I have a inkjet can I do this with cardstock and packing tape with the acrylic and drying?

Bought some laser jet transfer paper recently. I have a laser printer at work but can't change the settings on it as they're locked. Could I simply spray with clearcoat as if it was inkjet paper?

If you print say a batch of 8 decals and kept them for a while say 2 weeks will it still work?

I have a Xerox Phaser 8860 MFP - 9, which prints with wax cartridges. Will that work on your decal paper?

Hi, sorry that model won't work with our papers. You need to use a printer that does not use solid ink toner. It needs to be a regular laser toner.

I have tried several laser waterslides it takes a lot longer than 30 for the waterslide to separate from the backing.

If i use a laser printer. Is possible I put gold foil in the result using hot laminator? Is ur transfer paper can handle the heat?

Yes, the foil is highly heat resistant so it will withstand the heat inside the laminator.

Hi, Kelly I am afraid not, sorry. The coating on the laser paper won't absorb inkjet ink at all.. They are like water and oil... You are going to have to use inkjet decal paper for that.

Hi, you can print white letters with white toner printer such as OKI printer. :)

I printed on Laser Waterslide decal paper using my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 and the ink smeared terribly. Any ideas why this may have happened?

Hi, Iamges1. As laser printing relies on electromagnetic field, any disturbance will disrupt the adherence of the toner to the paper. The air gets especially dry during winter, so you will get these static electricity problems more often. To fix this issue, you could lay out the papers on the floor, and let them sit overnight. That way the papers can absorb moisture and you will not get printing issues. You could also wipe both papers and the printer drum with a tissue to remove any buildup of dust, which can also cause static electricity. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I have repaired laser printers for 35 years. I bet you need to put your printer paper setting on a thicker paper setting. Laser printers use heat and pressure to fuse the toner on the paper. Your decals maybe thicker and may not have gotten hot enough to fuse. If you set the paper setting to say cardstock it will slow your printer down and give the toner more time to fuse. I bet that was the problem.

Hi Sherylshe The clear decals look white because of the backing of the film. The colour doesn't indicate the appearance as clear decal means clear coloured film. If the whole ink came off, make sure to spray coat thoroughly before placing in water. Inkjet ink will dissolve in water unless you apply varnish. Thank you Jimmy

If you use an inkjet printer, you must first SEAL the printed side before submerging in water. The video says to do this before putting it in water. Inkjet printers that use pigment ink as opposed to dye ink have better results.

Jimmy, I am stuck! Ok... Clear Glass - Pink Wax - I would use "White Paper" because even though my wax will be a bright pink... I am putting an image of a friend's "Pink Rose" on it... but will the image stay on without any baking - heat - etc? There is no glue on this either I noticed... Do I still spray with clear? I have actually sprayed a clear glass with acrylic spray but it left a dull haze on it so I won't be doing that... Please help! Thank You

Hello, Christina Yes, the image will stay on glass, You don't have to cover coat with any sprays to make it stay. The product doesn't come with a glue because it is designed to work without one. Jimmy

It really depends. The laser decal paper is easy to use and you don't need a varnish to seal. It is also more water-resistent. Whereas the inkjet decal paper tends to have a better printing quality.

so if I make nail decals with a laser printer I don't have to seal them before dipping them in water?

yes, laser decals doesn't need to seal. After printing the decal, you can work with it right away. :)

Hi, Robin No, because inkjet decals have water soluble coating on top, which will reject oil-based laser toner. We are not based in China though. :)

it's clearcoat spray, basically clear spray paint. You can get it from any craft store and quote a few auto places

When i use the white it doesn’t slide off the backing. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi, Womnofdestiny. White decal paper takes longer time than the clear one to soak in the water. You have to wait for 1 minutes in a warm water. Try it once more, and if it doesn't work please contact us.

Hello, I won't recommend using silver or white ink on our decal paper. If you have a laminator at home, you could use our Film-Free Metallic Decal Paper which expresses whose colours much better. We have a video for that product on KZread as well.

Hi, Christina Sorry about the late reply. With printers, it's hard for us to test every single models, so we don't really make a recommendation. However, you would want to stay away from printers that use solid ink, so that applies to brands like FujiXerox Colorcube series. It's more important to change your printer setting such that it is able to feed thick decal papers. Hope this answers your question Jimmy

Inkjet waterslide decal paper can be used with only inkjet printers. Laser waterslide decal paper can be used only with laserjet printers.

Although we can't guarantee it will work this way with all printers. When testing our new Premium Tattoo Paper, we used Inkjet papers in a Laser Printer and it worked perfectly fine.

@@journeystorm8585 strippable coating is a liquid for temporary coating to stick the image/artwork onto the surface. You can remove the coating easily when it's dry after application (about an hour curing)

@@muhajiralan I wish I understood more. First off.. when he answered someone else asking if the item is washable after ... I thought that's why people used the waterslide decals and put the coating over it.. like in coffee cups? I think I need to watch more video's. I'm not sure also what the purpose of the "Strippable Coating" is for.... I would like to image mugs if possible while I am saving up for my 5 in 1 machine to do mugs, T-Shirts and more.

Hello, Ramil If your decal doesn't lift from the paper, you might want to leave it in water a little longer. Also, it could be that the water is not warm enough to separate two papers.

@@SUNNYSCOPA Make sure when the clear coat is dry that you trim the paper edges. If you sprayed clear coat on a precut decal sheet the clear coat will saturate the edge of the paper making the decal impossible to remove from backing paper.

I own a Brother laserjet and their support say that none of their laser printers could print on waterslide papers. I find it hard to believe this. Someone that owns a Brother laser printer and have tried this?

Hi, Matthew. You can, if you have the OKI white toner series.

Decal paper isn't ink or laser jet..Its nothing to do with the paper. Its got nothing to do with the paper at all.

They sell the decal paper for both laser and ink jet printers. I'm assuming there is a difference since you really didn't make a point here.
