These A6000 videos are so helpful!
Very informative. Simple. Straight to the point (not much unnecessary vloging). And fast talking. Love it. 👍 👍
I've been using mostly AF-S mode. I'm trying to learn how to take photos more manually, as well as straighten my horizon. Your videos have been helping. I just got my first Digital SLR a few weeks ago. I got a really good deal from an elder man, and he gave me an even better deal because I told him I was planning on taking courses. Super kind gentleman. Thank you for sharing your tips with us. 😊
Hi Benjamin, your Videos are so very helpful, and i want to say you are the best youtuber ever 'cooler, simpatic and very modern. Congratiolations 👍📸
Hi Benjamin, taking my first photography class and I watch your videos for supplemental lessons. Your videos are great - clearly explained topics and easy to adapt to my own camera. Thanks!
Just found you and been watching a bunch of your videos since I have Sony a6000 but never knew how to properly use it
These videos are fantastic, I've learned so much in such little time from them! Ben is great at breaking things down and describing in simple terms, and the examples are especially helpful! Cheers ben
10/10 for the explanation. Easy to grasp for a beginner like me. Cant wait for my a6000 to arrive. Keep up the good job!
Thanks for all these videos, they've been a great help with my new Sony camera! Keep them coming!
Hello Benjamin! I just bought my first ever camera (sony a5100) and I always watch your videos for beginners like me in photography. They are all very helpful and easy to understand! Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you very much for this short and sweet video... I am learning photography and I was invited to a graduation and I had a really bad time trying to get moving people in focus, before watching this video I was thinking that my mistake was using a low ISO and a slow shutter speed (I changed that later even if high ISO would introduce noise but at least I was using 1/60 shutter speed for most people and I even set it higher in some occasions)... But right now that I watched this little yet simple explanation of the focus modes I discover another big mistake I did... I use a Canon EOS M5 and I deactivate the SERVO option which is the focus mode for moving objects (besides the continuous focus in the main setting) and that is why I was struggling with people moving and getting blurry (yes... I was trying to 1-Point focus all the time with my finger, for the time I had everything tweaked people just moved).... I test a little bit with that and that improves the shoots a lot (moving conditions of course).
Thanks for this video, Benjamin
you're a ton of help to get started in photography! Thank you!!
Can you please make a video for night photography 😁
Love your videos, thanks for helping me to advance in my photography!

Hey Ben, thx a lot for this video.... I really love taking pics with my @6000 in combination with the sony1.8OSS... I use the AF-S and Single Spot at the most times... Greetings from the north of Germany.... 😊

Awesome! Great video! Im excited to try my new camera again I tried it once and gave up after 2 hours of trying different settings haha
Muchas gracias! Me sirvió mucho!!
so helpful thanks!
Point focus is definitely my favorite... af-s. I like that I take a photo and people are directed to where I want them in the photo. It is just fun.
Solid and on point 👍🏼
Very Useful... Thank Yu
I’ve just got a Sony a600 camera, And I’m finding your videos invaluable in the learning process! Please keep up the good work!!!

