I was not a fan of skeleton dials but after seeing this, it's changed my mind. Seeing it executed so well by having super legible hour markets and a clear distinction between the skeleton and rest of dial just makes it an option I never knew existed for me. I live in Bangkok and this will be hard to find (since we don't have that much zenith on retail). But I'm very curious and would love to try it on to see if on the metal its as nice as it looks in video. This was a long winded way of saying... I really want this watch 🤣

It is a very nice watch but you have to wear it to know for sure. I’m pretty sure pendulum stores in Bangkok sell Zenith. There’s one in Siam Paragon mall. It’s not big but it’s down the row where there’s the Lange store, Patek and Panerai stores are. Maybe try there 😉 Thanks for stopping by. 👍

Pendulum does indeed stock Zenith, but we got all of 2 skylines for the whole of last year there, both of which I was only able to try on because a customer had pre-ordered and cancelled. So a bit difficult for us! Thanks for the great content, I recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching everything. You will be growing in subscribers in no time at this rate

Agreed with everything you said. I tried on the Defy Skyline and planned to buy it. However, this skeleton version is doing something, giving me a tingling sensation down below. Subbed!

I like the skeleton look and I think one will fit in my collection, quite well. I live in Seattle and have a more snappy casual look and I think this fits well with the Seattle aesthetic. Considering this is an El Primero movement, I’m in love. Going to keep my eyes peeled for the used market.

You either love it or you don’t. I love it and it’s on my “to buy very soon” list. One of the best skeletons out there. The mechanism for changing bracelet/straps is awesome (easy, idiot proof) and while for the most part I don’t like metal bracelets, this one, on the arm, feels and looks perfect. I’ll actually wear it, although I do love the rubber strap. Great review. 👍🏻

Although I had doubts about buying a replica watch, gussl dispelled my doubts. The watch has an authentic look and feel.

I was rolling when I heard your comment about the Cartier skeleton 😂. Because I saw one recently on a guy’s wrist and it bothered me to see the skin through it lol

Rado cap cook ceramic has some crazy legible skeletons. Love this zenith, might get one. Wish indices were not shortened compared to regular skyline defy, would’ve made legibility even better

Thanks for the video! Was looking at the defy skyline 36mm without the 10 second timer on 9 o clock. Think it looks more aesthetic. What do you think about the elite 670 movement in it versus the el primero movement in the larger edition? Should this drive my choice?

Love zenith. And this is a great dial, case, movement, and bracelet(s). But…..how often would I wear it? Not so clear.😢

I have the last generation of skyline skeleton, which I think is a better looking watch than this one. It's my first true luxury watch. I bought it as a daily, for exactly the reason you mentioned: it's something different. If I spend thousands of pounds on a watch, I want it to look striking and beautiful at the same time, the skeleton does that job pretty well.

Good video, earned my subscription. Been looking for some content on this watch and it reaply hasn't gotten enough media attention. Currently debating this versus the new Ingenieur. I could maybe stretch to the Laureato Copper, but for the price I'm not actually convinced that I even like it better than the Zenith or IWC.

Readability is the key for me, and this dial is quite good in that regard. They probably put a lot of thought into using a small seconds, but I think I’d rather see a large sweep second hand. Then again, maybe there’s nothing too exciting in that particular of the movement…I don’t know. I just can’t get all that excited about skeleton watches, though…but there must be a bunch of people who do, otherwise watch companies wouldn’t keep cranking them out. To each his own….

They are divisive for sure. I will probably do what I always do - appreciate the dial, think it's cool and then realise I would never wear it and then move on.

Not my call. You like what you like. My personal view on ceramic is - be careful if it's your only watch. They are unique but not always as versatile in general. There steel is often better, but if it's part of a broader collection - different story. Make the decision that feels right for you 😊

This one’s definitely a smoke show and good bang for your buck…
