Admission refers to any statement that provides an expression or inference as to the existence or non existence of any fact in issue or relevant fact in civil proceedings , Where as a confession refers to an affirmation of commiting a crime by accused ,provided it should not be in influence of any inducement ie sect 24'25 of Indian Evidence Act 1872 An admission may be a confession but a confession is not a admission in legal sense as it requires to be backed with more strong evidence and probabilities.
