the more spiritual ones. (David prefers to go by Ace, he was given the name David Ace but he doesn't like the David part. Only those of us in the same body are allowed to call him that.)

This is very similar to our system. Just that an alter is christiaan and the host is starting up wicca

That seems very unfair.

(Luckily imo) none of us are religious. I think religion is interesting as I havent found one that entirely is how I feel so I just dont do religion. Everyone else hasnt really explored their religious beliefs and (I think and hope) they want to if they are interested in religion figure out their religion when out in the body

I'm really sorry Kimkim had to go through that :( Christianity is supposed to be about love and acceptance, but sadly most of the loudest ones who say they're Christian don't advocate that My best friend for many years is Muslim and I have pagan friends and I love them as I would any of my Christian friends. Just because they believe something different doesn't mean they don't deserve love and respect