Sorry It's a6000 not a600
very help full,i've just bought the sony @6000
I’m still thinking of what camera to get between sony a5100 and a600 but I must say you must love the a6000!
DMF with the adjustable focus centre for static objects. C1 button set to bring up the adjustment setting. It took a long time to figure the C1 setting out. It enables you to keep on looking and readjust this focuspoint. Or.. for moving objects like lemons😬 or birds bees and other animals AF-C with shutter release activation. With adjustable focus centre
Ben, playlist for these beginner videos please! Danke.
I love how he brings up features specific to Sony cameras
So helpful
First comment. Always love your videos
you're videos are very good for beginners like me 🔥
Thank you sir! Great video for someone new to cameras. Any video on using Sony E10 with G series 18-105 lens?
Best for the beginners like me.
Nice demo
very helpful! more for a6000 please. your basic settings. thanks
AF-S is good for focus and recompose type of shots, also keep in mind that focusing in the center of the lens produce the best results, the edges are not that perfect.
You caught me using AF-A as a standard setting. However I play around with flexible spot as well as AF-C trying to catch some birds. But I dont get them in focus yet. BUT the focus FIELD with flexible fields could be the solution! I did not know that setting in my a6000! Thank you! I use this kit lense most but I also have the 55-210 3.5 I guess - the other cheap kit lense if you bought a camera set ;). Up to now I tried to catch the bird with focus in the middle and tried to have the bird in the middle of the picture. But I figured that AF-C does not work with focus on the middle or does it???
Nice video! The only part iam missing here is how the focus modes behave in filming mode. Mostly iam intrested in how to keep focus on a moving object while filming with the a6000. Is there a secound part about filimg coming too? Thanks!
You are a champion!! Love your videos.. where have you been my whole life... hahahaha I just want to go take pictures now!
Endlicchhhh dankee🙏🏽
Thanks for all the videos you put up !!! They are extremely helpful !!! I’m trying to be a self thought KZread camera man. Lol
this is what i need
Hey my friend. Love your channel. Keep up the awesome work. When is it ok to use 3:2 or 16:9
please do a video on how you grade your footage. Your grading is probably the best I've seen on a youtube channel. If you would sell a lut to get the look you use in all your videos I'd buy it.
Thank you for your informative videos. New subscriber here
Thank you
Damn! Ben really very helpful video ..im a beginner..justnbought Sony a6400..
make a video for what is the best setting for a live band in a dark bar! i got a6000 with sony mic on top and neewer stablizer, which is the best setting tho
Your videos are always very informative, I always look forward to them. Which adapter do you use on your Sony camera to mount canon lenses? Can you please make a video on adapters for Sony alpha cameras. In a few months I am planing to buy a Sony a6000. But the Sony cameras are very costly. I request you make a video on best budget to high range adapters for Sony.. cameras..
nice thanks....
I love your videos. And it's help me in my photography. I live in Bangladesh.
So what setting should I use to get an overall focused image? Not just focused on one specific object?
DMF is a thing of beauty once you get the hang of it.
Very nice
I've been using AF-S but i think I am really lucky because my Olympus allows me to move the focus very easily to whatever i want to be focused on.
Do you have any presets for light room? Love you videos 👍👍
Can you make a comparison between the Sony a6000 and the new Canon M50 :)
Awesome video!!! What mode would you recommend for photographing kids :) they’re so energetic 🤣🤣🤣
ben..can u suggest the best potraits lens for sony a6k?
wow!
hello , i just owned a6600 and this video quite helpful.. i liked point area of focusing and i personally like Manual Focus. I am astrophotographer by passion and using MF mode quite many times.. i want to know which adapter you use to connect Canon lens to E mount?
Hey bro do we need af lens for these-, what if I use a manual lens for film . Will AF-S not work in that case ? Thanks man
Which focus mode will be ideal for low light conditions??
It's super......
I use AF-C and AF-S
Random question: Sony A6000 or Panasonic G7 for photography? I'm a street photography enthusiast!! Witch one please, Thank you!
For taking Normal Family Photos/ everyday photos, which focus mode is best. I assume AF-S but should you use Focus area or Focus Point??
I have been troubled by the setting of the focus area. Under what circumstances should I use the wide area, center point, expanded elasticity or fixed-point method? Because it is often out of focus, as long as it is above 10 meters, the shooting purpose is humanities and street photography. The camera is a6600 and the lens is 18-105 f4. Thank you for taking the time to teach me.
Love your tutorials from iso, shutter speed and aperature wide... but this focus tutorial may or maynot be the same with others camera, like my fuji x-a10 it only have manual, multi, area, continous, and tracking... what about those? I only use manual with peaking and area focus since only those 2 focus mode that i really understand how its works...
my first camera is sony a6000 since April 2018 with kit lens + SEL 35F18, and i still learn it hahaha.... :)
I will try AF-C not sure if my Nikon D3000 has it
Beautiful Lemon 🍋
Thank you for this helpful tips. Just a question if I use the manual lens like from 7artisan.. Do my focus peaking will still activate..?

Which is the best focus mode for car photography to capture the whole car
do you use back button focus
Super video. Kannst du mir sagen, was der Hebel AEL/... bedeuted? Do someone know, what at the sony 6300 the AEL modus is?
@74luis
6 жыл бұрын
ᗩᒪᖴᗩ es bedeutet auto exposure lock, du kannst solange du ihn gedrückt hältst, die Belichtung ab diesem Moment speichern. Der Fokus ist aber trotzdem noch verstellbar :)
I see in your video that you use the P mode, what does it mean and its function? Because i don't nornally use that mode..thanks
I have an a6300 and I feel like when I try recording videos in the gym the camera is constantly focusing and unfocusing and refocusing again on different things, maybe the bar, or the arms of the machine we're using, or then the actual person. Just seems to bounce around. What focus settings would you recommend for a gym setting while recording videos?
