Jaguars and leopards look very similar in a glance, cheetahs are pretty distinguishable.

I could see mixing a Jaguar with a Leopard, but a Cheetah? Come on now...

It's easy to tell a leopard from a jaguar: if you're in South America, that's a jaguar. If you're in Africa, that's a leopard.

If you see a cheetah with one of them in the wild then it's 100% a leopard since jaguars are only found in Latin America. Leopards are found in Africa and Asia.

Cheetahs are pretty easy to tell and if you don't know which hemisphere you are in you have bigger problems then figuring out which big cat is about to kill you.

This cleared things up nicely. I have no trouble figuring out a cheetah, but Jaguars and Leopards are the 2 I have trouble distinguishing.

The best differentiation. Also I noticed that between the Leopard and the Cheetah, the Cheetah tends to have ring-like spots on the tell, where as the Rosettes of the Leopard look spot-like. Thanks for the vid.
