Brilliant information here! But seeing as the hair transplant has been already covered on this channel along with all the various tools and techniques used, I didn't see the mention of the DHI pen method being discussed here. From what i have seen the procedure with DHI is the same as FUE but it where it differs is the implantation of the grafts. I would have been great to know more about the advantages or disadvantages of that procedure, as its marketed as better than conventional FUE procedure.

Doctors. Have you covered the DHI technique? I haven't seen all the videos yet? To my understanding the attrition rate isn't as severe as FUE and the shock loss to surrounding follicles isn't as bad either.

Hi, I live in the Portland, OR area and have had one FUT HT surgery about 8 years ago, and plan on getting a FUE next year. The clinic that did my procedure Hair Surgery Specialist NorthWest is no longer around. Is there a specific doctor or hair clinic you can recommend in Portland Metro area of Oregon to do my next (hopefully last lol) HT procedure?

I really enjoy your show. Can you comment on manual vs. motorized FUE extraction? Which one do you use and if you use both, how do you choose the most appropriate?

Probably motorized; what would be the point of manual? It's more painful and tiresome for the surgeons!😊

Thank God you’re both doing these educational videos are indispensable! There is a well known and respected hair restoration practice in NYC and they exclusively use the robot. I’m sure they do a fine job, however with all that time savings I personally would expect the doctor to do all or a good deal of the surgical graph placements. In this case they do zero and the technicians do the work, albeit guided by the surgeon. Any thoughts from anyone reading this? There are some surgeons who do most all the work on a one patient a day by hand without any use of the robot, along with full-time and NOT contracted technicians…and that’s really important these folks are full-time and been with the practice for many years.

There's a well rated clinic close to me here in the UK I'm thinking of going to for for my second HT procedure to get more density at the front. They are offering Manual or Artas options. If you was to pick one of the two for a more density procedure of about 1000 - 1200 grafts which one would you go for? Thanks in advance.

Let me know if you learn anything new about this. I'm in a similar situation. I've never had a transplant, but the surgeon I want to go to gives patients two options - 1.) FUT or 2.) FUE with the ARTAS robot. Some people think it's bad if a surgeon uses a robot, but I don't know. This doctor said I will need 1,000 grafts, so I don't know whether to choose FUT, FUE or to get a second opinion.

Is there a way to determine whether a surgeon is good at performing hair transplants? There are a lot of hair restoration surgeons, but most of them are unskilled and unethical. If a doctor belongs to the ISHRS, does that mean that the quality of their work is good?

Nice one, we will put that one on the list. However, I don't think it is a straightforward answer like most would expect.
