Very good overview. One correction, the level of "Confessor" is called 'Mawdyono' (Confessor of the Faith) from the Syriac.

The one with the alter boys showed a Marthoma church. The bishop was H.G Rt Rev Joseph Mar Baranabas(just mentioning it). No correction. Great video.😀

What is the extra vestment worn by corepisoco called ? what is the staff held by a corepiscopo called ? what do they symbolize ???

@@Vinoy2231 COR-EPISCOPA is as same as the episcopa with less authority....because they are married they are not allowed to wear Eskimos. extra vestments that cor episcopa wear are ( cori- kappa) which is same as shelamudi which are attached to kappa.....and rest are the same as episcopa (bishop) ....in olden times the cor episcopa was the head of village...the cor episcopa would assist bishop to oversee the church under the dioceses .... the cor episcopa was also allowed to give ordination only till the rank of koroyo ..which was later stopped because of some issues....now the cor episcopa is just a honorary post .... ❤️

@@sophinbenny1552 hi Sophin, A Ramban (professed monk) is not a part of a priest hood . It’s rank which a lay person can take after he/she has decided to live monastic life. That’s why we call that ceremony as ‘Ramban sathanarohanam’ which mean ‘ into the rank Ramban ‘ not ‘Rambampattam’ which means ‘ ordination of a ramban’ . I hope you got your answer ❤️😊

I don't understand. Why is there no mention of the Order of Melchizedek? Hebrews 5: 6, 10; 6:20; 7:1,10,11,15,17,21; Genesis 14:18; Psalms 110:4.

Catholicose is not an Order of Priesthood. It’s a special rank of first among the equals. Again supreme head of any Orthodox Church is Jesus Christ himself.

What is the difference between the Jacobite Syrian Church and Malankara Syrian Church?

Well there are no big difference.....the only difference is that Jacobite church comes under the holy Antioch see which was founded by St.peter.....And the malankara orthodox Syrian church is fully independent church which was founded by St.thomas the apostle of India..... That's the only difference between Jacobite & malankara

No Patriarch is the head of Syriac Orthodox Church Not of Malankara Orthodox Church

@aforalan2305 The Patriach is not the Supreme head of Malankara Orthodox Church... The first point of 1934 constitution cannot be learnt by mentioning patriarch as the chief head of Indian Church, as it means that His Holiness is the supreme head of the Syrian Orthodox Church... and as a respect to that we mention him in our Holy Eucharist

@@MalankaraNasrani not for orthodox Church patriarch is not supreme head . If IOC formed by some people who know malankara Is indipendent. At the formation of IOC there ware many independent Syrian Church in malankara . If you say throne of st Thomas . Pls remeber how your grand grand parents insulted and thrown the chair of Thomas 1. The marthoma church formed before IOC in 1835. Who also follow your clam but they didn't take over others churches . Marthoma metropolitan is 22 Metropolitan . If you look into history yours really 8 or something. Before your church had used other names . Some time IOC say malankara church is one and they are the original . But malankara church is splited into marthoma, Jacobite, orthodox, independent Syrian Church. All has same traditional nazrani culture . Syro malankara is included but they become chatholic now

Where in the bible does it say that all these costumes must be worn by a person who leads the church??? Too many pagan rituals and traditions into the church, deviating the focus of the people including the so called priests towards pride and power, rather than focusing on the Lord God Y making Christianity a superior religion rather than making it a simple livelihood? Y holding on to customs and traditions,turn into the scriptures to inherit eternity No priest nor bishop has the power to Judge you're faith and you're reward for eternity,turn towards the scriptures,ye shall find the truth therein Peace to u all😇😇😇

Its All Biblical .....Melchizedek which Was Jesus Christ in old Testament was the High Priest of the ....Holy Father ....later Same Jesus Christ gave the Priest hood Levi tribe to Aaron and later his son Eleazar...and later tribe of Levi for Gods Purposes only .they use to perform their duties as commanded in the bible and later they started worshiping false gods which resulted in losing Israel their Country........and same Pattern continues in New Testament its the Apostles Jesus Christ appointed ......and later to 7 deacons in New Testament Church..........and it Continues...... Worshiping Triune God is the Greatest Achievement we can get in this Human Life and next life to come.....Christianity is Superior to All religions ....no matter how much you criticize it will stay for till the Jesus Christ comes back.......if you dont like you can walk out ...you have to take up the Cross and start walking with him....The Lord Jesus Christ....Order

Historically and traditionally priest wear this when st Thomas the apostle started his church here... They already began to wear this even before they came contact with and western Christianity like Catholicism and even mainstream orthodoxy.... So this is something which st Thomas traditionally teaches... An actual living proof that Catholic and orthodox are historically are the actual church instituted by the apostles....

@@hriata5384 nope.. Its the Syrian orthodox Church that bought all these traditions to india.. Refer historian books.. You can understand more.. Syrian bishops came to India when they came they bought books and plenty other customs which were followed by early Christians..

Jesus founded a church, not a bible. These Indian Christians were evangelized by St. Thomas the Apostle himself. Don't you think the teachings of an APOSTLE would be important? The bible was compiled 200-300 years AFTER Christ died. The early christians did not believe in sola scripture they were Catholic or Orthodox
